sounds like i shouldve hung onto erasmus in draft...
Yep he sounds like the big boomer this year and mostly due to the FWD status tbh
As a freo fan, this is my best 23 B: Walker, Pearce, Chapman HB: Ryan, Cox, Clark C: Sharp, Brayshaw, O’Driscoll HF: Bolton, Treacy, Jackson F: Frederick, Amiss, Switkowski Followers: Darcy, Serong, Young Interchange: Johnson, Sturt, Wagner, Erasmus Sub: Fyfe/Walters/O’mera/Narkle
Okay surprising that Reid isn't there but with 5 on ballers all it takes is 1 injury and he goes from fringe 23/sub then onto the bench
@ I think that Reid definitely has a shot at getting a game next year, except if he does I don’t think it will be in the midfield. I think it will be either half-forward or half-back.
Fair could always be the classic half-forward with 20% CBAs
Hi Ky What are your thoughts on Riley Thilthorpe, what could he average and could his CBA's increase enough to get DPP?
Key Forward so is pretty much an auto pass even if he has the secondary ruck role. He isn't going to score consistently and also isn't going to jump up by enough average per game to be relevant
I think Perryman could be valuable, because he moved to Collingwood to get more midfield minutes. From what I have seen at training and read in reports, he is training with the midfield. It looks like he is going to switch between midfield and half-back. Reef seems to be moving into defence as a third tall and as a Nathan Murphy replacement, so he might not score that well, but he could have good job security.
Yep Perryman is in the awkward bracket because Coleman is a more valuable option just due to the huge discount but Perryman could be that guy that we grab early out of the bye because he could be a genuine top 6. Obviously haven't made my AF side yet but he is currently in the SC side
Charlie Edwards basically spent all year in the centre, attending probably the most CBA. He's like Zac Taylor with maybe slightly less pure football ability and IQ, but he's 10cm taller and more athletic. I also really like Oscar Ryan. But with Peatling and Cumming, maybe the duo have to wait longer for opportunity.
Fair that was the vibe I got from his stats and rookie profile. Just think that high end talent is newer and above him in Curtin and Draper that he will struggle
@kybroome my concern with Curtin is his role. He's currently training with the midfield group. But I can see him also playing forward which is a score killer. If I'm Nicks, he plays half back in the AFL. With stints on-ball. Because he absolutely killed it in the SANFL and although he will be a decent midfielder, with a huge ceiling. At this point, his biggest impact at senior level is HB. On the first or second tall, but a running HB. I can't see him being the midfielder we want at this point, I don't trust Nicks. At some point though, Dan Curtin will be hugely relevant! Wether it's early 2025 I doubt. But if he plays the first two games in a friendly role, I'd grab him! But reluctant to start atm. Sid the Kid, straight in!
Problem is Nicks doesn’t believe you can really have a tall running half back. Curtin should be on the medium forward and intercepting and running or being played on ball
Don't forget J.Dawson has only played in the Mid for under two years (and already has AA status) He'll get much better with more experience & a more settled role & with better support around him ie Draper, Curtin, Peatling.
He will only really get to like 110-115 again if he plays consistently in the midfield
What date can you start picking your team ?
Don’t know tbh was 18th last year
go swans go for the flag in 25
Probably won’t given the history but got to back the bloods
What happened to Sutherland?
Batting 7 and bowling 1-3 isn’t the best role imo especially if they want to nurse him into the tournament
@ thanks, who would u say the top 5ish must haves before the game tonight cos I’m rushing trying to fix my team
@@louisovens15 Sorry that i didn't get to this went to bed at Tea (because thats midnight in Florida). Would say the must haves from the gades are Khan O'Neill Zampa and then you look at bench players like Thornton from the Strikers.
@ nah all good, didn’t realise you were outside Australia
Thanks mate, this is gold. Much appreciated.
No worries, glad it helped!
Really appreciate the videos mate ❤. Youve been carring me
Appreciate that! Glad they’re helping
No webster? Surely, he's a must have if he plays
Don't know if he will play even now and this was recorded before the Inglis news
@ if he plays though, you’ll get him most likely?
@@kybroomewhat's the Inglis news?
Will be held over for the Aussie side and won't be available for Perth
@@kybroome we’re talking about Webster right? That’s not confirmed is it?
How do trades work for the first round??
Any team that hasn't played yet can be freely traded. One their game kicks off then they are locked in that position for the round, whether that be on field or not. When we hit round the end of rd1 you will get 3 trades per round and 2 boosts which can be activated in separate rounds to give you a 4th trade for the round.
