Hey, we agree that the food we ate on this trip wasn’t rhetorical healthiest. However, we must mention that we have a very strict food dietary requirements and can only eat specific meat and chicken! Hence, we eat vegetarian things. When it’s hard to find places that meet your specific cooking needs, it’s hard to eat out and so we go for margarita pizza usually. Which isn’t healthy but it’s something to keep us going.

Hello, Did you buy the Swiss travel pass using the link we provided? If so you don’t have to worry, it should be all fine as we have had a couple of people buying using our link and it’s been fine for them. Regarding seat reservations, we have never reserved any seat apart from the Belle Epoque and Golden pass train. You should be fine. The only train we were unable to sit despite having a first class train pass was the Grindelwald one because it’s the most busiest trains journey. There were many like us in the same position. If you want to be extra sure then yes you could reserve seats by going to an office but speaking from experience we have never done it and been fine. Enjoy your trip 🥰

Hello, Thank you for lovely words. ☺️ Ahh that sounds amazing, I should however mentioned that Swiss Travel pass is free for under 18’s as long as they are travelling with adults who have a Swiss travel pass. I wouldn’t recommend buying a Swiss travel pass if you are going to be driving, maybe a half fare card so you get 50% off attractions and tickets? It’s a tough question, personally if I was renting a car and that can be expensive in Switzerland, I wouldn’t then get a Swiss travel pass. Thank you for your lovely comments. You can absolutely make Zurich your main stay because Zurich has great transport links. We’ll all of Switzerland has great transport links but an advantage with Zurich is it’s location and how close it is to Lucerne and Interlaken. Geneva is good too but it’s a bit far, if you want to explore Montreux and Geneva then it’s a good location to stay. ☺️ Either way be prepared for early morning wake up calls as you will need to be getting a train earlier in the morning to make most of your Swiss travel pass.

Hello, Thank you for your lovely comment. One of the main reasons we chose Vienna as a base is because of affordability and also good transport connections. We were very surprised with how much it had to offer. There are so many free things to do in Austria. Watch our video on it and you will get lots of ideas. We recommend visiting Budapest in Hungary or Prague in Czech if you have time. You can get direct trains here ☺️

@@TandAJAdventures - Our typical trip is 3 weeks duration and Switzerland was a MUST do this year. Since 3 weeks was too long for Swiss, combining Austria and Swiss. Arriving into Austria and leaving out of Zurich. Did think about Prague, Budapest etc being close to Vienna. That will be for the next one when we get a good flight deal. After being in US for so long love Europe and want to buy a condo in Spain / affordable place so can use it as a base and travel Europe rather than flying every time. Thanks again for your videos and they are very helpful for planning.

Hello, You do not need to reserve any seats. You can just get on to the trains. The only place they recommend you reserve seats is the Belle Epoque and Grand Train tour. Again it’s not necessary, it’s just these trains tend to be busy and in order to avoid disappointment it’s recommended to reserve seats either online or from Montreux station. We didn’t reserve any seats. In terms of first class versus second class, there is really not much difference. The only difference with a first class will be you get to sit in first class carriage. For the golden pass express, we didn’t pre book our tickets but the train was super busy. We were lucky to get seats. I would recommend reserving seats if you are going in busy period. It’s not necessary though ☺️
