4:33 $2.80 in Melbourne with blue card
you can find 1 maimai mechineS in Canada😂😂
There are also most of like Take, Punai Punai Senso, all from Risyuu feat Choco have A LOT of changes too in maimai and its original
Theres also some cases like inchaos, crush on you, beat of mind, fujin rumble and vertex which originally had a MV that got removed in later versions
i find it interesting solely because it looks like some maimai made songs have a whole story behind it and i did wrote one on reddit it was very fun
hell yeah new maimai content lore discussion when
hey man did you see they added pop'n music jubeat and ongeki to cityheroes
I saw ongeki got added I didn't see the others, definitely going to check it at some point
HI WATER IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN !
3:15 Im 50% sure its because the footage is a parody of rythm heaven
i love this video tbh
theres some charts actually designed with the bga, not many RGs able to do that. For example 1:12 the bga is one of the UI back in maimai green, the note is like tapping the skip button.
All songs in the metropolis chiho use generic videos for the bga
great video quality man
mope mope be wilding fr
Mope mope be like: here’s a boat, go wild
The reason why the two BGA's are the same at 6:10 is because they're both from the Metropolis area so they're probably just reusing stuff since its the same theme
all metropolis chiho mvs use the same clips, at this point i just call them metropolis stock footage
I was about to mention that one. You can go back to the very first Metropolice Chiho songs like 魔ジョ狩り, Twisted, and Blows Up Everything; they all had pretty much the same "MV"
The mirror effect in 1:31 actually is a throwback to how OG maimai (up to FiNALE) show videos that weren't in 1:1 aspect ratio
Originally maimai didn’t really commission specific BGAs. besides visualisers for certain songs there’s also the motion capture BGAs for pop songs and later anime OP sequences , dance videos from niconico (oh the days) and later MVs, game music accompanied with game footage and Joypolis ones lifted straight from Halfpipe, the physical ride attraction. Being a casual oriented game some charts even ask you to mimic movements from the dance MVs (particularly the nico ones), but I suppose it was out of integrity that originals have their own MVs since the Joypolis ones also had theirs. There are only a handful of games that actively commission BGAs to use them in game (IIDX, EZ2DJ, DJMAX, maimai, Beatstream [RIP], WACCA plus the idol ones). The thing with BGAs is that it’s an additional cost (and storage space) for a song, and I think that’s part of the reason why some tracks are visualisers jammed together especially in the early DX era where the future might be uncertain for them since it’s kind of a soft brand reboot. Later originals are mostly just the usual BGA MVs featuring OCs (which I have mixed feelings about, I don’t particularly feel anything about the OCs because they don’t have deep lore like Chunithm, maybe writing scripts for so much characters is also an incurred cost). But that’s why I appreciate maimai’s BGAs or just BGAs in general, they elevate already awesome songs into a whole new level. When I play the songs on the cabinet or watch the MVs from old ones like Glorious Crown to new ones like Sølips and Tsunagite, I do really feel like I’m viewing a piece of artwork. You could say that they’re obligated to do it as it’s part of their identity, but it’s definitely something that goes over people’s heads and I do appreciate Sega and other companies’ continuous sponsorship for the growth of an art form and medium.
Just wanna nit 1:42, it's BMS not IIDX. Common mistake that doesn't matter too much but they're different games with relatively different communities like ITG vs DDR :)
Oh yeah at 3:15 it's probably edited bc it's a rhythm heaven reference
The maimai BGA for SEKAI-chan to KAFU-chan no Otsukai Gassoukyoku always gets a good laugh out of me compared to the youtube version
It's literally mosaic tiles lol considering that the MV has multiple references which were censored
@@sigmarthcipherius5153 exactly
They can't cut anything because everything is a reference, instead they'd just censored everything. 😂😂😂
I’m really happy to see someone talks about music videos in maima, they put a lot of effort in to it but there is just not much people talks about it
I definitely agree that these videos are pretty amazing, it adds a lot to the experience of playing the game. I remember when I used to play maimai DX; I loved the MVs of some of the songs. It makes me sad that maimai FiNALE decided to turn off their MVs for the offline version because that’s the only maimai cab closest to me 😅
great video! i'm happy someone else appreciates background videos, they have just as much work put into them as the song and chart and i'm glad there isn't an option to disable them small note though, at 1:42 IIDX ≠ BMS (despite having the same gameplay) and songs like ozma, Rush-Hour, etc. were made for BMS
3:17 the reason why the maimai cut is different is because the original youtube cut references the Packing Pests minigame from Rhythm Heaven
Maimai’s music videos and BGAs are really amazing to just look at. Like, you can’t look at me and say that these videos aren’t literal eye candy.
I’m so surprised How’s IIDX not included in that kind of video and dance rush is
Fizzd next question
I'm only 40, thanks 🤣🤣🤣
i swear Arcaea just have all the most insane song ever
Did you look into Naoki Maeda? He made music for Bemani between 1998-2013 and is still producing songs for games like Stepmaniax. The hard part is that he uses way too many aliases on his songs.
