My fav Jan book was The Answer is No by Fredrik Backman. I remember reading the Cheat Sheet a few years ago and loved it back when I started reading romance. After your review I want to reread it to see if I still feel the same way.

I really enjoyed the house in the pines tho……..

I have so many I'd like to read this month but I'm starting with Hooked by Emily McIntire, The Only One Left by Riley Sager, and Heartstopper Vol 3 by Alice Oseman.

My least favorite was First Lie Wins

Love Unwritten didn’t hit for me. I flew through it but it was entirely way too long. And I’m someone that actually loves when romances are chunky. I didn’t connect to the characters except the kid. The kid was the stand out. I enjoyed book one though so I have every intention of reading book 3. You have me side eyeing Beautiful Ugly now though.

I recently read The Women, and I'm glad I had a little background knowledge of the time period. 5 stars, but definitely not for the faint of heart, just like most of her books

Gold rush ranch series is so fun! The front runner is my fav! Love redesigning was so good too! It was more emotional than I thought! My fav January read was fall with me by beck’s Mack! It was so emotional and so heartwarming and has the best found family with an mmc who’s a major cat dad! It’s the fourth in the playing for keeps series by Becky Mack and my personal fav so far (there’s still one more coming)!

I read the Four Winds by Kristin Hannah, and I did not like it. It was my first book by her, so I've been hesitant to read more of her books.

Bear Town is one of my favourite books of all time - highly recommend! It takes a little time to get to know all of the characters, but once you do, it‘s phenomenal! The second book in the series is also incredible. ❤

I’ve been reading Catherine Cowles series for years - great backlist. All her books are small town romantic suspense. Glad you loved!

Totally agree with your comments about Beautiful Ugly! The end was ridiculous! I read Dance of Anger years ago, it's very helpful.

A Curse For True Love was my favorite book in January. I loved it! I gave it four stars. The more I read the book the more I hated Apollo! I’m so glad that Evangeline and Jacks had the happy ending they deserved.

I read Love Redesigned and Love Unwritten were both five star reads last year when I read them. I absolutely love the Lakefront Billionaire series so far!

Absolutely loved Night Road! My favorite book this month was No Exit by Taylor Adams -an amazing winter thriller.

I just started The Woman, first Kristen Hannah book!

I think Nightingale by Kristen Hannah was my favorite read of January. Definitely want to read more of her books. Fragile Sanctuary was also a favorite.

Wedding people was my favorite January read. Also liked Variation! Off to a good start 🙂

My favorite book from this month was "Reminders of Him" by Colleen Hoover!

I did my first Rebecca Yarros book on audible because it was free. VARIATION was so good as I was listening to it i thought if I was physically reading this I would not have enjoyed it as much.

I read 14 books this month which is great for me cause I normally read 8-10 my favorite this month was my book of the month pick, "The Favorites" by Layne Fargo. It was a 6⭐ read for me. It's ice skaters who compete in ice dancing. 😢 Also on reading the great alone in February!

I loved Love Unwritten I read it during new years read it in one day finished it at night it was so good.

Love this idea! I LOVE my local library and it doesn't get the credit it deserves.

The Frozen River is phenomenal!

I listened to Variation on Audible and enjoyed it that way a lot. Two books I enjoyed in January were All Our Tomorrows and The Forgotten One, both by Catherine Bybee. Can't wait for the third book later this year.

I use to love Penelope Douglas but I don’t read dark contemporary romance or taboo much these days. In my opinion, Punk 57 is one of her more tame reads and I have always loved it, read it multiple times and would read it more still. I’m not saying you’ll necessarily love it too but I found it unique even in a time when all I picked up was contemporary and/or dark romance. I didn’t care for Birthday Girl either. Punk reads fast especially if you’re into it. I remember reading it in hours on NYE years ago. Good luck. 😂❤

I read the whole "Madison Kate" series by Tate James this month, and those were my favorite reads. I think you should only add it to your TBR if you're a fan of "enemies-to-lovers" and "why-choose". That series kept me engaged, and I enjoyed how the relationship between the characters changed. The banter was so funny and so entertaining. There's also a "whodunnit" aspect to the whole series so, that was intriguing. It was a wild ride 🙂

I read the Rebel Blue Ranch series by Lyla sage and I was obsessed! I have Elsie silver’s cowboy romances and other romances on my TBR!
