I have a TK54 with the same problem. The take -up reel just won't pull the tape for playing. FF and RW work fine. I only have one tape and I am beginning to think the tape has become oxidised , lost it's lubrication and just gives too much resistance to moving through the playback area. Have you found a solution to your problem?

Looks nice! You should get track for it. You can get 027 track on ebay for pretty cheap and it runs great on it.

A rare machine the top of the range at the time but the Grundig TK 833 is the rarer machine! well done a hard deck to get working correctly, just finished sorting mine in my grundig radiogram see my videos got a few grundigs.

Great looking radiogram i have the table top version mine's radio is in need of a bit of attention i've got the record deck 100% now , the cabinet is pretty good for 1956 ..Your record deck needs a slight fettle by the looks of it think you may need to replace the cartridge fit a sc12m mine now sounds great your deck needs a little lubrication /or adjustmet but i think you have a great radiogram ...

We had one I used to love watching the magic eye tuning indicator.

Hi We had the exact same one when I was a young boy. It was manufactured in 1958/9 and featured 3D sound! 3D meaning it had 3 spreakers...it was mono and not stereo. If i remember correctly it has 9 watts (RMS) output!

We have the exact same one and we know absolutely nothing about it. if you have any information about the radiogram i would love to know and if it is worth reparing there are a couple of stuck buttons but it stil has power and needs a service. is it worth my while or shall i hollow it out for storage ty for your time. Amanda
