RANDALL - "WE R E" REMIX @ JAMM 14/2/2014
Randall's set aside it was a very disappointing evening... with Fabio, Grooverider & Doc Scott @ Jamm, you'd have thought the debauchery and mayhem was a dead cert... wasn't to be... the crowd were very clean, safe and stylish... very young, too, not the sort of crowd I'd expect, as if they had all come along to the wrong night, the vibe was withheld and nonoe of the posers there wanted a hair out of place... too poncy... I was sure none of them even knew who the Dj's were... the security were right up our arses the whole time as well... still, always make the best of it with Michael Yates, we just stood out on the front talking to what few mash heads we could muster...

The only Tranny I've ever had time for. This Trick was 30 something in the 100 greatest tricks show... Saw her in some Restaurant YEARS ago and she did this trick, and the floating tenner, then put a ciggy through a pound coin lol... Hugely talented... left on the shelf by two faced hypocrisy of TV's PC Politics. Yet Paul O'grady gets a rep for his act and zillion £ contract for TV.... we never...

Something sweet, something tender...A special treat. This was part of the string segment in Gilad's 20th anniversary QEH show... Bird with strings is one of my favorites, so having the chance to hear this is closest I will ever get to it experiencing it live. The string quartet are superb and had me in a state of bewildered awe... what a showcase of skill and feeling combined

Classic
Rare Freddie Stone lead singing. And he is strumming that guitar!
❤
If you haven't done Route 66, go do it. Get in your car and do it.

Amazing❤
Thanks to WBCN way back in the day playing this and so much other stuff my musical horizons are wide and deep.
Aaaaaaah lol Ray is in the zone when he drops those
That vibes solo is class
If 75% of the band were absent sounds like they were surplus to requirements anyway! Ray had everything he needed, great rhythm section and a hot guitarist - hell, he could have done the gig on his own!😁
Supoyb!
This might be their best song of all time!
Appropriate for A Prairie Home Companion, as the song was written about 1900 by Jens Bodewalt Lampe, born in Denmark, who arrived in Minnesota in 1873, when he was four, two years after my great-great grandparents arrived from Denmark. This was an early rag played by the Sousa band. I doubt that Lampe ever met a creole belle.

TTC AINT SAFE NO MOE
Love Ernie Henry’s solo! Underrated giant of the Alto! Also love Cecil Payne on Baritone! Moody doesn’t solo here! Chano Pozo’s congas are a force of nature!

MOLE MOLE MOLE!!!
What a version!!!! 👍
I personally knew Doc, great guy. This is a fine take on John Hurt's version too.
Came here to mention the great John Hurt. One of the Giants. His syncopated finger picking and gentle voice was second to none.
Bravo. Great artist.
WITH DOC WATSON!!
I saw him live in 1972 in Michigan and he played this. I always remembered it, and still love it.
Beautifull
Always loved Taj Mahal and Ive never heard this before. Great job and so sweet.
Sho nuff!
@@elizabethanderson2968 Ive been a fan of his since 69 when I was 13. I'll never forget the second concert I went to in Davis California. He came out with his banjo, sat down on a stool and started off with Fishing Blues. Then all the lights came on and the curtains opened up to a full on band. A full on Brass band behind him and they put a whole new spin on the album The old folks back home. Loved every second of it.
🔥🔥🔥👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾🤗🙏🏾❤
THANKS
Yo!!! That a TIGHT REMIX!!!
Junie!
Call this one the 'definitive live performance' of ROUTE 66. The intuitive genius that is TH-cam circa 2021 just sent this my way - a 'live in Paris' performance of by the singer Frank Sinatra declared “the only true genius in the business” (the business of singing). You'd never know that “most of Ray's band” was still back in L.A or in transit - and that Ray was improvising so the show could go on. Program note: Ray playfully breaks the rhyme pattern by saying Saint Louis, instead of Saint Louie. Informed note posted with the video by KYLE MOLE What do you do when you arrive in Paris for a gig @ the Grand Olympia, only to find that your 75% of your band is still in LA? You do what any muso would, Improvise... a blessing in disguise, Ray Turns the Grandiose surroundings of the Olympia into smokey Jazz Club in a NYC Basement. A rare chance to see him in a small combo setting and flexing his chops. This is the opener, Route 66, a track first made famous by one of his biggest influences, Nat Cole. His solo on the Vibes setting is like having ice cubes dropped down the back of your T shirt... Just had to say Thanks, Kyle Mole. Not a bad band is it!!!
Great 👍🏼
I'm so out of it I thought the song was about the CINCINNATI REDS. Best all time title for a blues song, and a good blues at that.
I didn't know that before but it is awesome and I love it that much, 👍😍💋
That got to be Freddy singin
The horn arrangement is sublime. Jaco and the low brass make the song.

@@wayneconn1079 Your ass is on fire
The drummer that quit the band due to health issues is damn sure no slouch. Diamond had some shoes to fill when he replaced him.
