How reliable is the RAM test? And does it have a general rule or something you need to do while testing it, eg, setting it to a certain percentage?
keep the threads and instruction set to auto and the percentage is how much of the RAM you want to test. so like my system a 100% test would run a test using all 32gb of system memory
@@TheBuildBench Thanks, I've ran the test twice, 50% and 80%. Seems like I have it correctly done then since both of them are set to auto. ButI've found some problems since errors occur and I can't even run the test for 1 minute without risking a BSOD. I've reseat the RAM and same deal. Is my board/ram slot or the ram itself are cooked or it's normal for that to happen during tests?
Thanks man this was really helpful. I will be using this on the used laptop I am going to buy
Thanks, Im glad the vid helped you out!
you can't install mystic light for this keyboard because it doesn't support any per key RGB lighting styles. You might be able to install MSI gaming gear to do macros etc
Yeah found that out the hard way, even though people on Reddit say it works with mystic light
When i change my max frequency to 2100 and hit apply changes it reverts back to 2400. Any ideas?
is the actual undervolt still applying though? sometimes you can get faster clock speeds because of the reduced voltage and temps
My OCCT just closed out after 5 seconds of doing the stress test... yikes.
@@shdagentzero which test are you running at the time, CPU?
@@TheBuildBench Oh sorry, I forgot to say that. Yes, it's the CPU test. The first one you did.
@@shdagentzero is your CPU overclocked?
@@TheBuildBench I'm not sure what that means, but I will look into it and get back to you once I find out that info.
@@TheBuildBench Omg. My Memory says: 32.0GB and Memory usage is at 31.8GB
It’s odd that you’re the only channel on the entirety of TH-cam actually showing how to undervolt this card
@@kangerer8886 i suppose that's a good thing for me though. I am surprised though, thought there would be alot of the same videos
You dont strictly need the keycap puller, it is useful, but not required
for what the actual switch? i know you dont need it for the caps
@@TheBuildBench for the switches, you have a switch puller, not the keycap puller
@Crazynes-1000 its on the same tool, i assumed you were just calling the whole thing the keycap puller
@@TheBuildBench some keyboards come with them as 2 seperate tools
I always buy mechanical keyboards in this price range or less, the red switches are probably just something unbranded from china and the rgb isn't true rgb, its 20 set modes to choose from so thats why the program won't work. True rgb keyboards often cost a lot more and I don't think its worth it, so long as its backlit I'm happy. I think the keyboard came out in Oct 2024.
i was using a keyboard called a Drevo which i think is also Chinese, used otemu brown switches, but had fully controllable RGB through an app called power console. the only downsides to that keyboard was the no hot swappable switches and the enter and space stabilisers used to rattle
@@TheBuildBench I just noticed that I can see in the video that they are maybe Jixian switches. Its really hard to see but the logo writing looks similar to my current Jixian switches. I'm waiting for the keyboard in video. I think the best place to find information on those would be aliexpress. I never checked before but its likely those have been in all my other cheap oem chinese mechanical keyboards. Ive no complaints for the price (they always last me years) and funk paying 100's for a keyboard. We can also just buy whatever switches we like since its hotswappable.
@@magpie4043 i mean if they are a cheaper Chinese switch, then they feel really nice to be honest. I'm used to using brown switches but i really like the red ones with this board. Like you said though, you could swap them to whatever, Ill be honest ive never tried really high end switches, but i cannot see how they can be much better really.
@@TheBuildBench I have to correct myself, they are Outemu! Yeah I'd like some browns. I love the bump
i got the keyboard myself. few issues i have with it: mystic light or any other rgb software doesnt work. you only have the rgb modes that the keyboard gives. the multimedia buttons dont work sometimes like they should. doesnt work as forward and just changes the light for some reason. still solid keyboard for 35-40 edit: steelseries software doesnt work either to change lightning. at least not steelseries gg.
i cant even install mystic light, MSI programs are trash and yeah i couldnt get steelseries to work, i read a post on reddit saying it does though. but i agree, all in all its a solid keyboard, i like the red switches they have used
this MB + 9600X
or hopefully a 9800X3D if i can find one lol
Cheers for the build, runs great!!!
No problem 👍
You can get out way more performance with More Power Tool. That tool allows you to override the voltage limit to get that sweet 1150mv the 6800XT has available.(basically the artifical brake that holds down the non x variant). With the voltage increased you can overclock to 6800XT levels of performance. That 12 missing CUs are not even noticeable once the clock is above 2,6Ghz.
@@Squilliam-Fancyson might have to take a look at that, never seen more power tool, thanks for the heads up
@@TheBuildBenchif it is safe enough can you do a guide on it?
@reap-gaming what overclocking in general, or using more power tool?
@TheBuildBench using more power tool
@reap-gaming yeah ill do a tutorial on it, as for how safe it is, its not as safe as say afterburner, because you are limited on voltage on that if you take the limits away you can literally cook your gpu
Thanks
No problem
Nice vid! How are your cpu temps so low bro?
its only a I5 10505 which is a 65w TDP CPU and i have a 360mm AIO cooling it, so its abit overkill
I find my temps in OCCT are 20% lower than in Cinebench, more similar to temps I get in games.
@@derbigpr500 yeah i mean i prefer OCCT for stress testing, some people prefer cinebench. aslong as you dont get temps from speccy, that thing can be wildly wrong sometimes
I ran a combined test for 15 min and had zero errors detected.. go to play cod and mid game I crash and pc reboots. I am so over trying to solve this crashing issue. All drivers and BIOS are up to date, no hardware issues, and I can’t find anyone who can find a software problem… I should of stayed on console
@@SkoiTcoD to be fair call of duty runs like garbage on PC, alot of people have no software/hardware issue and get alot of crashes. do you not get any sort of error code after the crash?
Great video. Just sold my Sapphire RX 9800 XTX Pulse and used the money to buy a decent camera, and the money left over I bought a msi rx 6800 gaming z trio. I'm not bothered about high-end gaming now. My priorities have slightly changed now. It's more of video editing and a little general gaming on the side. So I'm sure the RX 6800 will do alright at that.
@@Grimey_Lad yeah, the 6800 should serve you well, I'm after a good camera for recording videos for this channel Without spending a fortune, but I know nothing about cameras

ive never used a VPN, i agree mcafee/norton resource hogs and way too expensive
Ok so you obviously don't know anything about browsers because Firefox and Chrome are absolutely different things. Firefox is the only browser that doesn't based on chromium and uses it's own web engine. And also because of this it is the only one that supports real ad-free browsing experience with uBlock Origin. I don't know how you can make a video about recommending not to use something without even having any knowledge about the topic.

Nice, Not use any of the 7000 series yet, I think my next upgrade will be a 4080 when the 50 series comes out, Nvidia cards are better for video editing
The truth is it's all you need. Plus water blocks exist for it. Plus if you simply enable fast mem you've turned the tide on low 2D transfer rate without ever touching the 2D clock slider. That's why all these benchmarks are wrong about it. What you have there is a piece of the history of the fall of nVidia and Intel, It's the RDNA 2 with powerful compute units.
