I help women over 40 lose weight, in a healthy and sustainable manner. I focus on proper nutrition, working out YOUR calorie needs, and your correct macros. I also talk about strength/weight training and cardio - such as running, walking, biking, swimming, dancing or whatever you enjoy!
I believe that weight loss should be enjoyable and healthy - no crash diets, no long periods without food and no cutting out of whole macro groups. Let's do this for LIFE. A healthy body, of course, requires a healthy mind (and vice versa) so I also touch on mental health, meditation and deep breathing for de-stressing.
Big TH-camrs' whose approaches are very similar to my own would include Cori Lefkowith, Jeremy Ethier, Dr. Mike Israetel and Paul Revelia, to name a few.
I LOVE hearing from you ladies, so please feel free to share anything that's on your mind with me or ask me a question or offer me feedback. Leave me a comment, find me on Insta, or email me at louisecorrans.yt@gmail.com.

Evidently you never watched an actual video of a person cutting their hair this way.... They do use at least 3 or 4 elastic bands and maybe a comb to part the hair in the back of your head.
Hola,Dtb,esa, no es la tijera de corte, esa tijera,es muy grande, y es de cortar tela.
Thank you❤
You make amazing videos. But not many viewers are watching. Because there is no good Thumbnail, title, or SEO, that is why the videos are not reaching the viewers. If you want, I can free you from this problem.
I find this also works well in the air fryer
Yes that would be amazing!
Now, just to clarify...I am NOT against fat...we do need some...BUT if you are trying to cut down calories then it makes sense to cook in a way that doesn't require a lot of oil. And this DOES have the egg yolk fat and the spray oil on the baking tray. If you're doing Keto then this cooking method might NOT be right for you. ❤
Thank you for all your tipps and keeping us (me) motivated.. 🙂
@@GenX_in_the_wild I truly hope I can continue to keep you motivated!

I need to let you know that I started Mounjaro 1 week ago and my life will never be the same. My life long food addiction disappeared within hours and now I struggle to hit my calories for the day. I never think about food anymore and it used to be an obsession, even in my sleep. I’ve tried everything and this is like a miracle
@rachelbrondel5858 Oh wow that's wonderful to hear that it's helping you. I have watched many personal stories here on TH-cam and for those who struggle with "food noise" (always thinking about food and craving food) it really seems to help. Let me know how it goes.😊 Thank you for sharing that with us here.
A dear friend of mine had the same experience. It was life changing for her. She is a healthy weight for the first time in her life. Her health issues have disappeared too. Good luck on your journey 🩷
@ thank you for your kind comment. For the first time in 47 years I have hope and I don’t feel depressed everyday fighting my binge urges
@rachelbrondel5858 that really sounds amazing for you! I'm so happy for you! I honestly wish I didn't have good cravings too! Do you feel any negative side effects? Or not? 😊
@ zero side effects except I feel like a totally different person. I don’t even think about food or diets. I’ve gone from completely obsessed to not interested in food. I cannot eat any sweets or desserts when before I was white knuckling through cravings every day. I would never have believed this was possible. Is this how some people feel naturally?
Yup. Calories are king. The first three bites of anything is the best. It's surprising how quickly one gets used to eating less
@annawitter5161 Very true...the first three bites ARE the best. I find it easier to eat less when I'm busy, when I'm home and not doing much...ooh I get the munchies!
@Corrans me too. Cracker, cheese, peanut butter,....so on
Great tips! Thanks. We always need reminders. Very balanced points.
@@happyoldlady1 SO happy you enjoyed it!
The figuring out how to stay in a calorie deficit while simultaneously eating my goal weight in grams of CLEAN protein game has been life changing for me. The pounds are melting off. I used to work out for HOURS and stayed obese because I wasn't properly measuring and counting anything..... You really cannot create enough of a calorie deficit from exercise alone, especially if you are already obese and cannot go to extremes like running ultra marathons. You really do not have room to guestimate anything. It's really simple with modern technology to know your TDEE and eat in a deficit. All you need is a food scale some measuring tools, and a good calorie counting app. I only mention the protein because it helps keep me full and protein is what your body uses to create new cells, so it's important to prioritize it if you want to improve your overall appearance. Weight loss 100% happens in the KITCHEN, not the Gym. The gym is for building and sculpting.
@@Personinspace 💯💯💯
Thank you Louise! You give excellent practical advice!
It's my pleasure, I am really glad to hear you find it practical and useful. Xxxx
Thank you very much Louise! I always wondered how to work out my calorie deficit and now I know!
I missed the live ❤yes I try to concentrate on fibre just as much as protein now. I know my 10 year old - she’s fussy too. Kids eh? lol 😂. I love berries but they can go off in a couple of days so I buy more frozen fruit. I think walking up stairs is one of the hardest things lol 😂. Apparently it’s because you’re working against gravity. You’re forcing your body to lift upwards so can tire out easily. It sounds daft but I always wondered why it always seemed harder than other exercises lol 😂 I love beetroot. So good 😊 Thanks for sharing ❤xxxx
@@clairesingleton7399 Thanks for that insight about walking up stairs...that's a very good point! Same with going uphill! Frozen berries are fantastic!
0:13 sounds like Mafia talk, lol. I think the distinction should be made that a kcal deficit does need to come from only food. Eating too low in kcal could rob your body of vital nutrients. So eat for nutrition sake ( without overeating of course ) and try create the deficit with more movement. The Twinkie Prof lost a load of weight, but you would not want to take his approach.

