Finally an update to bring Reblium into a program that can be used for production. High res maps for all objects and a nice little Arkit to see how your character would react. I would like to see an AI bridge that allows user to import basic renders (or pre-sender) and receive improved outputs. Possibly alter the render to various styles (high-res realistic, toon, animi, etc.). Another possibility would be to import render of characters on white background, then specify a style and environment. Daz has always been centered around character creation. Putting the rest of the lighting and environment package together is overly time consuming.
Yeah 100% it would be nice to see more and more useful tools in DAZ. First they need to redesign the entire UX. Its not great. Lets hope for the best here. I think this is a step in the right direction though. Lets see what comes:) Thanks for the message mate:)
I like the start of this studio. I would like to see more face and body customization control. I wish to import custom bodies, faces, clothes, hair, and accessories to create a library for export to UE5. How do they treat updates for paid customers? I missed the half-off sale, so now I'm hesitant to buy at full price if they are moving to a new version update. I would prefer this in my pipeline because it's straightforward and eliminates the tedious process of UV, Morphs, and texturing skin repeatedly. Thanks for the demo.
Hey mate. So if you buy this version the all updates for the version are free. I think you need to buy the next full version though but at a discount if you have it already. Why not wait a bit they always have this 50% sale on now and again. It definitely needs more customization as its lacking in these departments for sure. If your not sure then Id wait a while or for a sale at least. Hope this helps:)

Is there a way to take in different body types? Or even aliens or different meshes?
Not yet. Well not an easy way anyway. First option is choose a body MH proved there like 6 of them. Other way is to export your MH body out of unreal and sculpt it using blender or Zbrush the way you want and bring it back into unreal and add it to your MH using something like Mesh Morpher. But mesh morpher is expensive. hope this helps

Your welcome mate:) glad it helped. Yes you can. You need to make the Daz character and pose it on the timeline, Export its animations then re-target in Unreal to the Metahuman. Sup kev :) . Any model can look bad or good depending on your lighting and materials . Metahuman though have fantastic skin materials , hair etc and are so well put together:) makes em look so good . But we can also use those metahuman materials with any other character with proper setup . Hope your well mate :)

AI is definitely gimmicky unless it does something more like modify textures or geometry. Hopefully they don't spend lots of time on it and work on more parameters for the body, clothing support, skin shaders is probably the biggest one.
Sure its a gimmick but what a sweet gimmick. Also it does open a nice audience for the non artist, things like TH-cam, ticktock etc. Its definitely a nice to have and a ton of fun to experiment with... You have to set keys on your rig . So in the sequencer you need to set the keys for your character. Then every time you open your scene the pose will be stored in your sequencer. If you want to save them to an animation clip or pose clip you need to bake it down to an animation clip that can be reused for other metahuman . My friend Mr. Surgeon in the house!! Got this product finally trying to convert my Madeline character from 8.1 to 9. You saved me on of my big problems which was how the heck do you get the material you saved out to apply to the G9 character.... drag and drop!! DOH!!! I think you helped also with the eyelashes but honestly the PDF is lacking in my opinion and the developer really should have had a video ready to explain to people how to use their own product in my opinion. Thanks a bunch my good friend.

