I cannot imagine the wear and tear on the seals and bearings of an electric motor right at the wheel. I think that’ll be trouble. They’re gonna have to take seals and wheel bearings, which would be the motor bearing to a whole different level.
Everyone realizes that axial-flux motors of this design are not new, right? And that they have been commercially available for a decade (from YASA) but no production road EV has used them yet?
Actually axial flux motors have been used in large quantities on buses in several cities here. They're integrated on the rear axle for more compact size and low floor design.
@BrogenEVSolution interesting... "here" is China, presumably. I haven't seen a European or North American EV bus use axial-flux.

The best value in axial flux motor generators can be found with the economy of scale mass production from the Chinese VAWT windmill manufacturers. They cost just hundreds not thousands and work great as motors using a sensor less json motor controllers...

A car battery can be water that is split into hydrogen and oxygen by the charging station. THEN from them we obtain electricity and water vapor which must remain on the car to be reused to produce new hydrogen and oxygen.

Batteries are very, very heavy compared to diesel engines.. Electric trucks will not be able to haul as much as diesel trucks because these heavy batteries reduce the amount of cargo that the trucks can haul beyond their own weight. This defeats the whole economic point of trucking.

Their supplier for their first prototype ("Topsy"), or their second truck (the snow plow now under construction)? They're different. E-axles all look pretty similar, and manufacturers in China routinely straight copy each other and legitimate manufacturers, so it's hard to tell from appearance.
