And by letting all this out here, you are leaving it here. We don’t like dishonesty when we get sober because we’ve changed our ways through the program and exactly as you said by growing up!! This person needs to understand that flattery is one thing, but taking PERSONAL, and SENSITIVE, and even sometimes TRAUMATIC stories and trying to make them they’re own when you aren’t around is a blatant DISRESEPECT as a friend, and community member. Weather intentional or not, still not right. I hope they will learn grow to understand and know that if they can just be who THEY are, they will still be accepted.

I am so happy to see this topic of standing your ground being brought up Naomi because this is were I’m at in my recovery, outpatient and therapy is teaching me how to put up healthy boundaries and that it is OK to do the exact things you’re talking about!! I was always a very (TO) “bendable” person during my addiction and ESPECIALLY in my recovery to the point of breaking if that makes sense, because now I’m learning how to manage feelings and life without the use of alcohol or mood altering substances and not trying to numb anything, it can be harder to do that at times, because I just want to be accepted and loved. My therapist keeps telling me that if my friends in recovery are real friends, they will understand the healthy boundaries I’m trying to set for me. This is why I love you 😘 🙏🏼💎❤️‍🩹💎❤️‍🩹🙌🏼🥰 loving how the piece is coming out!!

I agree with what you said about burnout completely. I burned out really bad about a year and a half ago. I’m trying to get back into it now but I’m still scared of not being over the burnout so I’m trying to start back with some small projects. It’s really hard for me to not just jump into joining events and stuff. Especially when I see TH-camrs getting really excited about their upcoming events. I have a pretty large stash though so I don’t want to stay burnout forever. I was so close to breaking out a DAC and joining Oz in Aug, but I managed to convince myself that I really just need to concentrate on the little 30x40 unicorn I’m working on now and I have to laugh at myself because I used to do a 30x40 in a couple of days and now it’s been a week and I’m not even half way done.

Hey babes. Thanks for this. A narcissist will never be honest with themselves bc they don’t think they are the problem. I respect that you are still willing to give someone a second chance. I understand why and adore you for that. I will give a person the benefit of the doubt but if my heart is telling be no then i will cut my ties and I’m done with that person. Especially if they never respected me enough to be honest.
