I would say that's a good start to a bright future
Dude, thanks for watching. I think you are correct. Next time out 3 more silvers. Time after that 1 silver. Both of the last two hunts mentioned where locations I had been at 20x times and 3x times.
Makes me want to but a detector. They seem to drive happiness
I recommend it. The hobby that pays itself back.
The manticore will take some time to learn. Got mine in May and have really gotten confident with it in last couple of months. My hints would be use the same audio set-up in whatever program you use, just because it's not round on the trace doesn't mean it's not a coin ( maybe masked) , the vdi isn't super accurate all the time and if it you're working a really trashy area try the fast program and set the recovery speed to 6. It's an great machine once you learn it and good luck. Way to go on the silver... Took me two weeks to find my first silver with it. 84-86 silver dime, 91-92 silver quarter 94-95 silver half. The numbers aren't always right you will dig silver lower and higher than that.
@stephencurry599, Appreciate it, I’ll try those out. I think I’m making slow but steady progress.

TEAM MANTICORE!!!! Nice hunt!!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by. Glad to become part of the team.
Carrying a shovel around a park or school might get you worse than kicked out if you get confronted by a cop or park ranger. Never ever carry a shovel if you're detecting a park or school. I suggest carrying an old fashion brass coin probe as your primary tool, with a trowel as a back up for deeper or larger targets tucked away in your bag. th-cam.com/video/pTdD0Gdrmx4/w-d-xo.html
Robert, thanks for the information. Allowed digging tools vary in my area by location. If I am at a State Park a probe and lesche are the allowed tools. At most of our schools and local parks digging tools are allowed so long as you leave the grounds like you found it. There are other parks in my area not more than 10 miles away that do not allow metal detecting at all. My rule of thumb is to follow the rules, treat the area like it was your yard and you get invited back I really appreciate you stopping by and commenting. Please come back and feel free to comment on every video. I will give your linked video a watch.
I love the canon that's so cool congratulations.
That was an unexpected last find for the day. Thanks for joining in on the hunt.
Is that you in the costume? I thought you were older, didn't think you had the moves.
No, that is not me in the t-rex outfit. And yes I have no moves like that dino.
You can lead a dino to dirt, but can you make it detect metal?
No, arms are too short.
nice finds.had 12 inches of snow up here the other day.keep diggin!
Thanks! I'm still digging even with the colder weather. We did get snow twice, but it was minimal and is all melted. I may try to get out for a couple hours of detecting after work.
Congrats on the Key. Love it. Take Care Crazie Digging
@@craziedigging4590 thanks for stopping by
Exciting silver finds!
@@diannareed5499 thanks for watching and taking time to comment. Stay tuned more silver is coming
Location location location and I don’t know about where you are but the fresh new finds are drying up and only old drops mostly left because everybody here 95% use card and or phones to pay so don’t carry cash to drop
@@coinkiller5495 same here, cash and coin use is a thing of the past. My area was part of our lumber era. I knock on neighbors doors and ask to metal detecting the yard. Having a TH-cam channel showing what I am asking helps get a yes from them.
Top video nice silver
@@coinkiller5495 thank you
The more you use the Manticore, the more you’ll love it.
@@MarktheSenileDetectorist I believe you. Pulled some more silver on my next few hunts.
Good luck with it
@@michaelzsizseri8015 thanks. I have found 5 silver coins with it to date. First time out with it video will be out at 6 pm tonight
Little late for halloween - is this some sort of Chistmas dino? You should wear it for all your videos from now on
It is a Christmas dino. I plan on wearing it with a Santa hat this year.
Like and Comment. T-rex want to go viral. :)
Nice dig you were really keeeeennnn
As you can tell I like keys.
@ they sound nice on the Nox I find lots hunting old schools
I got a car and truck collection lol
LOL. I have a "collection" lot and "used" car lot. The used car lot is out on my finds table. The keeper lot is a container I store the decent ones in. I have 4 really good ones on my desk. Once my grandson see them they will be his.
Congrats on the toy truck there. Very cool find. Take Care Crazie Digging
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for posting this video.
@@terrirogers6965 thanks for coming by. Probably going to put out a few more as I learn new features. The snow on the ground may impede my treasure hunting.
Good video, thanks for sharing documentation of the Manticore tones! Question for you though: Are yall filming those 3rd person shots with the same camera they use to take pictures of bigfoot?
@PaulTheClaw714 thanks for watching and commenting. Not sure about the Bigfoot camera. It is a GoPro. Shot may be grainy because I zoomed it in to far. Still working on the third person shots.
Another installment of manticore informational videos. If you find it useful or have a request for a topic leave it in the comments. Thanks PA Treasure Hunters.
Lead bullet made into game piece
Could be. Interesting possibility. I have heard of old lead bullets made into poker chips during the civil war. I don’t think what I found was nearly that old.
First...
Yes you were.
That is the way to think when I go to the gold fields people think because it’s bush that you don’t need to fill holes some people give our hobby a bad name by messing the place even when I dig in dirt and leaves I cover ground like I wasn’t there
Gold fields? All we have are corn fields.
@ my hole country is a big gold field but just more in some places than others even the parks have high mineralised ground and give you fake targets and can drive you pinpointer crazy you can see it in lots of my videos and I have to ground balance the pointer
Hi great hunt I see you use a rag like me lots of times on lawns but sometimes I forget to take it with me but easy way to put dirt in the hole and keep area clean
Using the rag gets me invited back to someones property or properties. I like to leave it like it was when I came. When the home owner sees you treating their property with respect, the will let you come back and may help get you another permission.
It takes many many hrs to eek out any silvers at parks,,but older homesites I would say are 98% better for those silvers an good coppers, and that's been my experience,,,but gold the parks have that edge, though I've only found gold on permissions not parks.
Mark, I’m with you on that, it’s hard to beat the old home sites for silver coins! I have only found a couple of silver rings at parks. I am still looking for gold anywhere.
Great clean up good luck
Thanks for watching!
Looks like you found old stuff at the house and changes at the park. Which one was better?
Great observation! Both spots had their own unique rewards-finding old stuff at the house was exciting for the history and stories behind the items, while the park delivered plenty of coins for coffee. It’s tough to choose, but I’d say the house wins for historical value, and the park wins for quantity!

