If it's free it's for me! I installed the wrong bumper on my truck.
Hey everyone in todays video Jason is moving along on his 1994 @Dodge Dakota. The rear bumper on his truck is looking a little worn down after 30 years of use. A generous donation of a basically new bumper (1997-2004 Dakota) was given to Jason to help make this Dakota little bit nicer looking. The bumper lined up perfectly and 2 additional holes needed to be drilled in the bumper to align with the older trucks frame. Taking it a step further Jason took the diagonal brackets chopped them down and welded them using a @eastwoodco MIG 175 welder. In a matter of just a couple hours the back of the truck looks much better and didn't cost a penny!

Lift tables for the win, however i wouldn't waste the $ on a h.f. table. Yeah, other lifts are more expensive but the stability, speed, quality, and saftey are worth it. If your going to invest in a lift that takes up so much space, you should get a quality unit.

The lift pedal is removable as is the lowering pedal and the lowering pedal is also shielded so you can't stand on it accidentally. Hi. Great helpful vid. Question... You show the chrome headlight bracket bolting on to the lower tree through the two front holes. Aren't those holes also for tightening the tree to the forks or dual purpose? Wondering cuz I thought to see a torque wrench used. I am piecing a build together and guess I need a headlight bracket to go under the two bolts I just installed which I thought had sole purpose of squeezing the tree slots closed around the fork tube....

A chopper is a type of custom motorcycle which emerged in the US state of California in the late 1950s. A chopper employs modified steering angles and lengthened forks for a stretched-out appearance. They can be built from an original motorcycle which is modified ("chopped") or built from scratch. Some of the characteristic features of choppers are long front ends with extended forks often coupled with an increased rake angle, hardtail frames (frames without rear suspension), very tall "ape hanger" or very short "drag" handlebars, lengthened or stretched frames, and larger than stock front wheel. To be considered a chopper a motorcycle frame must be cut and welded at some point. I.e. the name chopper. The sissy bar, a set of tubes that connect the rear fender with the frame, and which are often extended several feet high, is a signature feature on many choppers.

Yes, there is. In order for a motorcycle to be a chopper, the frame must have been cut and significantly altered from the factory form. Hardtailing a swingarm frame or raking the neck for examples. A Bobber has had factory installed components removed and not replaced to reduce weight.

Bobber my personal favorite, is a sub category of chopper. Some things have usually been chopped. Chopper, in my opinion is referring to the rake, fork length. Stock fork length or under , again my preference, is a bobber. The bobbers from the 50s and 60s are just perfect to me. It's a long discussion, with many opinions. Good topic.

@@laurentruesdale4088 The term Bobber predates the term Chopper. Choppers, by definition, were being created almost from the beginning of mass motorcycle production, but the term is post WWII, as is Bobber. Bobber is the term used to describe surplus motorcycles after WWII that had all of the non essential equipment removed to make them go faster. Chopper is the term used in reference to motorcycles that had their frames cut to make performance modifications. Later, the term was applied to motorcycles that had been cut to make styling modifications. The two terms have morphed over time to refer to a style rather than to performance mods.
