Hey! It’s not really realistic but not impossible. If you were wanting to live in student accommodation you would have to book private so that means companies that work with the uni to provide accommodation but aren’t directly affiliated with the university. I was in a private accommodation in my first year owned and run by Unite Students but I was allocated there by the university. I met other students there who were second, third, fourth year etc who had all applied directly. Uni accommodation itself will likely be full. I hope that helps!

thanks for your comment <3 i have recently been diagnosed with adhd so hopefully i can work through this now. it’s the whole reason i stopped posting in the first place and i’m now too overwhelmed to start posting again! if i ever make it back i hope to explain all that. thanks again and I’m glad you’re getting help!

@@taylorskrrrt huh... ironically I think I have ADHD. I told my psychologist the same because I kept identifying with people, particularly women, online who got diagnosed with ADHD as adults. And the trajectory of my behaviour is eerily similar to other people in academia who got an ADHD diagnosis during higher education. Glad you at least discovered it. Knowing is better. I hope you're doing well.

So in second year you can technically stay in uni accommodation (I think only ones not owned by the uni though) but most people choose to move out. You can also live alone but most people do move into houses together. I don't know if it is cheaper but I suppose it depends what you find! Hope this helps!

@@sidnotthesloth I would personally recommend moving in with other people at uni. Living alone can be fun but at uni it could be extremely isolating. Living with your friends means there’s always people to go do things with, there’s a support group right there if you need it, and there’s people to help you out with adult stuff like bills so you can share that stress between you!

eugh nothing worse than when they change the formats! try using the website ‘cite this for me’ to help you with your references!

i’m not sure about later applicants but the requirements they put on the UCAS website are always their standard requirement but upon offering you a position they might ask for different grades like AAB or even an unconditional offer. I didn’t make the grades I needed for Exeter but because I got an A in what I was going to study (and because they liked my interview) they accepted me anyway. It is not at all uncommon to miss the mark and still get in. That does not of course mean you should stop working but just don’t over stress about it!

@@taylorskrrrt I want to do psychology in Exeter and it said AAA but if I get like biology a A or A* then do you think that would be alright. What do you mean about your subject you got an A so they accepted you. May you extend more on that. Sorry if I’m not making any sense

@@dyane4720 hey i mean i didn’t make the grades they asked for but because i got a high grade in drama at a-level and i wanted to study drama at uni they still let me in. i’m sure it would work in the same way for you but i obviously can’t promise anything

@@Dirtyvinyl23 no worries! for this assignment I received a 64 as my grade which is a 2:1 and that's pretty good but not amazing so a B or C ish grade equivalent. I have done all nighters for about 90% of my assignments for my degree and they've all turned out alright! I just work well under pressure. I did another allnighter video on my channel if you want to check it out !

I remember doing one and I thought that I was going to mess my underpants because I was so stressed out and felt so overwhelmed by it all! preparing yourself to realise ahaha love that! You've got this! Go to a study session with a friend or family member or something to keep you accountable and try to tick one thing off the list. Not necessarily a whole assignment but something. For example, break down your 7 assignments into to do lists and tick one thing off of there (like read the task outline) and then do another small tick and the next thing you know you're making a little progress towards a big goal! Do a little bit everyday and if you miss a day do double tomorrow. Then when one assignment is done give it a huge tick and that's serotonin baby. You've got this!

@@taylorskrrrt Thank you, I've since gotten my first assignment done but my second assignment is really making me shriek internally with how hard it is to understand, not to mention I get extremely distracted

@@ZerodragYT well done for getting the first one done! Is there any way you can speak to a teacher/tutor or someone in your class to help explain what you’re struggling with? I find often talking about my assignment and what I want to say often reveals that I understand more than I thought I did and that I have a lot of ideas (make sure you record this convo - with permission of course - or write down your points straight after)

​@@taylorskrrrt I normally email my lecturers for help and feedback in case i'm really struggling with an essay or if something is wrong with a near finalised draft. I do feel like i need to explain it a lot more to them just in case i'm on the right track. Also currently dont have anyone in my class to talk to atm, i'm stuck repeating the remainder of the semester because of financial issues. However now that you mention it I feel like reaching out to at least one person and talk about those specific assignments.

don't panic! get started asap and make small deadlines to hit for every couple hours of work you do - i would send them to my mum like i was trying to write 300w in an hour and at the end of the hour if i hadn't sent her something she would push me to work harder! don't worry about producing something amazing just get your points down even if the work looks like you've stuck a load of bullet points together and then when the deadline comes you have something to hand in. Then if you still have time you can go back in and improve the work by making it flow better, adding extra reasoning or evidence when required. Don't try to get it perfect first time because you will get a better grade for a badly put together but complete assignment than you will for an excellent introduction and nothing else. Good luck!!
