This is one of my favs from the Wacken performance. As someone else mentioned, the song "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" from Buenos Aries is a fantastic performance. Since you're trying out symphonic metal, listen to the band Epica. They are a harder sound with a singer on par with Floor, Simone Simons. Try the performance of Consign to Oblivion live from the Zenith for one of their harder songs. They also performed with a full orchestra and choir at the 10th Anniversary Retrospect show. A good one from that show would be Chasing the Dragon.

Glad you got to this one and thanks for the shout out. This one is special because it is the first performance after a 2 years hiatus, with their new bass player, Fami. You can see the singer, Asami, smiling up at Fami in the middle of her solo. This was Fami's first performance ever in this big of a venue. She was primarily a TH-cam performer until she joined Lovebites. The whole band looks so happy to be up there. It's a real change from their last performances.

"The right ones" - The good thing is... there are no "wrong songs" by LOVEBITES! Never had that before, but whatever my least favorite song is (and I know them all), that one is still a very good song. There are no fillers, no weak songs, no mediocre songs. Some of them are even better, for sure. For some of them, you'll hear "masterpiece" as comment. We don't know, what they've thrown away during production, but whatever they've released was gold. And later the live versions were even better. You can't go wrong, they will not disappoint!

Thanks for more LOVEBITES! This was the first song of their first performance following a two-year hiatus wherein their founder, leader, significant composer/lyricist & bassist Miho withdrew; guitarist/pianist/composer Miyako & vocalist/composer/lyricist Asami both got married & gave birth; and Fami was recruited as new "5th Element" bassist. They typically present a demeanor suited to the subject of the song, but in this case their JOY & enthusiasm for performing LIVE is revealed with their smiles (in spite of the serious lyrical subject). This is young bassist Fami's first ever performance with a large audience that she could see enjoying her in a LIVE setting, revealing an amazing level of confidence, professionalism & ability on her instrument & developing a rapport with fans. She was 20 at the time & had primarily performed 'cover' songs with backing-tracks on her own TH-cam channel which had gathered over 650,000 subscribers(!) Other members are early 30s. Fami is now 22 and has proven her ability with LOVEBITES' World Tour this year, with 10 'club' & 6 'festival' performances across Europe, UK, Korea, United States & their largest music venue to date in Japan that was live-streamed to the world. Tarja + Marko = Best. Version. Ever.

Tarja is finnish, so her accent here is finnish, she sings with that accent in every song because it's her accent. This version is Andrew Lloyd Webber's favorite version of Phantom Of The Opera. In my opinion, it's Marko, the bass player, who took this song to the next level.

Any Nightwish performance is good. There are ten albums worth of songs, plus some covers. Many have been sung by more then 1 singer. So I guess you are going to be a busy, busy man... 🤣🤣

Great reaction Sir!! When Marko and Tarja combine their amazing vocals, pure magic happens!!! They just finished a tour together and are enjoying working together again. Marko recently did a song ft. Tarja called "Left on Mars", would love to see you react to that one.

Both Floor and Tarja are wonderful in this song, but, for me, it is Marko (the bass player) who makes this version special. His gritty, grimy characterization adds just that touch of sinister that I think every good Phantom needs.

As I'm sure you are already aware every song at this concert was written for one of the previous singers. Depending on their limitations neither could have sung every song. This was originally performed by the operatic Tarja Turunen but with a reduced glissando at the end.

Greeting from Canada. Rockabilly hmm. I have heard of the style. I suspect you may like this Finnish band who play metal songs with a definate "Finnish hillbilly country style". Emppu is never shredding - he always plays what serves the music and the band as a whole.

Please go on with the opener of this concert: Dark chest of wonders. There are no bad songs from Nightwish 😂 Hope you're going the long road. Everytime something new to explore.

There Marco really shines with his marvellous voice and Emppu´s guitar too, the whole band with Marco as leader. I´m sure you would like it. Thank you for your reacting and comments. I know you said that you were going to continue with this concert. However, if you want to see Emppu, the guitarist, do a couple of great solos, I would suggest that you take a bit of a side trip and watch Nightwish pay tribute to Pink Floyd's "High Hopes" from the 2005 End of an Era DVD. Emppu is a master who knows how to provide music that fits the song. He can shred when the music calls for it, but his artistry goes far beyond that. Plus, you will get a chance to see just how great a voice the bassist, Marko, has, and for that matter, how skilled Jukka, on drums, and Tuomas, on keyboard, both are.

Thank you, well done. Nightwish "Devil and Deep Dark Ocean" -Buenos Aires live, there is something to react. You bring up your band and rockabilly. In Finland Rockabilly was very popular same time with Punk music late -70's and early -80's. I was teen that time so I was lucky one 🙂.

I think this particular compilation might be the very first Babymetal video I watched. It was enough to get me to click on another (Moabanger as it turned out) and I was hooked. An incredible song. I love it to bits.

It's still a surprise that such a tiny human being, Yukina is 4'10", can make such a big growl.
