    Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. I don't think I would have been given the time to explore my deeper self had it not been for chronic illness. I am learning such a lot but on the outside I'm no different. One friend gets it and that's all. I am getting to know my true self.

    Good stuff! Wrote something I wanted to share. When I started following you I couldn't sit and feel for 30secs. I was running from my symptoms 24/7 and wasn't even aware of that. Now Im able to sit for hours per day with sensations if needed to. At first sensations got worse. But I was giving them finally some space so that is natural. Mind reacts with fear, "this is not helping, what if it keeps getting worse etc". Thats a thought, with practice you will see that more and more. Feel it. Little by little. Sensation can be intense. There was so many thoughts, but keep dropping back in to body sensation now matter how intense it is. Mind quiets down overtime, I can see this so clearly in my experience now. But look for the sneaky subtle resistance. Resistance drops in layers. It has to be seen through. It took a lot of practice. I can say its cool to see resistance dropping and the intimacy with sensation can be pleasant. Your direct guidance has been the best! Thank you❤

    When you say sit and allow for 20 minutes. The mind will most likely produce a lot of thoughts, where do you aim your attention to? Body sensations?

    • @life.withkyle
      @life.withkyle 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @djVania08 Yes, you can also practice noticing the thoughts without identifying with them. Possible question - "Can I stay with body sensation and notice the moment I get caught in thoughts " Can also inquire into thoughts directly, - "what is this experience of thinking actually made up of? It's so compelling but what really is the true nature of thoughts " etc. Being willing to investigate will take you deeper even if it feels like there's too many thoughts

    • @life.withkyle
      @life.withkyle 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

  • @owenlloyd593
    @owenlloyd593 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I've been finding lately that life just gives you what it gives you. I have periods where I feel more able to expand my physical activity and get out in the world or engage in more activities, and other times where symptoms are higher where i need to go into my experience. I find that the way you talk about this hits on something a lot of other people in the chronic illness world overlook, that when symptoms are high it means there's something to be felt and processed. Many people say we should just rest and not pay attention to the symptoms, and even encourage distraction when symptoms are high. So anyway yeah, I've been trusting life more recently, and trying to feel grateful for everything that arises.

I spend a lot of time meditating and the main fear is the symptoms will never go away and this will be my life forever - that's the resistance. I am able to run towards the fire and be with what is. The empowerment soul attitude was also toxically positive for me and did not work for me as as a child I was a victim and as I could not change my circumstances and did not have any power to chage things (as we do as adults). I had to go back into lots of memories and do lots inner child work and feel the feeling of shame, not good enough, aloneness, grief, anger and rejection. I had to go into the feelings (the opposite of empowered feelings) to meet this part where it was so then I could be in relationship with it, hear it and love it so that if it comes up I can now see it (my shame part), be in relationship with it as a part of me, and I don't have to be it (it is not who I am).

  • @evelinel.9827

    That gratitude practice seems like it could be tipping into spiritual bypassing. I did all that stuff the first few years and ultimately it did not work work out for me and when I stoped the toxic positivity and learned to go into my body and feel the anger, grief, fear, and shame i(over and over) instead of reframing and practicing gratitude I started really healing and symptoms started dropping off.

    I'm wondering if you'd recommend actually intentionally bringing fearful thoughts to the forefront of your experience? I have a lot of thoughts that actually can cause physical anxiety and even adrenaline dumps in my body, and I'm torn as to whether I should explore these thoughts and the associated sensations intentionally during meditation, or simply allow them to pass through my experience. We're often told not to pick up thoughts in meditation and simply let them pass, but maybe picking it up without identification and exploring the ins and outs of the thought and the sensations it creates in the body could be something necessary to work through in order to reduce the fear and the physical reaction caused by the thought? What do you think?

    • @life.withkyle
      @life.withkyle 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @owenlloyd593 yeah I think that can be powerful. To intentionally bring them forward is great because usually resistance is trying to run from and hide it away which drives a lot of unconscious behavior. So to go in the opposite direction and consciously explore our own fears and triggers can be very fruitful

    Thank you for your videos! They have helped me a lot. I have a question that is coming out of curiosity, not fear. I believe I've really done the work. I'm no longer scared, I've completely went back into fully living my life as if i had nothing. I meditate, do breath work. I can't say I'm indifferent though to the symptoms, sometimes angry and frustrated.... but I'm very aware of the patterns and have worked on releasing resistance. Yet, (if i take a step back on my journey right now), I do not see any major improvements with my symptoms. I've just gotten really good at living with them... Why is that? Again, except a bit of frustration, I'm really asking this question out of curiosity and not out of "stuck in fear desesperation". Thank you!
