It's more than most that Heilung gives recognition to the original owners of the land. But from a purely selfish perspective, I just wish there was a little more of their involvement in the opening ceremony. I clicked this video hoping for a Heilung haka...perhaps not now, but I hope it happens one day. It's only exists in my imagination at present, but I'll be sure to be there when it happens. When i do any blessings of hammers, oath rings, etc. I usually do them when conducting a coming of age ceremony, or if someone makes an oath to the kindred or community. And that would usually be done with mead i brewed and have blessed by the Gods during the ritual.

04:10 - Maybe we should switch all our seasonal holidays to the opposite six months of the year from where they are down here, haha! Christmas on June 25th, Halloween on April 31st, Easter sometime in September or October. Anyway, I usually watch either The Thing or Sleepy Hollow on Halloween, although I've lost my Sleepy Hollow DVD and it doesn't seem to be on streaming services. So The Thing on DVD it is.

As a 15yr Heathen it is a sacred symbol. It is a connection to the ancestors whome I call upon, it is a connection to my path which is a way of being. A reminder to all of the complexities it is to live and breathe being a Heathen and strive to do and be better. To be honest, blunt, mean well, fully embody Frith and challenge those around to do the same (even if they are baby steps for them). It may not be accurate but I go by the moon phases and the weather in my area we have long summers and long winters short springs and short autum so I start with the first full moon in October as the first day of winter then 3 full moons or 3 months basically Dec is when I celebrate yule mid December or end of December for 3 days I celebrate yule then in the first full moon of towards summer I celebrate sigurblot I don't know if that's correct or not.

There is NO WAY anybody can observe such a scenario and make such a mytheme. A wheel is a symbol of a "rotation around its center" and the ONLY possibility of observing this scenario in nature, is to study the Earth´s celestial axis an its motions. And THEN we get the natural explanation, namely the celestial center around which stars. star constellations, and the contours of the Milky Way are revolving. Then the natural mytheme is: A POLAR WHEEL seemingly pulled around by star constellations of Ursa Minor or Ursa Major. If speaking of a "ship", the crescent vaulting Milky Way figure very easily can be stylized and depicted as a ship "sailing" around this celestial Wheel.