I like home permissions over parks, but if you're after clad and lost Jewlery a well-attended park can give a person a good day of digging. Mixing it up is best just so many options and with good research you will come across some memorable spots. Happy Hunting
I agree, mixing it up is the best way to go and get the best finds. In my next hunt you will see a couple of silver coins. Never found anything like that in a park.
@@patreasurehunters - I'm 100% parks. I'm a land shark lol. I've never door knocked because I figure people wouldn't let me detecting their yards. When I was living in New Mexico my favorite place to detect was Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta park where they launch the hot air balloons. I've lots of gold and silver jewelry and silver coins and lots of foriegn coins too because people fly in from all over the world to watch them launch. I moved to ohio and live in a town that was founded in the late 1800s and a couple of the parks around me have been here since 1918. I've found lots of old silver coins in them. I've found 2 silver dollars, 3 walker halfs, about 5 mercury dimes, and a lot of pre 64 silver coins. As far as jewelry goes I've found silver bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings. In the 6 years I've been detecting I've found 437 rings. 68 of them are silver and 14 of them are gold. On Friday the 13th of this year I found my best ring and didn't even know it was real. It looked like stainless steel to me and what I thought was fake diamonds. I looked at the ring under with a loop and could see a very thing line that looked like gold. I took it in to a jewelry store and they told me it was 100% real. I ended up having it appraised and it was 14k white gold and has 30 real diamonds on it. It was a art deco ring that was probably lost in the 1920s or 1930s. It's a good thing that even though it wasn't marked I had a feeling it was real. It appraised at $3100. Like I said just look for older parks 😉
@FrancisNiskey Thank you very much for responding. Sounds like you are doing well. You will be surprised how many people will let you detect in their yard if you ask and show them some of your finds on your phone. I am at about 90% yes to 10% no. I haven't been metal detecting long, so I am still in my local neighborhood. Area are founded in the lumber boom. My oldest coin is 1800 half penny. Oldest silver is an 1894 O Barber. I am sure this is still stuff out there to be found. Metal detecting is all about opportunity and luck. Opportunity to metal detect an area and luck of swinging over the target. Film some of your hunts, I would like to see what you find in the future. I am your first (#1) subscriber.
@@patreasurehunters Looks like youve picked up some good finds too. I'd love to record some of my hunts and post them but I have no idea how to do it. Maybe I can find a video on how to post videos lol. I'm a cheapee so I'd hope I can do it with my cell phone and keep a eye out at the thrift stores for a gopro. I'll keep you posted if I can figure it out. I think I may be your neighbor also. I live in Lakewood Ohio right now. It's a really old town with lots of history and is also part of Cleveland. I'll give the door knock thing a try and keep my phone handy because I have all my finds on it. That's a good idea also to show them some of my finds. I will give it a shot. Keep on swinging 🙂
Awesome video those quarters just keep on coming. Nice find on that locket.⚖️💍☕️🙏
Thanks for watching. Between Bob and I, we must have pulled $25 dollars in quarters from inside the fenced in section across all our hunting there.
I don't think that's a margarita glass. More like quartini, shaken, not stirred. Or should I say zincoln, not clad
😂 i never heard of a martiniville, have heard of margaritaville
Awesome finds!!!subscribed!
@@DrWhittle thank you. Much appreciated.
A manticore like the mythical creature, lion with the head of a man? I think I'll stick with my nox just for safety!
I’m pretty sure the mythical version is a lot more dangerous! Thanks for stopping by.

Which penny is your favorite to find?
Anything from the 1800's. I would really like to get something from the late 1700's when the country was first creating coinage.
Penny for your thoughts 🧐
Thanks for stopping by and tagging along.
Thanks for doing these videos for the manticore. I just purchased a manticore and my ground is frozen here already. This way I can get an idea of how things ring up before I go out detecting in the spring.
Glad this video is helping you get ready. You will be ready for a hunt after the thaw.
The truck and bug are nice additions to your car lot. 😀
@@GeorgeKaplan59 Thanks for coming along on the hunt. Appreciate you taking the time to comment.
That was a great hunt! The Pickup truck and VW hot-wheels were an awesome find. The key was cool too, I like finding keys! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed the video and the finds. Thanks for watching and especially for taking time to comment! Keys and Cars are cool. Would much rather dig them than a penny any day.
Thank you. All I've done was beach hunting so far. Field 2. 50. Tones, that helped me out a bit. Thank you. I just receive permission to metal. Detect a field that's never been metal detected, and it's got trees on at over 300 years old. It's about twenty five thirty acres of land I can only metal detect this time of year because they grow wheat in this field.⚖️💍
Michael, good luck on your hunt! With such a large area to cover, start with your iron on (horseshoe buttons). Finding an iron patch can lead to an area with human activity, narrowing down the needle in a haystack.
Second try at an informational video. Don't be shy, let me know what you think. Good or bad.
You found lots of Coffee money. Always great to get out and find some coins. All the best John,
Thanks, John. Coffee money from the ground is the best kind of money.
You did a great job; I use a Legend, so numbers are totally different. The different filming views are beneficial too.
Thank you very much for the feedback. That was my first try at first and third person vantage points. I expect you will start seeing it more frequently.
