I Broke My Ankle In The Mountains
The accident happened a year and half ago.
I am back walking/hiking but still in pain. I have good days and bad days. I am grateful to be back on my feet and able to enjoy the great outdoors.
I want to take the opportunity to thank the amazing Mountain Rescue and Ambulance/ Hospital staff for being so wonderful, supportive, funny and professional. I had been thinking of supporting the Mountain Rescue for a long time but never really got around it. Needless to say I am doing it now and I hope that my monthly donation will help other people in need.
Stay safe and enjoy the mountains :)

I took this video a year ago. I had no idea that I will be waking up to snow. It was such an amazing feeling. Enjoy! Music from Epidemic Sound.
Birthday In The Mountains
มุมมอง 109ปีที่แล้ว
I filmed this video in April when I had my birthday. It was amazing to hike in the Lake District. pitch my tent before dark and enjoy my birthday meal. I made traditional Estonian birthday food.. potato salad and a biscuit cake. It all did not go as smoothly as it looks. Whilst I was enjoying looking around at the summit, a slug decided to nibble on my potatoes. Also, when I made the cake it st...
Looking for snow. Did I find Any?
มุมมอง 113ปีที่แล้ว
This was an exciting hike. Not everything went to plan. I planned to camp on Blea Rigg. I started my hike from Grasmere, went past Easdale Tarn (that was in snow a week ago) and when I got to Blea Rigg I saw Pavey Arch in the distance. It was too early to pitch my tent so I deiced to hike towards Pavey Arch because I know that Stickle Tarn was there! Last time I camped at Stickle Tarn was two y...
My Last Camp of 2022
มุมมอง 139ปีที่แล้ว
For my last camp I decided to go on a "small mountain with great views". Loughrigg Fell never disappoints. I climbed up on different route this time and it was a lot more enjoyable. Previously I turned right from the Rydal caves but this time I turned left. It was good to see fellow campers up on the mountain. So, if I see you I will come and say Hello :) Thank you all for coming on my adventur...

Low Fell and Fellbarrow

Had a very windy day in the lakes but I managed to find a nice sheltered spot not far from Low Fell for my wild camping. And the Cumberland sausage was beautiful :D Music from Epidemic Sound.
A Three Day Hike In The Mountains
มุมมอง 1012 ปีที่แล้ว
A very pleasant three day hike on the quieter fells in Lakeland. Alfred Wainwright is a really popular writer, artist and hiker. He wrote a seven-volume Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells (1955-66). These books are loved by visitors and explorers of Lakeland alike. In his honour we call the the 214 English peaks in his book "Wainwrights. It is a very popular challenge for a hiker to "Bag" al...

Many thanks for that. There were some places I didn't know about
Hope you get well soon. Best Greetings from Poland
Wow... get well soon .. great video though 🙂

