A few years back I purchased a Typhon 6S and attempted to complete the “truggification” process that you put out a few videos on. All seem to go well accepted when it was completed I don’t have any steering. The servo seems to be working but wheels are not turning. When I manually turn the wheels you can see the servo moving. Do you think I need to upgrade the servo? Any other trouble shooting ideas? Thanks so much 🙏🏾

NICE!!! I see you rotated the kick start lever one spline to the right on the shaft, to the position it was actually designed, fits like it should. Yamaha has not done that for over 22 years now. The only reason why they go one spline to the left, is because the base of the kick starter can hit the clutch cover bolt boss. All we had to do was shave off about 1mm off the base, (I used a cutter in a Dremel type tool), and it clears. I have the Yamaha GYTR cover on my 2019 bike, and it is actually milled around that screw boss to a bit smaller diameter than the rest of the screw bosses on the clutch cover,--and that gave me about .010" clearance with out any cutting, but i gave it more clearance anyway. I can't believe how much better that area looks with the kick starter where it was designed, and I didn't really notice it until I put it together by mistake, one spline to the right. I hate to say it,----but Yamaha?, you don't even have to make a new casting mold for the kick start base, (modify the ones they use). That is just plain lazy. Doug in Michigan

Your son wanted nothing to do wirh being near that demon when it starts! Pretty common for kids to mistake an oncoming adrenaline kick for being a rush of fear!! 😂

To small main jet or restricted Cdi Box if you have one.

The most cool thing about a tri z a YZ cylinder goes on and you can get the exhaust valve to work and really do some damage to the other brands ,i kept that magazin forever that went through the conversion

Hey James, thanks for commenting so one thing that I think could be happening is that your pilot jet is dirty. These bikes have some of the tiniest holes in the pilot yet that I’ve ever seen lotta people think they’re clean, but unless you can stick a tiny tiny tiny piece of wire all the way through it and see it come out the other side it’s not clean. That will make it very hard to start and it won’t run right at lower rpm. I got a kit on Amazon for carburetor cleaner, wires, and it was probably about eight bucks but you can absolutely make sure that pilot jet is clean and they should run much better and start easily. For years I had to push start my black one until I clean the pilot yet and now it starts first kick. Almost every time. Let me know if this helps.

Nice I love those bikes . I owned a 1983 model back in the day . I have three 1988 DTs now in California. All in original minty condition . Two white and one blue . The only problem I have is the carburetors. are not happy . Won't idle or run right . Wish I knew how to fix them

Make videos with 440 it’s really my favorite 2-stroke. I regret selling mine. Best icetrack bike. There is not many of them in Finland but if i find one i keep it.

Found that the h6m bulb from my blaster fits the aftermarket dt50 headlight. Wonder if a led h6m bulb might not tax my eletrical system as much as the 35/35watt blaster bulb does.lol