I like the idea, but it's far too limited currently. They're only using daz assets for "copyright and moral reasons," that's what they were referring to by "ethically," but as a result it doesn't do much to faces since it has such a limited data set. And bodies are easily tweakable manually so no one really cares about that. And yeah, I reckon it'll be the same as almost every other AI software out there, tokens per use based on prompt complexity, buy tokens with real cash.
Ah haha well let’s see how ethical they are. Maybe they make a good plan with the content creators. Yes completely limited and for me useless for now but new things need to start somewhere. Let’s see where it goes and as for a token system. I wouldn’t personally use it. Tired of subscriptions n crap:) have a good one mate :)
THANK YOU, for making this vid, I figured it would be here today! I am someone, that after diving head first into a bum load of research(yes, testing genAI engines included) I am again unethical genAI (the ones that have harvested from artists without consent, etc) This has been touted as being 'ethically' trained(yet the vid for it shows 'andrea the giant' being used as a prompt...was his estate asked?). From... "Trained solely on Daz Original Art, Yellow's AI ensures ethical use with no concerns about ownership or consent" Now, what I have to ask....is what about those Daz content creators that make characters? If they are making it so, you just prompt and poof! Character (body or face) What is going to happen to those content creators that make characters? Its not just, "genAI" being “ethically trained” its…what about the real people. I understand it is to make it easier for say someone that may not know how to fine tune a character, but…what about those content creators. It's getting harder and harder for them. Daz keeps jumping on this horse...while “support” is left unanswered(currently, I have three tickets that are older than a year, cant get a response at all) Also, no matter the morph packages I get for gen9, its just...not as good as 8.
I agree that this COULD BE a step toward what we (and many others) want: HD Morphs. I guess DAZ will allow it when they and Yellow can make enough money off the public plugin to equal the amount that the Creator's License yields. Currently, I'm looking at creating faux HD Morphs with sculpted detail in Blender using the MultiRes Modifier, saved as another Normal Map, then Blended with the existing Daz Normal to *_finally_* get us an HD Morph. So *_there,_* sir: I have described the process: _DO A TUT AND _*_MAKE IT SO!_* 'Cause me am too dumb to figure it all out! ;)
Haha what’s up kev :) sooo your explaining a detailed normal map. You would bake down the high res detail of your sculpt onto the maps. Meaning you won’t have that geometry in daz but you would be able to use the normal to get some details back. I do have a tutorial on blending normal maps on my site. I think a better way would be exporting a high res obj then sculpting details and bring that obj back in as a high res morph. I’ll look into it :) have a great weekend kev mate :)
who has been asking for this? this shit is getting roasted...every time they try a.i tools they get roasted. how is it the right direction to try and cut the feet off of the content creators who sell morphs? where is the generator getting the bodies to provide for the a.i generator to function?
Tools for artists are a good thing if your still in control and they help get you to the exact point you want to be but you bring up a very good point. What does this do to the content creators? Seems like everything they do these days is kinda edging out the creators one way or another. Intentional or unintentionally. Yeah really not nice.

I noticed the T-pose for Genesis 9 has been changed to match the Noemi character's pose (arms) but you said you loaded it by default settings? Do you have to change the G9 pose to match first?

oh also, the hairs alone and the option to simulate makes the product stand out alone. the price for buying this vs buying a daz hair and converting it over to unreal engine is worth the price.
100% the amount of grooms you get really do make it a really good price and not including the outfits n other stuff. Like I said I like fair. They have done a good job and continue to bring out more and more updates. Lets see where it goes. Have a great day mate:)

Love the videos and I would say game ready would be great but I doubt it, because of the polycount.

I'm going to buy it looks good. is there a possibility to use DAZ clothes for these characters? And how should I tackle that. Reblium character to MD and then DAZ cloth to MD?
There is a demo you can try first before you buy it. Yes you can use daz clothes. You can. Use blender etc but the easiest way is using meta tailor. I have a tutorial on how to do that just look up meta tailor :) I hope this helps and have a good Sunday :)
@@imagineeverything I bought it (RB). I see that the BaseMesh.fbx are in a folder. If this were to be used by the program, it could be adjusted to make the character somewhat feminine.

What are these assets like in Unreal? Epic skeleton? Bend morphs for joints? Soft tissue (jiggle) physics? My daz pipeline is pretty good, but even with the new retargeter it's a little off. Does this have all that, or would it be easier just to get off my ass and fix my daz rig? lol
Haha unfortunately nothing ever works easy. Daz just needs a few adjustments or they need to update their rig for 5.4 . Reblium comes in with one click which is nice . Check out my other reblium vids. You can also export morphs or ARKit to use with metahuman animator or live face. It all works but you would still need to add your physics and a good few other things. Rebliums bridge though I find better. It imports it like a metahuman bp . Also it has groom hair which I like. All depends on what you like using but both will still need a certain amount of tinkering:)
Doesn't work. The 5.4 folder doesn't exist. Not in the 365 version and not in the latest 381 version

I wonder how hard it is to pipeline one of these to iClone or Daz...
You could take them over Im sure but not using the morphs in Daz or anything like that. UV and poly counts are different assets. But maybe to CC using the import character and morphing it to a cc...... maybe? and daz you could bring it in but need to set it up as a single character. I think it would be a nightmare:) Depends on how integrated you want it . Have a good weekend:)
Creating character is great but animating in other software is hard ..but rebelium lacking in many way also need a place in pipeline of work
Putting together a control rig in UE5 is really quick for these. Other software could be more challenging though. But slowly they are adding in these things. Blender already is a one click solution and animating with Mocap is a breeze. But yes it needs more time for alot of features. Let me know the features you would like the most:)

