Day Ten - Mt. Akina Assetto Corsa (6:21.766) AE86 Tuned
9 days late, not a PR breaker but I am back. I had to take a break for a little while and surprisingly this is my first run after my unplanned hiatus. Even though the time sucked, I felt this run helped me get more familiar with the second half of the course considerably so. I am driving safer in order to learn how to walk before I can run, in an attempt to improve my basic car control.

Not a good day today, as this was the best time I could get somehow. The absolute nonsense that happened at about 2:00 completely messed with my rhythm and I only kept going because this was my last run of the night and I somehow didn't get a penalty for having my 86 perform a kickflip off of the edge of the gutter. You know, it kind of upsets me that my best time so far is one where I had to literally drop the car into reverse and crashed several times before the five consecutive hairpins and crossed the line with a broken windshield. Apologies for the hiatus, I had to do some prep for my exam. I decided to switch things up a little bit and try out a different car with a bit more punch, the Mazda RX-7 Spirit R.* This car honestly feels way more natural and stuck to the ground than the AE86 Tuned, and I can definitely feel how much heavier it is with also the slight turbo lag. Cleanest run so far, no crashes until after the finish line. I apologize for the uncertain lap time, I completely forgot to save it after finishing it. WIth day two I found myself crashing way less all the way up until the last quarter of the course. I feel like I have gotten slightly better at my braking technique, but I am still iffy on controlling/getting myself out of slides.
