    2012 honda goldwing gl1800, start it up run down the road about 2 miles (speedometer is normal) and then the speedometer goes to 0, then jumps to 120, engine light comes on, do you think its the speedometer sensor?

      @@MrAnasrabah i believe it is your speed sensor. Please follow my video and replace it. Please be sure to put the rubber o-ring seal on the sensor before you install it. If not, your bike will leak oil. Thanks for watching.

    Thank you. Just finished my passenger door handle. However, I cheated when removing the cable clip. Since I was replacing the part, I grabbed a pair of pliers and snapped the plastic away to free it! Thanks again!

    I just bought a used GL1800 3 days ago, today I noticed the speedometer worked for a few minutes, then stopped and the FI light came on, noticed the one king blink and one short blink. Turned the bike off, restarted it, the speedometer worked for about 5 minutes, then stopped, light came on again. All this to say, thanks for the video, Sure made a tough job look easy. And good job camera lady. ;)

    I followed the video & my leaked oil also. Do you have the part number for the O-ring? And how do you install it? I rewatch the video and it made no mention of an O-ring. Thank you for providing how to install the speedometer sensor.

    Do yourself a favor-remove the plug in the door panel that goes around the lock pull. Much easier to drop the panel back on without fighting the lock trying to get it in to the hole with the plug in.

    Lose the steak knife use a pair of needle-nose to get the cable off of the handle and use a trim tool to pop the trim plates off.

    I hear the term center feed a lot. Are those consider center feed since they feed straight from the center? Single stack single feed and double stack single can be classified as Centerfeed?

      @@robertdoiron1379 Turns out I had to remove the top shelter on my 04 GL1800 - there's a vent duct that has to be moved to get to the plug. The F6B doesn't have that vent.

    Thanks for the video. I recently made the same bike rack for my 29 inch wheeled mountain bikes. I had to make the upright strut 14 1/2 inches long instead of the 12 1/2 like the bottom. This way, the wheel will go further ahead in the rack and just snugs up with the top.

    You idiot my granddad replaced it without removing the door panel and he didn’t have to use a dang STEAK knife, just 8mm and needle nose pliers. My granddad is WAAAYYY smarter than you!

    Enjoy your Pontiac it looks great! I purchase recently about 12 months ago a 70 early build model mostly 69 stampings on the car . It’s a Lemans Sport Convertible. It’s a 350 engine with a 350 turbo hydra Matic. The car was only with Two owners I’m the third owner . She was Born in California / the Other half of its life has been Florida . Purchased Mecum Auctions . May I ask you to please take a photograph above your turn signals / Parking light ? I am missing some type of gasket or parts which I don’t know What to ask for? Or what it looks like ? Thank you it would help me greatly, Lucas I was wondering what horsepower your 400 has an assume it’s a four barrel Quadra jet and the differential. Looks like someone change the transmission for the overdrive. I hope you got the original with the purchase. But I do think your car is really sweet

    awesome.....gotta admit it took me about 12 minutes but that includes the trip to my shop to grab my snips and just cut the cable out of the slot instead of fighting to extract it from the busted handle....it's going to the trash anyway.....SUCCESS !!! Thanks brother !

      Who knows if you have resolved this but I wonder if that is connected to one of the issues I am having. My rear left door something messed up and now says it’s always open but at first it would go back and forth between saying it was open/closed. I don’t have an alarm in mine to know if this would have happened but maybe this helps you.

    I prefer to use needle nose pliers to releases the cable and a curled pick to pop parts out. Steak knives are for fine dining, And the pick or knife will bite you if not careful.

    Hey Bob, I was able to replace my unit WITHOUT removing the door panel in 5 minutes.I was very careful when tightening the long 8mm bolt an did not loose the captive nut, otherwise I would have had to remove the door panel.

      Tried to replace it without getting the panel off. Quicker. Broke off the the old broken handle assembly and replaced with a new one. But your way is more delicate. To each their own. Your video helped in getting it done. More power.

    QUICK QUESTION: How can I manage to take this bike rack on the freeway for hours? Do I just tie the tire down?

      Hi Erick, yes that's what I do. Connect one hook of the takedown to the inside of the bed and run the other end along the backside of the gooseneck then connect it to the opposite side of the bed and ratchet it tightly so the bike does not move. I hope this explanation helps. Thanks, Bob

    Great idea. Had to adjust a couple measurements because we have one bike with a really large tire but that was easy & we had plenty of pvc left over to make that happen. Spray painted it & it looks like a nice bike rack. So light & easy to move in when not needed in the truck! Thanks, this is great