Why didn't you use featured artists list for osu? I know they aren't songs officially made for osu but they are still featured as a song for use in osu
5 months late but here we go! i dont think theres actually a "king" Yeah you have artist like camellia that are insanely popular, but popularity imo doesnt automatically make you a king. Personally, it really just depends on the game series and communitys. if its beat saber, its camellia, if its arcaea, its laur, if its osu or rhythia, then its practically everyone cause the osu and rhythia communitys will find some of most unknown artist and songs to make charts with and its led me to finding people like Seifuku Yangire who is absolutely legendary. if we go off popularity, then imo at the top would be Laur, LeaF, Camellia, Kobaryo, T+pazolite, kurokotei, XI, Frums, Chroma, Exilelord, DJ Myosuke and literally anything Halley Labs personally. But youve also got alot of other names name Diabarha, DJ Sharpnel, DM Dokuro, F-777, Filthy, ReeK, Goreshit, Helblinde, Hyper Driver, ICE, Igorr, Kors k, USAO, Loffciamcore, M1dy and M1dlet, Meganeko, Mii, and Noma to just name a handful of the top of my head, i could go ON and ONNN naming artists i like cause of my love for rhythm games and hell, EDM as a whole really. it just really isnt fair to name 1 single person as the king when theres SO FUCKING MANY good artist out there that in one way or another deserve the same attention someone like Kobaryo or Camellia gets.
Also, could of done ranked songs for osu simply cause they have to be endorsed by the games dev ppy to be ranked iirc
Technically NAOKI has the most songs in DDR if we include his aliases but I could be wrong
22:05who would’ve guessed 😐
omg HowToPlayLN mentioned?
I feel like it also depends on what kind of game you're looking at. Different artists have different requirements for licensing. That's actually why you rarely see Ebimayo, Myukke, Frums, Lime and LeaF in huge rhythm games, but see them everywhere in small indie rhythm games, that's because they provide free licensing for non-profit RGs (Also it pains me to see how JSaB is included here, but oh well, it doesn't affect the list whatsoever anyway)
so basically bc phigros doesnt have any pay to play things like other games do they have better songs?
@@djnanmowakaran Not necessarily better, just different, as better is subjective. It's simply that for-profit games can't really use songs by those artists without paying, while non-profit indie RGs can use the songs for free, so they do
@@Fafr makes sense.
I was walking around Round One, and I'm you haven't been there, it's a fairly expensive arcade but has a TON of games and variety, including maybe half Japanese arcade games. Out of all the large selections of rhythm games, this one stood out and I fell in love with it with one play, AND it let me play 4 songs per credit!
Just 550 subs? Lemme fix that
Most common artist for Geometry Dash might be Creo.
me i have potato pc and i install the arcade ver of sound voltex exceed gear and all the latest song is unlock of the latest kfc ver and i can play also on offline by using song software and for the controller i just make that by raspberry pico and song ramdom key switch but yeah my pc is sucks and olny play 60fps all the song and for some songs its deoping almost 20fps >W<
I only played once at an arcade and Im not sure of something. The size of the notes change from large, normal, and small, does it mean then that I have to adjust the number of fingers i use to tap the board with per section? If so, by how many fingers for standard? Or can all four fingers be used to tap even the small notes and it will be registered the same?
you only need at least 1 finger to touch a note, the size of the note just lets you hit different areas
@@waterdnk Got it! Thanks!! 😊
It's honestly impressive how almost everything was wrong
imagine if everything will freeze
arcade are always the top dog, but you can make the home version just like the arcade by getting some switches and sanwas from BSE (blue spring express) tho i hardly touch the pc port cause i travel to the city for work and just play at the cade (sydney gamer)
Katoomba mention????
we have sound voltex at home the sound voltex at home:
on a more serious note, the closest arcade with an SDVX cab is overseas so my public transportation cost is more along the lines of $250
obviously arcade is better, but you need access to one...
For the lights, I think I found a bug in the firmware to help with that :) You need to plug in both the regular USB cable and the USB-C cable for the brighter lights first. Then, you need to turn off all lights with the START + all 4 BTs button combo like in the vid. Afterwards, remove the USB-C cable. Now the side/top LED will turn back on automatically (only a little less bright because less power) BUT the BT/FX leds are still turned off! :D This way you can still enjoy the top/sides lighting effects without getting flashbanged on every button you press. I don't know if they patched since I bought my con 2-3 months ago, or if you ever updated your fimrware or something (I never did), but hopefully it works for you!
Luckily in the UK, there are a few Sound Voltex cabinets dotted around the country, and I’m lucky enough to live travelling distance from it and it’s so much better playing in the arcade than at home. You can connect with people and just have fun.
I'm quite sure you do not need to say your region in Japan, unless something pops up later.
Nah you need to get the Japan region, but also why set it to other countries. Unless you are thinking of going to kac I just do Jo region
As someone in Germany: Arcades were illegal until 2003, and after that, nobody bothered opening one, because fun fact: Nobody here enjoys videogames. When they say they're a gamer, they're usually talking about clash of clans or, god forbid, fifa. People here only know how to "have fun" by the means of getting drunk and yelling at soccer. There exists ONE arcade in my entire state, and it only has a stepmaniax cabinet. The rest is old rail shooters and casino machines.
hi-score is an arcade that opened a few months? ago in hannover, they have iidx, jubeat, sound voltex, wacca, dancerush, chunithm? and a few others definitly check it out if you can
Not sure about the reason as to why, but here in Russia we never really had any proper arcades either. The best we have is a bunch of PIU cabs and one arcade with DDR in Moscow, but that's it. But oh well, rhythm games generally are really unpopular here, so I doubt it'd even be worth it for companies to import cabs to this country. I doubt they even can, given the whole thing our government is doing right now
