Dude I've in the country. Close to a tourist trap. Every year different organizations go along g the roads and pick up trash from the city slickers pitching out the window there not shy about. All our area clean as a Whistle until spring and here comes the trash.Cops should start arresting litter bugs. Nice boost of income.

Over the last 10 years I've had to live in my car for 3 the more backwoods you go the more weird people will get I've had Walmart staff try to smash my windshield for sleeping over nite before work.

I'm an old, retired truck driver, so things were much different back then. We took care of each other, we took care of our parking areas, we took care of rest stops and truck stops .... and now, you've got to ASK these idiot drivers to AT LEAST throw their trash and empty bottles full of urine in a TRASH CAN ?? Hell, if nothing else, leave it in your truck until you do stop at an area with TRASH CANS and then throw it all away. There is nothing wrong with throwing a full bottle of urine away in a proper trash can. Are these ignorant drivers REALLY that LAZY ?? I guess Grandpa was right ... "world's goin' to hell in a handbasket".

Dude,...you're asking too much. I've seen old guys like you urinating at the fuel island, I've seen young guys as well. Walmart used to allow parking, here's why they don't now. 1.Waste poo bags, urine bottles, bags of trash left in shopping carts, DEF canisters as well. 2.Drivers who run over the landscaping. 3.Drivers who idle and have loud refers. 4.Drivers who try to park as close to the store entrance as they can (lazy, lazy). 5.Drivers who park their 80,000lb rig and destroy the parking surface. It's not bad enough that when I have to crawl under my truck at a rest area, or truck stop that it stinks of hot urine, but now some of the Walmart's do as well. I have a relationship with the 6 Walmart's that I use on a daily basis (I only haul 8,000lbs of freight). I get out of my truck and walk around the parking lot to pick up trash on a daily basis (looks like it wouldn't kill you to get out and move a bit as well), I have a super quiet genset, and I park as far away from the store as I can. So being probably only a couple of years older than me....good luck with your trucking job.

If you look at who’s driving OTR for the most part are people from India and foreign country’s where trash is commonly thrown in the streets. Obama said he was going to “ fundamentally changing America.” Since I believe he is still running the show behind the scenes, with open borders, and free money to foreigners who get into trucking, and the ELD mandate years ago. That took the American trucker off the OTR truck, and put himself in a day cab truck is the biggest reason we have foreigners who don’t respect our country in these trucks today! Basically once again government created this big mess!

Totally agree with sir,The laziness of some of these so called steering wheel holders nowadays!Their no reason for throwing your piss bottles out anywhere or trash!Especially at the truckstops!Its freaking disgusting to see piss bottles and trash the next morning all the truck parking lot!Its no wonder their charging truckers to park.Trucking isnt the same as it use to be back in the 70's,80's and 90's anymore when i was driving.🤷‍♂️ Have a safe and blessed day driver.

I don't even count them anymore. When I first started driving I used to worry about that every trip. But it was too depressing so I stopped countingʻ.

You have only scratched the surface of why truckers are not welcome in so many places. Here is my list. Noise. Drivers going too fast across parking lots so that they can make a lot of noise with their engine brakes every time they take their foot off the fuel. Add to that straight pipes that add to the noise. Pollution. How many drivers idle up the engine to run the heat or air conditioning - when it is not needed or justified. On a nice and otherwise quiet night, when people like to open their windows and enjoy the fresh air, here is a big truck running his engine at fast idle filling the air with diesel smoke and NOISE!!! Then there is the trash. Go to ANY truck stop. Back into a parking spot. Now, walk to the back of the truck. It looks like a landfill with all of the trash all over the ground. Truck stop owners have to pay somebody to clean up that mess. The same at any Wal-Mart parking lot. As a retired trucker, I have seen all of this first hand, and believe me, I would not want truckers anywhere near my property behaving like that. They make themselves unwelcome.

Yes sir that’s what I do. I got a couple urinals off Amazon and what I do with mine I empty them in the grass or down the storm drain and I put a little bit of mouthwash inside the urinal keeps it fresh and keeps the germs down I do have a puppy that rides with me so I will throw a dirty puppy pad in a trash bag outside my door in the middle of the night but I make sure when I get up I pick everything up with Rubber gloves and throw it in the can where belongs. good deal, sir. I appreciate it passing on some good knowledge to the young ones. and some old ones.

I drove a NYC cab back in the day. The old timers used to carry a bottle. I knew all the city parks that had open toilets instead. Not all of them were open.

No respect

I hate to tell people this, but it’s not just Gen xyza. It’s something that’s being done by every generation from boomers to today’s kids who will be tomorrow’s adults. It’s being done by smokers, people who drink alcohol to the one’s that buy out of the deli or Micky D’s, it’s just people who have the mind set that it’s OK someone else will clean it up because it’s part of their job and not my responsibility. Then you have created a problem for me as a business owner where I now have to deal with stray’s and wild animals that carry rabies, that are now approaching customers and biting them. And where I have to pay a fine that I now have to pass on to all of my customers or shut down, all because you won’t take a few steps over to the dumpster to drop your trash into.

Would do that, normally would get some Fabuloso / water mix at the bottom so it wouldn't stink up the place. Drain out towards the woods or some Oboy, and reuse. This one rare walmart that had truck parking recently removed it. People are just nasty, and because of them, they ruin it for everyone.

Paid for miles is determined in a number of ways by the carrier... Before the GPS, poor directions From the dispatch caused a lot of out of route miles... That the carrier is not going to pay the driver.

This problem started when the foreign drivers were welcomed into this country by Bill Clinton. There was no problem prior. I have been out here since 1970. We used to be able yo park almost anywhere. The American drivers(new generation) saw what was happening, saw the problem, and added to it. This is a disgrace and it's getting worse. Their bad habits have ruined it for the rest of us! I am retiring end of this year. Enough is enough!

I find the gallon oil containers to be perfect to use after oil has gone in truck. They usually have a small opaque level reader on the side. Squirt in a fair amount of bleach based toilet cleaner and leave it in there. Just don't grab the wrong one when the crank case needs topping off.

The younger generation was told to many times that they were 'SpEcIaL'. They were never made to be responsible for anything, They were never explained that they are responsible for their actions. Never made to do chores. It was never explained the world owes them nothing, To well fed and entertained from the time they popped out. Here’s a quick tip. Watch the second to last The Grand Tour where they follow the old Dakar 1000 race route. You see in those cities trash piled everywhere. Nobody cares. Plastic bottles by the thousands everywhere. Now go to most truck stops, rest areas and places like the parking areas on I-80 in Wyoming. Trash everywhere just like in that show. Finally look at the large number of immigrant drivers we have now. There’s your answer as to where does it come from.

Seriously? Walking through the parking lot of ANY Walmart is like visiting a trash heap in a third world country and it ain’t the truckers who are doing it either.