Can you explain how Doran works as a loop? I thought because he is in the keeper slot then this will only cover for Seifert?
Yep he only covers for Seifert. He can be used as a Captaincy loop to allow us to take Curran's VC score and double it
So if Curran performs do you switch the captaincy from short over to Doran?
Yep
what do you think of starting turner if he is named for round 1 at 70k instead of konstas??
Nah, Connolly is going to play and bowl before Turner and they will have Agar back in rd2 so he becomes just a number 5 batter that doesn't bowl
@ yes that makes sense now vulnerable of not batting and won’t bowl, not worth it for that price even on the double. thanks mate! sounds like beau webster will be released, inglis and boland to be held back
Yep hearing that and it will change my side slightly but we will see. Need to figure out how to get another 16k from somewhere. Probably just a simple Rogers to Paris and then Edwards to Webster
@ yep my team is relatively similar to yours my field was the same as your video except i have Webster over tye. bench is the same but a bit weaker with buckingham in the bowlers. if he isn’t named hopefully bazely is because i have 21k to afford him from buckingham.
But Matt Short, you're still paying the whole 300k straight up! If you start a Rogers example, 117k. Thats 180k needed next week. But you're backing Rogers to score 60 over two games and Short to drop 15-25k. So, because I've kept the 180k in the bank, specifically for this reason. We pick up Short in round 2, for theoretically cheeper. And possibly had a higher scoring player, who made money also, straight to Short R2! Anyway, that's what I'm looking at doing.
Thats a lot of cash left in the bank that could be used to make cash but also your missing the point that you have another 120k guy maybe say Milne who potentially doesn't outscore Short over 1 game and thus you have potentially kept cash in the bank all for less points and maybe 10k cash generation/cash loss mitigation. Like for Short to drop 15k he has to score 50 in the first game.
@kybroome which still means you don't have Short for the double in round 2. Which is my point! This way, you get a cheaper version, and have a VC on Short in R2!
And if Short goes more than 100 say 120-140, you either have to go without Short or have to tear up your team in a sub optimal way to get him. Basically season relies solely on Short scoring what you project. I ain't taking that much risk for one guy
@kybroome so, what sort of score would leave me out? He would need in excess of 110 for one game. Basically, it's not I taking the risk on the one guy!
Would kill your game off if Short went 140 as he would go up 12k
Thanks bud, really appreciate your vods and insights
No worries, glad they help!
very helpful, good luck bro!
Appreciate it!
Just wondering if we can expect price changes in the first two rounds or if we need to wait till round 3 to get a rolling average?
Price changes happen after each round
Team reveal?
Friday
Out of Jhye Richardson, Lance Morris and Jason Behrendorff who do you think is best to have
Richardson is probably the most under priced and best batter of the lot there. That’s if your fine with the increased injury risk
Great vid! What are your thoughts on Tom Rogers (R) vs Hassan Khan?
Good debate. Think Rogers bowls 4 and bats 3 positions lower than Khan who will bowl 3 overs. Is that extra over going to be worth 2 positions higher in the batting order. I probably go with Khan by a matter of 1-2 points of average tbh but it is so close it could go either way
Is this your team right now?
No this is the most owned players from all the teams. My team reveal will be released on the 14th of December
Your videos are awesome mate. The spreadsheet is great too. I really appreciate the effort you put into these
Much appreciated!
legendary work mate!
Thanks for all your posts, research and insights. Very useful and appreciated
Your welcome
Within Recording this video and it going live an hour after recording, more news has come to light. 1. Ryan Hadley has been signed by Sydney Thunder 2. Jason Sangha is fit and available for South Australia and has made a decent start with the bat. 3. Josh Inglis was released last night from the test squad and is playing for WA against NSW at the SCG. 4. Jack Wildermuth has signed with Brisbane Heat to fill their roster
Is Buckingham expected to be fit for the first game??
Thats the big what if that im not willing to risk given that they play later on in rd1 and is an easy trade in for rd2 if playing
Is Hardie under an inj cloud now..?? Geez , Is lot players falling over before we even start
Yep obviously I release this at 12pm and the daily news update comes out a few hours later and almost null and voids my video
Did I miss some news with Sutherland? Why does nobody have him anymore
Currently in the side strain club that’s growing amongst Australian bowlers. Will test it in the trial games but is a no from me atm if he isn’t bowling 3+
Weatherald is looking awesome at the moment !
