In retrospect, what I've observed from these '98 shows as opposed to '95 is Plant has really refined his approach to these songs: he works with what his voice is and avoids pushing against what it's not, and really parts in far more consistent and enjoyable performances of them. And it seemed like once he got to that point, he was ready to move on and continue experimenting musically.

No histrionics from Peter Alliss. Explains to the viewer exactly what the putt means, then simply says "look at this" when it's five feet from the hole, then lets the pictures and sounds do the talking for him. He knows there's nothing he can say that can add to the drama. Love the shocked reaction of Alex Hay in the background too. Both broadcasting titans much missed.
