    Great video. 👍 Classic horror movie art. The "Legend of Black Pyramid" from the factory flyer is clever:
    It all began thousands of miles beyond the mouth of the Nile River in the fertile region known today as Bally Midway. It was here that an expedition of the world’s most prominent pinballologists wandered west and made a startling discovery while excavating for new plateaus in arcade adventures. Through remarkable feats of engineering, they soon uncovered a mysterious artifact said to have once amused Pharaohs, priestesses and mummies in their final resting place. Preserved in all its monolithic glory lied the treasures of BLACK PYRAMID. Never before had modern civilization had the chance to marvel at the rich ornamental sculpting of its cabinetry….the majesty of its flashing lights….the gleaming opulence of its regal flippers. Now from the far corners of Bally Midway, the legend known as BLACK PYRAMID lives again.
    Yeah, right. I think it was built by space aliens from the Williams Galaxy. Good old swinging target games, starting with Williams' Magic Clock in 1960.
    Boris Karloff recommends this game.

      The rubber flippers in your video are yellow; is this the standard colour from the factory? I have seen other videos/photos online with other colours, such as pink. My flipper rubbers are black. Would like to get factory colours for everything on my machine where possible.

    5:39 I LOVED the games that had the save-ball gate you could open! I always looked at like the game was playing more fair than most in that it not only took away your ball, but also gave you the goal to save it when other games would simply take it away. These simpler games are much more appealing to me. You can figure them out on the fly, rather than be confused by overly-complicated rules and games that have nothing but ramps everywhere, like most modern games. That's right, I'm old. 🙂

    I own this machine. Great learning Pin for flipper control and ball manipulation. Feel froggy ? Shoot the moving center target. Wife loves it and fresh novice players lean a ton of abilities after a few dozen games. Mine is a solid 92 on a scale of 100 = being new. My best high score, 5 Mill +. Pin lives in my garage ( home connected.) Pin for some reason plays best ( no-weird side drains ) on first game after being turned on with garage temps around 52 degrees. Go figure.

      The "How the hell do you play it?" series will definitely continue. However, the current focus is on short videos about pinball history. I make these in collaboration with the Dutch Pinball Museum.

    My game has stopped playing the music which is played at the start and the end of this video. The game still plays the sound effects, but no longer plays the music.
    I think that I might have accidentally changed a setting in the game when I pushed the test button.
    Do you know which setting I have to adjust or what I have to do to get the music to play again? It's the best part of the game.

    • @BallenvanStaal
      @BallenvanStaal 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The music in the beginning and ending of the video was edited into the video in post production.
      The original Bally Cheap Squeek sound card is not able to produce that sound quality. You would have to add an after market sound board to pull that off.
