Welcome to my channel. My name is Dubbzi and I am an AFOL MOC Builder. I am a massive Lego and Star Wars fan.
I am going to be creating MOCs based on Star Wars, DC and more. I am also creating a custom Gotham LEGO City. The aim of the channel is to share my creations in a chilled and relaxed atmosphere, whilst showing the different building techniques I'm using and the thought processes I go through with the builds.
This channel is a clean and safe, family friendly place to enjoy LEGO content.
I have recently converted my garage into a LEGO studio and am rebuilding my Gotham City. I will be trying to upload twice a week. I am also building the TANTIVE IV from Star Wars a New Hope. This is going to be a massive vehicle measuring over 3 meters in length. This will be a monthly series.
I do put the occasional update on Instagram (will try and put more on in the future).

BUILDING GOTHAM CITY IN LEGO - The Raised Roads
In this update I work on the raised platform . Running low on parts prevent me from doing as much as I would have liked so I then turn my attention to the raised road section and the slip roads that connect the two levels of the city.

Totally awesome!! Soon as them walls went up you can see the city coming to life!! Brilliant update
Thank you @martinpage1453, Will be so good getting that entire section up to the correct height and covered.
Loving this series so much, amazing work
Thank you @ajyoung1234 , Good to hear 🙏
Excellent Dubbzi!. Your visions are coming together and look really sweet!
Thanks Dion 🙏
That bridge is looking really impressive, it’s going to look amazing when you can start adding vehicles to it (although I don’t know how you’ll stop them rolling down the slip roads may need some blue tack).
Thanks Taylor. All I will need to do is use a snot brick on the road, add a couple of plates to it and then attach the base of the vehicle to the studs.
@@dubbzibricks I completely forgot your roads were made of bricks and not tiles 🤣 that makes it a lot easier for you placing vehicles and people on the ramp then
starting to get ambitious, great work !
Thank you @matthieudesormeau2169, It is certainly challenging.
Nice seeing your project and what's already been done! One curiosity: I found your channel the exact same day Lego annouced the X-Mansion. And I thought it's cool, of course I liked it, but they've already made 4 "modulars" for Marvel, but none for DC yet. Not even a Wayne Manor in this format, or a simplified Wayne Tower built lke the Daily Bugle. Seeing your project is really inspiring. And not only for DC related stuff, but also other things that could be easily added to other cities, like the harbor and the subway.
Thank you @FelipeVinhao , Hopefully one day LEGO will start to do more DC sets. Fingers crossed the Arkham Asylum that is rumoured for next year will be the start of it.
Taking things to another level hehehe
😂😂@stefansauvageonwhat-a-twis1369
I wish I could fast fwd :P
It is going to take a fair amount of time to get the full vision realised @Slamdoxicalz
I just found you, your channel and this project, and I have to say it.. Bloody hell this is incredible, love from italy
@@kenshiro7293 Welcome to the channel. Hope you enjoy the content.
Looking good 👍
Thank you @theroaringbricks, much appreciated
Do you create your buildings in bricklink studio beforehand? I am curious on your process.
@@TreeSpire I just have an idea of how I want them to look and then get the bricks out and start experimenting. The only time I use Studio is for things like the upcoming Roller coaster. When it is Lego parts that I have never used before and need to order in. I did try using Studio for the subway line, but found it too fiddley. Great question, I will try and cover it in my next video.
You should plan an spillway from ACE Chemicals into the waterway and blend between translucent green to the blue... give us a nice joker toxin spill!!!
That's the plan @chrisgreen1525 👍. I am going to have the pipes out of the back of Ace spilling into a small rocky and swamp like area which is then going to be spilling into the water. Will be experimenting with the different water colours very soon.
Love the off stud river!
Thank you @cksbricks7791. It is nice to get away from a grid like city.
