Just go whole room colour, "feature walls" unless you really know what youre doing designwise, they have a tendancy to look really meh. Doing the whole room feels actually cosy, or go half-wall on all walls.

Are you sure that paint is oil based as it looks water based to me. Oil based paints usually take a lot longer to dry. I could be wrong but just thought I would mention as I know you wanted oil based for its durability. It shouldn't matter too much however as satinwood finish is fairly durable anyway. Great video
