What was the total cost of the operation?
Can't remember how much we paid for the parts obviously I get trade prices. The labour would depend on where you go.
What was the mileage of the car and what caused the issue? I also have the 1.0 155 (M0DC) with automatic gearbox and I change the oil at 15k km, not at 30k km, as recommended by Ford, with genuine 5w20 Ford spec oil (Castrol).
Mileage was 47,000, full dealership history. Oil Pump Wet Belt ripped all the teeth. Stupid design they updated the timing to a chain but kept the oil pump with a wet belt. Would have been better to run the oil pump from a chain also.
@@ionutoanca I know a few people who have a manual transmission. They don't have a balance shaft and belt tensioner. The belt in a manual transmission is not damaged. It's not exposed to that much load. That's why I'm looking for whether the 7dct300 transmission has a balance shaft or not?
I have seen a few manual ones do the same thing. But for some strange reason on auto's the belt goes more than the pump. But on the manuals the pump fails and the belt lasts longer.
@@JDTAuto Yes. It’s very strange.
@@JDTAuto the management saved 1 euro per piece
1:54 Hi! What type is the automatic transmission? I have 1.0 hybrid 155le engine (M0DC). The transmission is 7dct300. Just thinking about the balance shaft. Is the 7dct300 have it or not?
This one has the 8 Speed Auto. The one your car has is the 7 speed dual clutch. So to be honest I am not sure. I know the manuals do not have the "balance shaft". But for the dual clutch gearboxes I don't know. I can check on my workshop data system for you. If I find anything I will update this. One way to check is to put your reg in a parts site and see what oil pump they recomment is compatible (but this option is not always 100% accurate).
Yes, the manual doesn't mention the balance shaft. It only mention the type of transmission. I thought about looking on the part sites too. Thanks for looking in your database.
Have searched everywhere I could without your exact car details I can't pinpoint. But I have seen 3 versions being sold for the hybrid.
@@JDTAuto Thank you looking after it. What kind of details do you need? Or what these 3 versions?
Would need the reg no. But you cannot give this information out. Maybe ring ford ask for a quote for some work. Sometimes they put the part no.s on the quotes. Or if you do your own servicing whip the sump off when you do the oil change next?.

10 Months Later and The Laces Have Broken
The same rotor I tried to take off was so badly stuck. How can I take it off? I tried with an hummer but no luck
How big and what type of hammer did you try. Have you tried spraying it from behind or through the holes with something like duck oil. You could try heating it up a little. Is there room to use a puller?
@@JDTAuto Normal hammer. I didn't put anything. As per the heat I can only use lighter😂 I decided to do things by myself cause the mechanics don't even put grease on brake pads not to speak for cleaning or other. They made me replace the front wheel brake pads 3 times in a year while the back wheels brake pads where the cause of the noises🤬🤬I already did replace successfully 3 of my rotors but unfortunately and strangely the last one is stuck badly. Hopefully I will unscrew the bracket or whatever you call it and as you advised me I will put some wd40 and try to hammer it from behind or will use a bolt to distance it. Wish me luck🤞🙏thanks🙃
Just use a 3lb Lump hammer, or Deadblow Hammer, should come off. To be honest I have never had a Disc that stuck before big hammer always does the trick. Yeah there are a few garages/mechanics that rush everything or just want to make quick money. Well done for giving it ago yourself. Good luck with the job.
@@JDTAuto 🙏 thank you very much🙏
Doesn't this unit print out a paper for customer?
Yes it does
Yeah no signal
Low tyre pressure, not signal issue
Iat 150 degrees
Filthy aswell
Where is full video of removal
I didn't make a full video, because the chain had snapped it could just be unbolted and dropped down, if the chain is intact (not 100% sure) but I think the gearbox has to come off in order to take chain off the oil pump, maybe you can push the chain tensioner enough to get the chain off the oil pump sprocket without taking the gearbox out.
I did a clutch and clutch plate in a 1972 GMC 3 speed truck and literally lift the transmission out and put it on my chest and slit it out because it's so light
Theres a few gearboxes that are suprisingly light, I know on a few older cars you can change the clutch without removing the gearbox
Would have been so much better to show what, how which to get them restored. But instead you showed them dirty and cut to clean. How great are you??????
It was just a quick short This is one I made the other week showing what paper I use for wet sanding, I also use G3 cutting compound polish th-cam.com/users/shortsDPixueOciwU?feature=share You can see the polish applied on the headlight, I will take your comments on board if more people want to see more of a how to style then I can do that

How hard was it to remove the sump
Not too bad, the sealant/gasket is very strong, just need something thin enough to put in between the sump and crankcase and do it gently and ease around the edges and comes away ok
@@JDTAuto perfect thank you
Thx
Glad it helped you
Why if not active on duty or event wear the uniform.
??
do you need to drain the coolant first?
You can do, to be honest I didn't, and it didn't drop much coolant, if you are quick taking the coolant pipe off and you face it upwards it is then higher than the expansion tank so coolant tends not to pour out, you will loose some when taking the sensor out, if the engine is cold its better.
@@JDTAuto thanks for your quick reply! I need to replace mine soon too, this video helps me a lot
Good Luck