18 years ago since when I was 21, I used to have like a brassy orange ginger colour on my hair, but it was highlighted. I was thinking of going to have a yellowish creamy colour, but because my hair was black, it wouldn't go any further. I instead want for like a medium brownish chestnut colour, and I was really happy impressed and I loved it.❤
That's awesome
Hi Louise, I’m trying to make protein oats by mixing in egg whites as I cook the oats to bump up my protein without the added fat but I’m unsure how to do this without scrambling them. Do you have any tips? Like you, I did the whole keto thing and my panels are awful and I’m trying to balance things out.
Hi, here's what I do (although they do scramble somewhat): I cook the oats, let them cool a little whilst I'm doing other things, then pour in the egg whites, stir them before turning on the heat, and then heat up very very slowly, stirring all the while. I think one cannot avoid some degree of scrambling, but it's very well mixed at this point. I hope that helps?
Hello Louise you got me to counting calories and I love it! It’s really the only way to realize how much we eat in a day and make good choices. THANK YOU!
Oh wow, that's awesome, I am glad you are enjoying the counting and not finding it burdensome. It's really the best way to know for sure.😊
Wonderfully reminded, so easy to get side-tracked and doubt what has already been tried and tested. Thank you Louise❤
If you need MOTIVATION to start and keep going with your weight-loss and health goals, here is the perfect playlist: th-cam.com/video/DXALn8-B1Hg/w-d-xo.html
It really is just that simple. Calories in, calories out!!!
Indeed. I suppose there are a few medical exceptions...and people on certain medications but for the vast majority of us, yes, it's that simple.
Words of wisdom!!
Lowkey I don't really know because calories in calories out is very simple but I do think that it is more complicated than that. Think about it different foods affect your thyroid which controls your metabolism. if your metabolism is higher you will burn more calories. Also you have to take satiation into account. "Healthier" foods are more nutrient dense and our bodies tend to rummage to get the nutrients we need so eating a pound of ground beef will fill you much more than a pound of kfc chicken or whatever. So in turn you will be hungrier and end up eating more food which results in more calories after eating the kfc. Also I was at 207 pounds and I tracked my calories for a couple months. My maintience was 2900-3000 as calculated by chronometer. So I ate about 2600-2700 calories a day to stay in a deficit. But what I found was that I was losing much more weight than I should've been. They say 3500 calories is a pound of fat if that's true than Calories in calories out cannot be fully true. Because I was losing 2 pounds a week and I was certainly not eating a deficit of 1000 calories a day. And I was not overtraining. I was going to the gym 5 days a week and getting between 10-12 thousand steps a day which is moderately active. I was also eating entirely clean. 0 cheat meals. I am pretty disciplined and I wouldn't eat breakfast which would make me hungry but I liked the feeling of hunger a bit. So I don't believe calories in calories out. Also its stupid to assume that the regular person can routinely starve themselves and never binge eat. Especially when eating unhealthy foods all the time. This is why the foods you eat are more important. I am now 183 pounds and having lost about 25 lbs in 4 months I eat as much as I want right now. However I only eat clean food. I eat anywhere from 3300-3600 sometimes even 3800-4000 calories in a given day. I haven't calculated my maintaince but I don't care because I know it doesn't matter. My body regulates it. If I need to eat more I get hungry if my body doesn't need any more food then I don't feel like eating. I now also intermittent fast for 16 hours of no eating than about 8 hours of eating. Honestly I don't even do that on purpose that's just how Ive found I like to eat. I eat 3 meals a day and I do not snack ever. Focus more on the foods you eat and being active by going to the gym and walking. your body will manage the rest by either making you hungry or being satisfied. Also another thing to consider muscle burns more calories than fat. So building muscle can also be a game changer you only need 5 days a week. If you want to take one thing from this yap session if you even read this far its that focus on the foods you eat.
@loganjacobsen472 I agree with many points you made...its not simple...many factors influence the in/out of the calories. But those factors still line up with the way to lose weight...expend more energy than you take in. Expending it can be many things...like thermic effect of food, good sleep, happy hormones, moving more in general...the healthier you are/the healthier your food choices, the better overall for weight management, I'd say?
@@Corrans absolutely agree I just think the emphasis should be put on quality of food not calories. I don’t think it’s possible to gain fat if you eat an evolutionarily consist diet and exercise moderately. You would have to stuff yourself a lot which really isnt enjoyable so most people wont do that. Also just eating cleaner foods is very manageable because you can just fin; the foods you like. It’s not restrictive really at all like some diets and will lead to much better longevity which is what matters. Consistency is what brings about long term health.
@loganjacobsen472 indeed💯

Yep it’s always been calories in calories out but that’s not what people want to hear. They want to hear an easy way. They want a magical answer telling them they can eat whatever they want while sitting on the couch and still lose weight. There is no magical thing. Even with the weight loss drugs it’s still calories in calories out. They make you eat less calories. Period. I love that you pulled all of this together and tell the truth. 🩷
@lalablotz7348 Yes, good point...Ozempic etc simply suppress appetite so you take in far fewer calories...it still means calories in/out. I do understand why people get confused...its very confusing to navigate misinformation on social media.🩵💙🤎
There are no fat people in countries where people are going short. Go figure. If we are too fat it is because we eat too much. And each individual is different, we cant say a general umbrella number of calories for all .
@@annawitter5161 Absolutely! That's why it's so important to work out our own personal calorie needs.🤗🤗🤗
Good one - the message is crystal clear: caloric deficit is the only way to achieve weightloss!
