Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 8 ส.ค. 2021
'Got Somme' is a podcast for wine lovers who know nothing about what's in the glass. The series will aim to educate listeners on types, tannins and taste to producers, appellations and age.
We speak to the best winemakers in the world finding out how they make the wine that has captured the attention of Master Sommelier Carlos Santos.
Carlos will aim to teach radio announcer and novice wine enthusiast Angus O'Loughlin how to discern a good wine from a bad and empower listeners with a skill set good enough to choose the table wine next time you have friends over.
Cheers 🍇

Well done guys, love your content and look forward to more of it in 2025. Cheers.
There is not a way to post a picture on this forum, but I'd like to send you a picture from our hallway. Of Trevallon's vineyard. A gift to me from my wife; many many many years ago. I will poke around and see if there's contact info or any other way of sending it. Keep up the great work.

Hello Clint, I hope this message finds you well. I came across your profile and was impressed by your video editing work. I'm looking for a professional editor for [briefly describe your project, e.g., "a short promotional video for my business" or "a TH-cam series"]. Could you please share your availability, rates, and any relevant samples of your work? Let me know if you'd like to discuss further details. Looking forward to hearing from you. [Gulshan mishra]
Must track down, thanks guys!!
I don’t know the wine from the bottle. Please say the wine otherwise your video and analysis is useless. I want education not click bait
It’s a moment from the full episode which is out now. Sparkling Shiraz
The way you put emphasis one the moment is really important ! The best wine you have are the wine you are sharing with the ppl you love.
So true! ❤️🍷
You guys are absolute legends! Saúde! 🥂
Thanks for coming along for the ride Dan
In January I had my first taste of Aligote. 1st one was from Terrason. Since then I have been seeking Aligote's and from the King Valley region and it has been sooooo hard to find! I have tried Sentio and they are goooood! But I still love Terrason's Aligote..... if you can get your hands on this....... try itz! I am a massive Chablis fan and Aligote's is definitely my wine of the year! That's a big deal cos I am from the Barossa region and love my big reds from the Barossa, McLaren Vale and the Coonawarra.
That's awesome! I'm always on the lookout for new wines to try.
So sad you can’t buy the aligoté or any other wine of theirs in europe:((
🥲
Great wine content as usual, minus the affected personalities of those other guys. Keep it up, guys, thank you
Haha I need more context here?

Great topic! Never understood why some people are so against sparkling red 🤷🏻 nothing better on a hot day with a bbq. Quite enjoy Mollydookers Miss Molly.
Another classic! Merry Xmas Carl
The Rockford Black Shiraz is the standard to which all others are measured. 👌 Glorious 🎉
Got my second bottle waiting for Xmas morning
I am in Perth WA, and drink it every year, we have Joseph 23 Disgorged and Corymbia 2010 ready for next week. Merry Xmas and keep the shows coming, love your content!! 🎄🎄🎄👏👏👏

I still like my flutes when drinking and tasting it with a burgundy glass
To each their own my man! However you enjoy it works for us
It’s been fun to watch your journey of learning about wine over the course of this podcast. You started off not really knowing much at all about wine and now you can blind taste a wine and accurately name the region and even vintage, something very few people in the world can do. Cheers!
This means a lot mate - thank you 🙏🏼❤️
Hi, can I get the link to the WSET course link mentioned?
Hey Maureen! I don’t know your location so googling WSET and finding your local team will be the best approach
@ Melbourne, but I’m assuming I can inquire directly via Carlos’ website, for this instance.
Wow shows his skill, picking that it should be cheaper and backing his palate
He has a ridiculous palate!! As you would expect but still shocks me some days
Nice! What’s with those glasses by the way? My wife and I are shopping for new all around tasting glasses but those ones look like they’ve got a gut hanging. Not the most elegant but I’m easily convinced if they’ll elevate the experience
They are Zieher and Denver and Liely l

Thank you legend! Tough bottle to find but very good when you do
That was just awesome guys 👏👏👏👏🍷🍷🍷🍷
Thank you mate! Loving watching you move through the episode
Relative to a white tasting, how about Chardonnay France v Nappa and or Aust - Yarra Valley v Margaret River v Beechworth or similar 😁
Could work! I think we will do a Chablis vs Chardonnay episode so could integrate these regions 👍🏼
What a great find, love your show guy's. Mates and me do similar tastings, albeit not on UTube. Will be following for sure!!! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
Glad you found us Steve! Hope you like the rest of our videos as much
Just garbage
Let’s see a Portuguese Arinto, Bical, Cercial or Encruzado
Well there’s NO CHANCE I’m guessing those myself but maybe a good test for the master
Absolutely smashed it!!! Man’s palate is on 🔥 👌🏻 Love how Carlos looks on like a proud Dad as you nailed those wines haha!!
Lucky to have the experience with the wines but I love this pump up brother! Thank you
Great work Angus! Well done not easy to blind taste. What about Carlos blind tasting next time?
We have a few episodes of him doing this on the channel. Expect more in 2025
