Hey I Tried installing it and followed all steps with copying configuration over and activating VPN. it keeps timing out. is it possible that my company laptop is identifying and blocking VPN channels? I have Zscaler installed on the company laptop. I would like to schedule a consultation but I wanted to hear if there's a possibility it's being blocked in the first place , or is it no likely. Also is it possible that it's failing because I am trying to set up the VPN by connecting both devices to the same WiFi? . Thx

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to leave the gear in their parent's house. Aren't there any providers (hubs) one could rent a router & internet hosting from ??

Hey Rocky, I saw in the comments that you're now recommending the Flint 2 for future clients. Over the summer, you helped me set up my routers, and everything seems to be working fine so far. However, I'm wondering if I should upgrade from the regular Flint to the Flint 2. If I do, would that mean having to go through the entire VPN setup process again?

Do you recommend creating your own vpn or doing port forwarding? I work a customer service call center remote job.

Port forwarding seems like the way to go if you don't understand the risks you are taking. Vpns can be easily blocked or identified if a company takes security somewhat seriously.

yes they are disappearing and companies are doing strict checks making sure you not using a vpn and are in the united states before they offer you a job. 2021 to 2022 that wasn't the case it wasn't so FBI, as nobody was boasting on youtube about working overseas and using a vpn. 2024 more a less likely if they do remote they will send you equipment to test whether you are in that state and address. Or if they let you rarely use your equipment they will grill you and your computer for 45 minutes doing systems checks and vpn checks. Its not that easy dude as you think nowadays as the world has gone back to normal.