Yep
Absolute madness occurring just before the season about start 😅
Every time I do an update video more chaos news happens hours after. Turner and Hasan Khan news happening that same day
Yeah outrageous but adds more cheapies for us to think about
@@sadsupercoacher Webster going to be released as well in the next couple of days so we are fine there as well
So you reckon webster and inglis wont be released? What do you think the chance sean abott is?
I think that Abbott and Doggett get released but Webster and Inglis don't
Could you go Maddison instead of Renshaw
Probably not now with Turner out
Richardson injured now, 😭
No he isn't. Came back to bowl after dislocating his shoulder so he is fine
Can you post the spreadsheet link on youtube please. I don't have other socials
Sorry thought i had added it to the original description of this and past videos, updated: Google Spreadsheet link: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K50EeuA8pkr9oh42KCQNtCN1FZEWJURqof4UY7BOfn4/edit?usp=sharing
@@kybroome Thankyou!
Xavier Lindsay will most likely be playing majority half back for us
Fair i looked back and said he could play on the wing in the video but he has the footy skills to be played behind the ball or anywhere on the outside from rd1. Feels like he is the type to slowly move on ball over the course of a couple of seasons
@ yeah for sure, Langford is more ready to play midfield straight away but it seems like with Lindsay we will allow him to develop behind the ball before exposing him into the midfield
@@Legend24_ Yep disappointed that neither Langford nor Hynes got DPP status but still won't matter too much
Like your thinking on value cheap players with good job security.
As a Brisbane fan I am so excited for the Ashcroft duo.
Fair, i was fired up on the night about not getting a KPF but then you start to find reasons etc and realise they probably will get one on day 2 or trust in next years academy players
Fair enough Richmond absolutely cooked last night especially when they burnt north Melbourne getting that potentially top 5 pick next year for the 27th pick.
Only way that North can realistically save it is by using the F2 to get the other Whitlock as turning an F1 into both Whitlock brothers is still bad but not the worst. Also North gotta hope that there is 3-4 top NGA guys next year which is quite possible so that it turns into #10 etc
Hey Ky. Love your effort trying to get onboard with viewers.
Love your work Ky is there a link to your xl sheet or is that just for you
Currently it is still in progress but it is getting close to completion just need to add some things to it
You’re doing a great job Ky. Keep it up. Great updates on injuries and players on BBL, AFLW and AFL. 😊We are blessed to have someone as committed like yourself. I’m sure you will be on Fox Sports one day!
Thank you, I love does this as a hobby. But, i'm like 8 months away from graduating university and setting myself up in the world of Economics and in particular economic inequalities and how we can change that with targeted policies
FYI Rnd 3 Stars have sixers and thunder not sixers and strikers
Yep thats a slight mistake on my part copying the schedule across
Jack Wood has been added to the Brisbane Heat roster. I believe he will be a BAT/BWL at 39.5k with a BE of 13. Most likely won't play but will add some much needed depth to the batting stocks of Brisbane with their 3 Aussie players away on international duty.
Further details of Buckingham's injury have come to light after the recording and uploading of this preview. He now has a slight fracture in his rib that will put him in doubt for Rd1. I still believe he will be available and play for the Strikers in Rd1.
Can u talk about surge overs if they are still downing them this year? They often bring wickets to bowlers
They still do. Richardson and Rogers would be the obvious ones for the Renegades but will talk more about death over bowling in the next preview
Been away for a week and got some catching up on videos to do.
I reckon Peirson opens
How do you know Sutherland has a side strain
www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/cricket/australia-forced-to-change-fast-bowling-rotation-plans-after-injury-to-victorian-will-sutherland/news-story/6a670fb02f2df7a6826c13a91b55294f?amp&nk=2a3b4adbbbbb7a65ae58c586ce7cb8e5-1731054491
what do ya think of jafer chohan?
He looks good but doubt he gets a game and Sixers don’t have a double till round 3 so no need to think about him for a starter side
@@kybroome i reckon he gets a game with hosein out (replaced with i assume manenti who is in good form). but i do agree i could wait till round 3
Yep but Hossein will be bowling in the double and Sydney could also go down the route of an extra batter due to Edwards and Henriques being all rounders
There is no way you can cash gen in the first round - unless you want a poor score......none of the top players are going to generate you cash......
Cash generation can still happen especially from the Bowlers in the 80-130k bracket and also most of the cash generation actually occurs in rd 2 and 3 as players have really low BEs to generate cash from. Also if Maxwell goes large lets say there is still cash generation possible. Its the game of SC balancing scoring and cash generation