With the tumbler, you could use the micro build and upscale that to got the dimensions of your Gotham. I don't think it would be too hard to do with your skill and knowledge and should look pretty epic when finished.
Thank you @MarkColley-f3c . That is not a bad shout and thank you for such a compliment. It is an exciting challenge that I am looking forward too.
Would you consider adding the Belfry Clock Tower?
The look of the Belfry Clock Tower is the sort of design that I had envisaged @reagandotson2059. I want that old Gothic look. Thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated.
Nice overview of the project. Bet you are loving time in the new lego room. River looks better at an angle, good swap.
Thank you @davidfisher5507. I sure am can't wait to get out there each day.
cant wait to see it come together, earned a new subscriber
Thank you @brickzburg, much appreciated for the comment and sub 🙏
It might me be cool to add some greens, tans and other merky colors the water to add some polution into moc
I am going to be experimenting with the water colours in the coming weeks @badlegochannel6365 👍. I am going to try several different coloured plates under different coloured trans tiles to see what looks the most appropriate for Gotham.
I really like your city, and how thoughtful yet fun it is. I love that you've blocked out all these various height changes and bridges and underpasses and give a lot of space and connectivity for your fun locations. I'm not a city builder for the foreseeable but I quite enjoy your videos, builds and experiencing it through your perspective!
Thank you @dekisui 🙏. Good to hear. It is great fun building Gotham and glad others are enjoying it as well 👍
It was cool to see all the older buildings again, the park sounds like a great idea to make it a more realistic city, if you decide not to make the park covered in snow, it could be a good place for poison ivy to hang out.
I was going to do a green house on top of one of the buildings with Poison Ivy taking over the roof and the plants coming down the sides of the building. I was also going to have a second Ivy breaking out of Arkham with the help of her plants.
A lil suggestion for the possible boat, perhaps it could be a slice of one like one of those cutaway image's which could allow for some more visible interior details
I may make it with a removable panel on the hull, I want to have the full boat on display as I think the look of that will be what the dock needs. But I do like the idea of story telling within the boat.
I have also been thinking about doing the abandoned zoo from Batman returns and it have been suggested by one of my followers so we might do the same thing .Think this will be fun.
@@thepeculiarswede8617 sounds awesome. Or maybe the zoo from Lego Batman The Videogame.
@@OminOUs_aNonYmoUs47 Never played that ( because I'm old ) but I will check it out.
Cool. I have just checked out your channel @thepeculiarswede8617. Have subscribed and look forward to catching up on your builds. Had a quick look at Arkham and ACE chemicals and they look AMAZING! Will watch them in full later. The abandoned Zoo would be amazing. Just hope I can fit everything in that I want too. I could have a table twice the size of my current table and it would still be too small. 😂
Good to hear the plans moving forward, I think once you get that train going it will bring the whole place alive.
Thanks Mike, I can't wait to get that raised train line in. I want to try and concentrate on getting the raised road erected so that I can work out the exact height that the train line needs to be. Exciting times ahead.
Yeah, I was actually wondering how you were going to fit the battrain into the space you have and not look out of place and scale. Problem solved, no train 😅. Awesome update, you got lots done towards this new plan. I like where the dock has been moved to. I think your plans change faster than I change my socks 😅jk. Thanks Dubbzi, excellent update!
🤣Thanks Dion. I do think that removind the Bat train will improve the overall look of the city.
I think the idea with the park is awesome! Can't wait to see it all completed, well done!
Thank you @OminOUs_aNonYmoUs47 🙏
Your channel is seriously underrated man, love the in depth way you get into how moc building works, really helpful to see your process!

