I’m still looking at all the stats and gathering my opinion. He is a little tougher to evaluate for me because he hasn’t pitched in AA and his major league stats are 2 very different results. Hoping to have a video of what I think out this weekend.

I don’t understand it myself. I just know what some hitters hit better against certain pitch types. Hanwha as a team does well against his main pitch types. Just like they do not do well against lefties who throw fastball-slider combinations.

They have been hitting since the new hitting coach took over. So it’s just a matter of being able to pitch well enough. Crowd was almost a sellout, so pretty good for a Tuesday. Will be interesting for tonight and tomorrow when the reigning Rookie of the Year isn’t pitching.

The last two games have had plenty of excitement and gut wrenching moments for fans. Glad you are enjoying it.

운동선수들은 사람이고, 야구의 모든 부분을 잘할 수는 없을 것이다. 감독은 강점과 약점을 인식하고 그런 상황에서 성공하기 위해 최고의 선수들을 투입해야 한다 I’m not sure if that is correct because I’m not entirely sure on the Korean vocabulary for a few things, so here is the English. Athletes are people, they are not going to be good at all parts of baseball. The manager has to recognize a players strengths and weaknesses and put them in the best situation to succeed.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I can’t understand one of the signings when the player isn’t being used in the spot they have played their entire career. And your weakest spot is now being played by a bunch of people hitting .100 with 35-50% strikeout rates. The three signings have all been horrible. The 류현진 signing is fine and will work out. He just needs a better defense behind him because his FIP is 3.17, which is way better than his ERA. There needs to be a serious look at putting the players in the spot to win on offense and the mound. It’s not happening right now. And if those players don’t want to play where they should, then they shouldn’t be on the team. I just imagine this team if they had the same 3 foreigners from last year, they would be 10-40.

@@DreadsROKTV hey i totally agree with you that the signings arent producing the best outcomes, but i started to honestly wonder, what difference would it have made if we signed jihwan oh or sukhwan yang? not much... we are not even in a position to sign these top tier FAs beause unless we pay significantly more than LG, Doosan, SSG, no top tier player would be willing to sign with Hanwha, thats why we had to sign Chae and Ahn for much more than other teams wouldve paid for them. But i dont even want to blame the newly signed FAs. theres nothing we can do about the batters, just gotta wait for their cycle to come up. What pisses me off the most this year is obviously the way the team is being managed. Absolute monkey show it is this year. the constant switches in position and lineup (no wonder why we can build a solid lineup of outfielders for many many yesars,, and we signed KAngmin Kim for 90k a year as a solution to our weak outfield??? but we signed 2 infielders for a lot of money, and now the team want Eunwon to go to centerfield, still not gonna give Tanggu a permanent position, also hyunbin has to go infield and outfield .. Even im confused on whats going on, how confused would the players be ), absolutely nonsensical pinch hitting and pinch runner subs. Also, our bullpen management is horrible. our manager never goes up on the mound, always changing the pitcher when its max pressure situation rather than preventing it before the basese get loaded. This team is good for nobody, not for the fans, not for the new FAs, not for the Korean prospects.. It would really suck to see Hwang and Moon age as just a mediocre KBO pitcher. But at the end of the day, im in Vegas up at 2;30am everyday watching this team play.. so might as well, lets win some games!

This is similar to early when I started watching. They just signed the free agents and thought it was going to turn the team around. Similar to the Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers. But that doesn’t always mean they will play well or fit their new position correctly. The dugout management is the biggest thing to blame and is why I think having a new thought process in the dugout is what Hanwha needs. Not the same methods and thoughts with a different name and number on the back of the uniform.

@@DreadsROKTV Well.. thats why we hired Subero. He was supposed to run the team from a totally new perspective, but of course, he gets fired and we hire a new manager whos a family relative of the gm. its always the same guys whos been around forever in the small community of KBO. Same old approach to the game. Thats why this team hasnt made any significant improvement for the last 15 years or so.

Subero did a lot of good. He changed the thinking in the clubhouse and the work ethic on and off the field. The young players loved playing for him and the coaching staff. His on field managing was very similar to KBO managers of the past and present though. That resulted in a lot more losses than if he wasn’t following a KBO in-game strategy. Offensively, he was given basically no tools to get results and then when he was finally given something, they fired him. That’s why they need a mix of foreign views and KBO views in the game. You can’t have one or the other, it needs to be both.
