Wait did you say one doesn’t have to be an RN to become a Aesthetic Nurse?
I remember I used to want to become a CRNA but i took the turn to making cardiovascular my specialty and now working on becoming a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist graduation will be May 2025!!! Then off to working on becoming a Cardiothoracic PA. Open heart surgery is the goal!!!
Thank you much this was very informative.
Thank you
Are there foreign nurses who have managed to get into CRNA program?
I would believe so, yes. It comes down to meeting the program requirements for the school of interest.

Can you do a vid on personality traits that you think would be beat suited for the ICU?
Sure!
In 2024, in Michigan at least, theres adn and bsn nurses who make the same. The only difference is that some bsn nurses are still paying student loans and adn nurses have little to no loans plus can get tuition reimbursemnet or tuition fully paid to get their BSN from their job.
There’s tuition reimbursement for BSN, MSN, & DNP as well. Tuition reimbursement is not specific to one degree or specialty. It’s more so dependent on what the institution offers to employees who are choosing to further their education. In regard to pay, your earning potential is higher with a BSN because of the jobs beyond the beside you would qualify for. For example, transitioning into management, CRNA school, & NP school. Student loans have everything to do with the borrower and nothing to do with ADN vs BSN. Thanks for watching the video.
Thank youuu 👏🏾
I didn’t do admission shift during my orientation … I wish I did
Starting in CVICU next week after 9 yrs in CVOR..thanks for your vid..it’s right on time
Congrats! It’s good you already have that exposure to cardiac. Best of luck to you!
Do you mind sharing what’s making u switch to icu ?
Starting in the CTICU soon, coming from L&D. Thank you for this video and all your others!
Congrats and you’re welcome!
Hi , thanks for sharing such very important information. I also want to work in ICU as RN to qualify for CRNA school. I graduate in December 2024 and currently I work part time in medical ICU some times Neuro and trauma ICU as patient care technician. I had also preceptorship in cardiac ICU. I would be so pleased if you provide me the steps to follow to apply for ICU jobs as a new grad RN. If you can, would you also mention the names of hospitals that you recommend for the best ICU experience? I am happy to share my email if that sounds good to you. Thanks again
Hello, congratulations in advance! As far as steps for applying to work in the ICU it is usually the same for most places. You search for a RN position or new grad residency for critical care under the careers tab of the hospital’s website. I recommend teaching hospitals as a new nurse. If you don’t know whether a hospital is a teaching facility then I suggest asking the recruiter or ask during the interview.
@@nursebaebritt thanks for answering my question. But I heard that some hospitals hire new grads and some not for ICU jobs. I would love to know the hospitals that hire new grads for ICU. Thanks again 🙏
That is true some places. I can’t give you an accurate list of all the hospitals that hire new grads in their ICU because not only have I not worked at every hospital but sometimes hiring practices also change. I would suggest doing some research on the hospitals in your area. You could always reach out to a recruiter as well. When in doubt, just apply.

This was a helpful breakdown. I appreciate the walkthrough. Interesting how all advanced healthcare positions are shifting to Doctorate level only.
Soooo freaking proud of yallllll🫡😭
How is it going now? How’s it going now? I see your in CRNA school
Hi, I’m actually not in CRNA school but NP school is still going steady!
It is nice to see all this melanin! This is the encouragement I needed. I hope to be applying to CRNA programs soon!
Best of luck!
How long was your residency
5 months
Yes which school?
Listened to the whole thing! Yall were awesome and genuine ❤
Thank you for this!! Y’all should do another one once they graduate!
Sure thing!
you are very knowledgeable and this is a great intro to CVICU for "new grads" like myself trying to decide the next step as i continue to grow as a nurse.. thank you!!!! 💕💕💕💕
You’re very welcome
I'm sure you're parents are very proud of you. Awesome job, and extremely knowledgeable!
Thank you so much!

@@DevTheDudeRN I was watching a good video with some intelligent individuals. Not my fault TH-cam puts the most retarded comments on the top 😂
I hope it involves only basic maths because I’m really weak at maths😕

Legitimitely such a great conversation to listen in on. #Gold
Thank you! Glad you found it helpful
Exactly like I m facing on now, not right or wrong but which is the best !!! 😢😢😢 even I searched on google I couldn’t find the answer!! Oh my. I don’t know what to do next.
Loved the video and very informative ! I am wondering what are the materials Mario and janey used to study CMC and CSC!
They used study materials from this site www.nicolekupchikconsulting.com/booksAndCourses/certification.cfm
Thank you! My CCRN was done last month but I didn’t want to take CSC and CMC until preparing for the interview Hopefully next spring! Thank you again 🙏
You’re very welcome and good luck!
Very informative video. Most of the time videos like this involve a lot of rambling/editing but you are great at providing a lot of info all in one take. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! You’re very welcome
love seeing the melanin 🥹 applying for my absn this summer!
Congratulations in advance!
Britt thank u for this video. Bless up
I enjoyed this beneficial information ❤❤
I can confirm that I am a former CVI nurse & I hate neuro 😭😂
I never comment on videos. But I greatly appreciate and respect these individuals for graciously sharing their experiences and views. It means a lot and has helped me in my current and future practice. Thank you ❤
You’re very welcome!
I also meant to ask if anyone one of them had to retake any classes. I know they both mentioned it has been awhile since they were in school but I wonder if some of the programs have expirations on certain courses, specially science classes
None of them had to retake any courses due to previous classes being too old. Zhane opted to retake a couple classes because she wanted to boost her GPA and show that she can excel in graduate level work. Mario has two degrees already, one being a MSN, so his path was different.
A few schools I looked at stated if your science courses are more than 10 years old retake them.
This was incredible, thanks so much for this. I’ve been fiddling back and forth with the idea of Crna and the questions you asked were spot on.
Hoping to go to CRNA Am currently in cardiac PCU I started off wrongly but now I know better but am reading and mastering what ever I come across is also a plus for me regardless
Mind if I ask how old both of them are? they’re both so accomplished so I’m just curious 😅
Zhane felt comfortable sharing her age and she is 29.
Thank you! I'm about to stat an ABSN program and am angling to get into critical care. This video was extremely informative since Cardio is one of my interests.
So excited to watch I’m new to CVICU wanting to go the CRNA route
This video will be perfect for you! Let me know if you have any questions
@@nursebaebrittI enjoyed the interview thanks for taking the time out to interview your friends … I love seeing SRNAs that look like me
I’m over here like 😮
What’s the lowest acuity icu based on your experience?
That is hard to say because it honestly depends on what type of patients and diagnoses each ICU treats. That varies from hospital to hospital. However, I would say the highest acuity patients are in CVICUs that have high volume cases, do transplants, and accept every cardiac support device.
Very helpful
😳🥴😩
CRNAs can do pain management and also do blocks and OB outside of the OR
Yes that is true. There are several overlapping roles when it comes to Advanced Practice Providers. However, there are some differences as well. Choosing CRNA or NP is a very individual-specific decision.
Loved your take on this .. there is a guy on here that did NP and is now in a CRNA program
Thank you for your advices! Very valuable! But there are some very unfair treatments and rude behaviors from some instructors like sending you "home" for not completing all of the due homework! We had to stay up late the previous night to complete some assignments e.g. care plans and then to wake up very early the following day to be at the clinical sites. No time to relax at all!! Bear that in mind!
