My prescription sunglasses start flaking off with along with the a thin plastic thing kind of glued to the lenses ( like a cellphone screen protector) they came off with parts of the polarized film . Any idea or if can it be fixed ? 😞😞😞😩😩😩 HELP !!!!

Hey, what sort of index would be best for -7.5 or -8.0 prescription? Also, is it true that the higher the index the more distorted the vision is in glasses? Something to do with ABBE levels of higher order aberrations? Like would 1.74 index be worse from visual clarity than 1.67 index or 1.64? Also, who should the manufacturer of the lens be for best quality? Money is not an issue. Thanks!

Never have i been more irritated by buying something i hated it..... I get dizzy, i only can see in the middle point, i have to turn my head/neck lower in order to see clear further than 30 cm, everything is moving when i move my head, i get a headache and i am hulk mad all the time..... NEVER in my misserable life have i purshed something worse than this....the only reason i think why they are promoted is because the sellers have more profit margins....

So, if the prescription is on the negative it'll show that it's on the thick side, and if it's on the positive side it'll show that it's on the thinner side 🤔?

My local optics ordered my lens with no UV protection when I purchased with that feature. They told me they have to reorder the ones with UV. Are they going to just throw away the new lens with no UV? If so, why can't I just kept that and let them cut the new lens with UV to a new pair of frames?

Are Transitions lenses covered by insurance?

I have xtractive, the tint in the car is not useful, they tint but barely, I need sunglasses on bright days and in the mornings,disappointing in car.

Taking cost out of the equation, are high-end free-form progressive lenses able to match something like a dedicated office progressive/degressive lens in terms of distortion-free width in the center/intermediate area? I've been using a fairly inexpensive 1-meter office progressive for computer work (programmer, so spend all day on the computer), but I'd really like to have a single pair of glasses that I could wear everywhere, and be able to clearly see down the hall. I just don't want to sacrifice the wide field of the view the office lens gives me while at the computer. If the free-form progressives are actually distortion free as wide as you marked on those glasses... that would probably be as wide as my office lenses are.

Thank you for this informative video. However, I am still confused as to what to order for my husband. He is now in a nursing home and has had his eyes tested. The right eye sphere is +0.75, cylinder -2.00, axis 30 and Add +2.50. The left eye sphere is +0.25, cylinder -1.50, Axis 180 and Add +2.50. Long sightedness is ticked, Irregular curvature of the eye (astigmatism) is ticked, close work (presbyopia) is also ticked. I cannot afford to pay for new specs for him from the opticians and thought I would order some online but with all the options offered for bifocals, I am totally confused. My husband is in bed all the time and watches TV, doesn’t read much at all. I would be so very grateful for your help if you could advise me on what to order.