Hello@@roytomasvillasor9228 , Welcome
The dedication to details is inspiring, very well done.
Thank you GucciGengar. 🙏
Looks Great
Thank you @avondez, Much appreciated
I was impressed with version 1 of the warehouse but version 2 looked so much more right. You have a good eye for this.
Thanks @davidfisher5507, I got lucky coming across the pieces that I did. Really pleased with how they came out.
Keep it up!
Will certainly try @AdrianMuns 👍
I love this warehouse! You're doing an amazing job. BTW, set 70915 from the year 2017 had a "Falcone's Legit Construction Co." sticker on a white tile - could be fun to put somewhere.
Thank you @jeremyfee, I do have that set to make so will be good to make use of the sticker in the city.
Super impressed by your ability to redo a section till you truly get it right! Massive respect 🔥
Thanks @Axidroid 🙏
Could you give a quick pan around the build in your next video please? I’d love to see where you’ve placed everything in conjunction with the cave etc. if you’ve already done it I apologise if I’ve missed it.👍🏻
@@inkbytes9440 sure, no problem. Will add an update in the next video of the latest vision/plans for the city
Hey Dubbzi. Once you get the bay doors in place then we'll talk 😂.jk Seriously though, the first iteration was nice, but the second ine is dynamite. Nive letter work and the olive green is a nice addition. The drab colours are definitely screaming Gotham. Love it brother.😊
Thanks Dion 😂
It Falcon-E- strongly pronounce the E at the end
I just go by how it's pronounced in the Gotham TV series
🤓
For the 'Gotham Harbor' signage: A method i usually do for this lettering in particular is sticking to the same 'font' for the letters. (Maintaining the straight edges and within the size of 5x5 plates**) For example, for the 'B', i would make it very similar to how you've done your 'A' and just make the bottom plate black. The 'R' has always been tricky for me to not make it look like the 'A' at this scale; but may be done in 2 ways: 1. Small sticker from Lego sticker sheet matching color to take out middle of right plate (I know a bit cheaty but best way to get that 1x1 plate thickness to complete the look) OR 2. Turn the 'A' into a 'P' and where the section is missing have your same method of Cheese slopes except now with the horizontal line is there. (This will have the cheese slope extended into the gap between letters potentially connecting two letters but can be controlled by adding a extra plate of gap after R's only. This will give a consistent spacing but will affect your connection points on bottom such as your 'H'. May have to work around and have it all on tiles and connected at back/top instead) Drawbacks to this scale and method are that B's look like 8's and D's look like O's... As always great video Dubbzi, love seeing the progress on the city! Sorry for all the waffle and words, its so difficult describing techniques without pieces. **Note you can get away with 1/2 plate differences for N's etc which need to be completely sideways!**
Thanks @Marshall_Law2006 🙏. I am determined to find/create a new font for the writing. I don't want to be restricted to just a couple of styles. Unfortunately there are not that many online that I have found that I like. Thanks for the tips 👍
Looks great. I love how every building has its own personality. I'm so glad we can see this step by step. If I was looking at just the finished product so many of the fine details could be missed.
Thank you @christianbrass6959, It would be nice to add the finer details as I go along, however I desperately need to sort my LEGO pieces out so I can find the parts that I need.
the final wall effect looks amazing. it reminds me of those tippical wavy metal sheets out of with lots of warehouses are build (at least where i live). well done.
Thanks @madmax6220, That was the look that I was after. I was originally going to use the panel pieces, but they aren't available in Olive Green on LEGO.COM, hence going over to bricks. So pleased that I found the parts out that I did as it was exactly the look I was hoping for.
Love your Videos Mate. Always great to see your Progress. Your living out my dreams. 😂🫡
Thanks @juliusm6250 😂. I do feel like I am living the dream building Gotham. It is so much fun.
Another great update and I always learn new techniques watching your videos, things I would not think of. Boy you are hard on yourself tearing apart past work as not quite happy but you are absolutely right as the finished building look and especially the sign looks the business!
Thanks Mike, If first you don't succeed, try, try and try again 😂. Good to hear you are picking up some techniques 👍
The two studs on the building instead of the four looks a lot better, when you had the diagonal corners it looked a lot like the docking bays you’d see on a lot of the larger Star Wars ships like the venator and felt slightly too futuristic for Gotham, but glad you’re happier with the design!
Thanks Taylor, Totally agree. There was something about it that didn't look or feel right. Much happier with the latest version.
Great progress Andy, the station looks stunning!
Thank you Klaus, It is getting there. Will be good to get the raised area all plated off so that I can get the stairs going all the way up.
Have you considered trying to add the Penguins Zoo from Batman returns? It could give a bit more variety than just buildings, although I'm not sure you have room, the city is already starting to look crowded.
@mortagon1451, I am going to be adding a scene from Batman Rerturns where the Penguin parents throw him in the river With the river leading to the Penguins and an his lair. The park with the river will get away from the buildings. I won't have room for a full zoo, not yet anyway
The US spelling is comic accurate anyway :)
I thought I would check before building. So used to spelling it with a U 😂
Great video, love the design for the crane, especially how you incorporated several realistic play features into it. I’m excited to see what more you include within the docks. As always looking forward to more and I can’t wait. Gave video a huge like and keep up the great work
Thanks @Lego-Man123 🙏, Although the cranes didn't need the play features, once I started them I just felt like they needed to be added. Really pleased with how they came out.
@ No worries and agreed
Great video, I love the design for the subway and how you made it, especially the curved bits. Like always looking forward for more and I can’t wait. Gave video a huge like and keep up the great work.

The new crains look amazing. Bringing Gotham to an even better look. Can't wait for your next update!

OMG those cranes ar amazing, mutch better. these docks are going to be sick looking.
Thank you @madmax6220 🙏. I am so much happier with how they look now. They will be even better once I get them all finished.
The cranes add so much to the aesthetic. Well done!