Thank you. I like this vid too but unfortunately I haven't got many bloopers.
nice video just subscibed
Awesome thank you!
Great to see you back Linda, fingers crossed you have more good days and no bad ones🤞🤞
Thanks Anthony. Doesn't look promising at the moment but fingers crossed :)
Hi. That was a bad end to the hike. Great to back out in the fells 👍🙂
Yep. I am lucky to be able to hike again. Taking it slowly though and hopefully one day I will be back on full speed :)
Oh you are from Norway! My sister lives there so I visit Norway often. Such a lovely country :)
Well Hi Linda, and I’m pleased you’ve recovered now and looking forward to your videos. Thank you for keeping us posted. Kind regards 🙏😊❤️
Thank you :)
Linda, what a sadness but glad you are on the mend, stay well and get strong. You brighten up all our lives with your creativity. Harry
Thank you :)
I did these two in the summer and did not find them as bad as I was expecting but would not fancy it in the winter or after heavy rain. I also did the Dodd's as well last summer, such a shame that your ankle came in the way of you doing them too. Midges apart, it was so sad seeing you enjoy your camp so much and not knowing what was around the corner. You took the steep way down from Raven Crag and there is a much safer and more scenic route down but you can have an accident anywhere, just pleased to hear you were looked after by the fantastic Mountain Rescue - such amazing people. Good to see you back on TH-cam and even better to find out you are back in the Fells. Take care, cheers Alan
Yep, accidents can happen anywhere.. even in your back garden. I feel exactly the same when I look at this video that I was so excited and happy not knowing what was around the corner. But I am alive and that is what counts. Thanks for watching Alan. Hello to Linda :)
Great to have you back Linda.
@@stevec8064 thank you!
Linda nice to see you back
@@charlieoscar09 thank you 😀
It’ll be great to have you back. I lost 8 weeks when I broke my little toe. I stubbed it on a box in my front room🙃Hope you filtered that stream water. Anyhow looking forward to your next adventures. Take care.
@unclepeteswildadventures thank you. I did filter that water yes :) I will be careful in winter... it is still a challenge for me mentally. It's easy to go up but coming down is challenging.
Can anyone tell me where this is
Anglesey, Wales, UK.
That's a lovely video Treklinda, thanks for sharing, looks beautiful and super cold also, we've subscribed :) look forward to seeing more of your vids in the future 👍
Thank you. Will check out your channel :)
Hi Linda, no idea how I missed this one! Beautiful winter camp, hope you are well. Atb Anthony👍👍
A really nice edit of how a winter camp ⛺️ can be Linda (the simple things done right ) help to keep the winter out of the tent 👍 Enjoyed hope your doing ok after your injuries 🙏🏼 Best regards Simon 🤠👍
What a fantastic place to camp 😍It looks like a very nice experience 🙌
Very beautiful in the snow 😊 a great location to wake up in

The delicate music 🎶 and soft glow of your tent amidst snow really makes this feel magical ❄️
Thank you. I love that music too.. so delicate. I am glad I was able to experience camping in the snow as after braking my ankle I am not sure when I dare to do it again :) Thank you for watching :)
Hi Linda I hope all is well as not seen anything from you for ages and I see this is from last year. Anyway I enjoyed it and nice to see you. Kind regards ❤
I am still recovering from my ankle fracture.. hoping to get out in april/may.. still in pain.. so won't do big mountains.. I just want to get out and sleep in the tent :) Thanks for watching.

Wow. Great to have you back. Recommend Katoolah micro spikes. All the best Linda.
Thank you. I actually have got spikes but that day I didn't know it is going to snow. I brought the spikes with me the week after but there was no snow then :) Thank you for watching :)
@@treklinda1309 I know the feeling😂Glad you are in the mend. Atb
Nice video! The entire Langdale area is breath-taking. I really liked the time lapse sections - really magical. Will be watching more of your content when I get the time. Cheers!
Thanks for watching. The time lapse and the music went well together :)
So cool place
Great video in a wonderful area. Some great shots there
I spent a lot of summers of my Childhood in prestatyn during the 90s. Made a lot of friends. Once we walked up to that antena on the hill. I suppose its changed a lot since then but i have a lot of good memories.
Hello from Russia, this place looks really cool, i must visit when i see the UK.
We have a vilage called the same name Anglsey in the Atlas Mountains near Marrakech the south of Morocco . the story says that the Romans brought soldiers from Anglsey in Wales to break a revolte of some berber tribes against them . Maybe welsh soldiers stayied in the area and gave the name to the vilage Anglsey .
How’s your foot Linda? Getting better I hope. 😊
Yes thank you. I am walking now and having physio. My foot is still stiff and painful but at least I can walk.
I've been coming here for decades - it's a truly magic area of the island, sea ,sky and legend😊
Very pretty 🤩
I am definitely trying your potato salad recipe; it looks delicious! 😍
It is good. It is a must have in an Estonian birthday party.. when we get an invite our first thought is.. mmmm.. potato salad 😂😂😂
Loved watching this. I did Cumbria Way last year so it brought back lovely memories. I’m scared of cows also but the CW cows were pretty friendly 😂
I'm from amlwch port. You made my back garden look amazing lol it's a magical lace for sure

@@treklinda1309 ps. When building back up I did Yorkshire waterfalls. Short walks but spectacular . Aysgarth, Hardraw, Stainforth etc. 🙂