How does it look when you export this to Blender? Metahuman is a nightmare to export and look quite bad. Are hairs done with cards?
I have not tested it yet but the solution is the same as UE which is a one click solution with the plugin provided. Look wise I have no clue. Hair cards and strand based hair are both supported :) hope this helps

I had high hopes when seeing Reblium but not sure if it is worth buying and what the future may be. So far I am using character creator 4. Can the purchased be exported easily to Unity?
We use cc for production. Cc 4 is really nice :) I am starting to use reblium a lot with personal stuff and I like it. If you buy everything for cc then it’s extremely powerful but costs a lot. Reblium is 99 and done but doesn’t come close to the power of cc. So I have no idea if you can 1 click into unity. I don’t use unity but you can certainly export out the fbx and export it that way. Then just hook up the materials n textures . Bit longer but will definitely work. In unreal there is a one click option which is nice :)

@@imagineeverything Hey Ry, I’m doing great, thanks for asking! I’m still working at the gas station and I spend every free minute developing my novel. I keep changing a lot of things, but the core idea remains as I originally envisioned it three years ago. Working at the gas station has also made me physically stronger, and I can accomplish much more than I could two years ago. I lead a simple life and find joy in the little things. I’m especially happy whenever I get a day off to work on my novel. It fulfills me and makes me really happy. I also take a lot of pictures, but I don’t share them publicly. At the moment, everything remains for me alone, even though it’s not always easy without external validation. What I need most right now is time that I can use wisely and effectively. Wow she looks incredible! I'm only about 45% through the podcast and you're so right I'm so on the same page with you on that. I always recognize in myself this war with this product's better than that product this company is better than that product look at the good they do, look how they've improved my life. And it starts to get into well, to improve my life they had to destroy part of the world. So there's a lot of wrestling, internal turmoil, going on with me and I believe most if not all humans walking around. Either way hopefully the voice dictation did well and thanks for doing this.

okay ich brauche HIlfe! Als erstes: wenn ich bei meinem Metahuman, Animationen von Mixamo benutze, löscht man ja den Bodyrig damit die Animationen funktionieren. Das bedeutet aber, dass ich dann nichts mehr ändern kann. Also zum Verständnis: Meine Person guckt in die falsche Richtung, aber wegen der Mixamo Animation kann ich ihr Kopf nicht rotieren, weil der BodyRig fehlt. Und falls ich natürlich den BodyRig hinzufüge, funktioniert die Animation nicht mehr. Danke für die HIlfe
If you are using 5.4 then you can use both at the same time. If its not then you delete the rig add the motion capture but then you can bake that motion capture back onto the rig and then the rig will have the animation and you can keep animating the way you want. @@imagineeverything I manage to have my character rig and my animation at the same time. But the problem is that only one of the two then works. Either the animation in the rig is shown or the one from the animation maximo
@@damnilfx5788 What version of unreal are you working with? Also when you want to swap between the two you need to tell it in the sequencer that this layer is off and this one takes over and visa versa. Key those instructions and you can use either.

Anyway to retain a pose in daz? I need to generate a bunch of posed museum people in daz and bring them to unreal. I got the Daz to unreal working, but it seems to only do T-pose. Id FBX or OBJ my only option?
So I have a tutorial I did in Unreal once. I exported the Character in t Pose through the bridge. Once I had that I went back into Daz and did a ton of different poses and keyed them on the timeline. Once I had that I exported just the animation through the bridge and BAM. I could just slide to what pose I wanted on that character and duplicate it then slide that one to the pose I wanted and so forth. @imagineeverything yeah, since H.materials takes the "normal" G9 surfaces that it might not understand the geografs surface!? Just speculation about all of this! The product seems, but I wish it would have more parts or perhaps head and body! Looks kinda weird having a zombie head and a normal body, I don't own the product so not sure what's it's includes other than what your video shows, but the eye "hole" grafs looks cool, not too fan of the mouth, I am on the lookout for a graf that covers the mouth so it kinda "removes" the mouth like the X-Men Origins: Wolverine version of Deadpool. Thought I saw one for G9 on the daz store a while ago but must have been something else!
