Ah, so that's the original tuning? I wasn't trying to match it, but that's a good idea for future EATEOT/AEBBTW videos. Here i needed to transpose twice (-1 semitone to get from G major to the original F#, and -12 semitones/ an octave to reach the low notes at the end). I decided it'd be easier to use tuning for the first transposition, and picked something random in the F# vicinity

(and I would have originally done it in F# minor if my keyboard had more space)

Was a joy to play

So a felt piano is achieved by putting a layer of felt between the hammers and the strings; you can do that on most acoustic pianos. There are indeed plugins which capture this effect, and I'm using one of them - the same one I use for my normal videos, actually; the felt version is just another preset on the main piano model

It is an amazing song; I was happy to see you do this one because it was not a radio hit, but more of an "album track." I'm fairly certain that the TH-cam algorithm noticed that I recently watched the Kansas topic's own video of "The Wall" and, because of that, placed your video a couple days later among my suggested videos.

I love to discover and embrace "album tracks" because 1) there's always some magic that people overlook, or that is too daring for mainstream tastes; 2) they haven't been overdone on TH-cam, so I feel like I'm covering new ground. Heyy you saw this! I'm so glad. It took the most work out of your arrangements but I was feeling for a challenge. Happy that this turned out well, and that it vindicates you from playability concerns (sidenote: those left hand jumps are a bit extra and probably bring more pain than payoff). Of course, these pieces which take the most effort to prepare seem to get the least views on my channel LOL

Arranging has been something I've nurtured over time (just two and a half years ago I was a complete beginner ) and I'm proud to now be at a place in my progression where so many people can enjoy what I put out!
