...looks like Ed's Ninco Calibra could do with 1 tooth less on the crown gear, it's way down on top end, you must have got bored waiting for it to get to the end of the straight...it's a 'steady Eddie' 😂

Audi RS5 - Looks like I need to go down at least 1 tooth on the spur, it's lacking a little top end speed - it was setup at 13.8V though so maybe in future we set the track at 12V as the majority of the Manx cars are lacking a little on the long straight.

I enjoyed the coverage as usual, some of those standard cars deserve a second look for anyone wanting a decent Saloon.

This is a fascinating video. I wish more teams would do this. Both the body and the chassis broke up pretty badly. As usual the race proved to be a challenge of survival. Now you know the strengths and weaknesses of the car do you continue with it or switch for next year?

Brilliant insight to the torcher that the slot cars go through in a 24hr race. I did watch most of it through Track Fans TV coverage and it looked epic 👍👍

Love the technical middle section. Love a bit of home running. I haven't upgraded from Scalextric track and probably won't anytime soon, it is all about fun at home. It just goes to show if Scalextric made minor changes to their cars then they would run, were talking decent tyres, better chassis and ability to add float.

@classic&Slotcar. 1 really like your plan and I also like your one man layout. Space is always is issue with raceways. I am planning for my winter project to tear my layout down and build a version of the Sazuka circuit utilizing Carrera track , however I also want to build either a Silverstone layout utilizing Scalextric or an imagined version of a Silverstone mixed with the racing circuit just outside of London with the high banked curve who’s name I now cannot remember. There is a museum there now. Plus I would like to build both Texas motor speedway and circut of the Americas as well as the old raceway in the Santa Monica mountains in CA. I have done all of the measurements and sadly I need a new house for any of that to happen so again for the winter project I’m thinking Sazuka. Space is always an issue and I really think you are utilizing everything quite well. I have an 18x20 (roughly) room in our home, called the “Car Room” and I’m always amazed at how what looks like a huge amount of space gets used up so quickly.

You can't ask for more than a cup of Earl Grey in a Batman mug and running slot cars, great fun! A nice blend of cars, all good in their own way. I have a ton of NSR cars, but no F1 cars, so I might have to get one. I have a few of the Scalextric Camaros, they run very nicely. I really like the Scalextric American muscle cars. I have an older Scalextric Porsche 959 that likes to roll on corners like your Capri lol. Cheers, thank you for the video!

Like what you have done with the foam interlocking tiles to create run-off/infield areas on your circuit. Please can you tell me what they are and where you got them? Would love to do the same. Thanks.

With that chassis and the G25 tires, is there enough height to go with a 0.5mm offset pod? Just ot get the magnetic effect of the motor closer to the rails.

I got one of these Red Pigs, and Im honestly surprised. Its not "much" worse than one of the classic Nascar cars. Its shorter than they are, not a lot heavier. I can do very consistent lap times with the Pig. Stock sanded tires so far.

What a belting car...not sure it'll compete with a SlotIt Opel but who knows! How wide is it across the tyre walls?

Excellent video! I want to do the same with my Mercedes, even the same printed chassis! It looks much better than the old chassis, that's for sure, and fairly simple to do. I also like that you can keep the lights if you choose. I just need to get a motor pod, axles and wheels (maybe find a donor Slot It car). Thank you for posting, give us another look when you've finished!
