Also, if you happen to have any anecdotes, stories or pictures of your grandfather's business, I would love to get in contact with you. It'd be amazing to be able to create content featuring it.

Saw this game at Next Level Pinball and this was probably the most unique game/one that caught my eye the most out of all of them they had there. Sadly the novelty of it wears off extremely fast. Shame that it was produced in the '80s, could have made for an interesting play if it had more elements to it. The table was also not in super good condition.

The music in the beginning and ending of the video was edited into the video in post production. The original Bally Cheap Squeek sound card is not able to produce that sound quality. You would have to add an after market sound board to pull that off.

5:39 I LOVED the games that had the save-ball gate you could open! I always looked at like the game was playing more fair than most in that it not only took away your ball, but also gave you the goal to save it when other games would simply take it away. These simpler games are much more appealing to me. You can figure them out on the fly, rather than be confused by overly-complicated rules and games that have nothing but ramps everywhere, like most modern games. That's right, I'm old. 🙂

How do you play Bad Girls? 1st you need to learn how to shoot ramps--no you can't. I would have been completely embarrassed if I shot ramps/targets this poorly. The 1st thing I would have done was to learn the timing of the ramps (without hitting the bumper posts over and over and over and over and over again). This was not good game play at all. I wish I would have seen this machine with a skilled player. Maybe then I would have got an idea if it was a good or bad pinger.

Thanks for the compliment, much appreciated! The key to a quality slow motion video is to have a stellar lighting setup. You're dealing with very fast shutter speeds. If you don't have good lighting, you could contemplate dragging your pin outside on a sunny day for a nice result. I use a Sony A7s III camera for my videos, which is an amazing cam for 4k slomo, but a modern phone camera with a slomo setting can give nice results as well. Davinci Resolve software goes a long way for editing and color grading. Good luck! Please do send me an update once you've created your own video!

Thank you so much Kyle! That mechanism (located in the cabinet) is an early adaptation of a score motor. Together with 5 relays, it controls the logic on the amount of points the player gets for scoring a flag rollover switch (0 / 1000 / 2000 / 3000 / 4000 / 5000).
