Yeah.i aways watch it when it's on tele. Classic 👍👍
I took my then 12 yr old brother to see this in the multiplex. As 12 yr old boys tend to be, he wasn't impressed with much. This movie broke that mold, we kept talkin about it all the way home.
That's a really cool memory to have! And probably the perfect age to see The Fog
Can’t believe I haven’t seen this I love John Carpenter great video
Thanks so much! You'll have to check out The Fog, it's really a great old Carpenter flick
This was one of the first videos I rented with my mom. I was 7 and I believe it was just after it came out. She watched for a bit then locked all the windows and doors. Then couldn’t watch anymore. Needless to say. This movie was a huge influence on with my interest in horror.
That's a great story!
Classic !
I had to turn it off it was that bad
I wasn't quite that low on it, but I definitely get that
Just watched it after reading the summary....The Babadook did this theme a lot better
It's basically ET if ET was creepy, I think the film is more about loneliness than grief the creature (alien) is lost and alone and just wants company . It doesn't deliberately hurt anyone yes it kills the dog but the dog attacked it first. the guy fell running away and even when it's being stabbed it said let me go Laura and runs away. It's creepy expression is the dads face from the photo and it's only reference. It probably goes for the boy because he would seem the least threatening. I ended up feeling pretty sorry for the beastie he just wanted a friend but ended up dieing alone
This is a really great take, that really bums me out for the poor creature
Just watched this one tonight and I genuinely thought it was creepy. The tension build up was solid I wish they had developed Darcy just a bit more. It’s kinda just like they have her tell a lot and it moves rather quickly after the climax overall still fun!
I liked how the ending shows that her fiancé was the guy from the first! That’s why I’m thinking there’s gotta be a third possibly.
I'm 100% down for a Platform 3
dream girl was bad for me, the first 5 minutes were kinda wasted and the ai demon is kinda overuse in my opinion, they should've just kept it more towards exploring aliens. fur babies was 2nd worst
I'd be into an "all aliens" V/H/S entry. I feel like a time travel segment would have worked for Beyond too. Maybe next time!
@@WatchWithCTthat is true time travel would’ve been dope
Versus is so good! I love the fight choreography.
I always knew you were a man of great tastes!
@@WatchWithCTI forgot about this one - absolute classic
You had me until Skinamarink ughh
Glad I watched it the one time, but I doubt I'll ever give it a rewatch
Steffen and Flip are legends here in Holland. I'm glad their insanety has translated well across the boarder. anybody interested in how these not jobs rose to prominance, they where 2 completely of the rails participants on a Dutch MTV show called the trip.
I wish more of their stuff was easier to watch over here, those dudes seem wild!
Was more of a drama than a horror that thing was freaky but they didnt do enough with it and that woman was super unlikable
Gonna check this out doesnt seem to turn into a love story or just a drama like a lot of modern horror really sick of that.
Hey CT! Really love your videos. I think you’ve sold me on giving this one a watch. One thing I’d recommend for your videos: when giving a spoiler alert I think you could add a “skip ahead to *this* time mark” or something like that to avoid spoiler talk. So people can still see your conclusion while skipping the spoilers
Thanks, I hope you enjoy it! Appreciate the feedback, too! I try to make sure there's chapters, but I always forget to let everyone know you can skip over the spoilers and right to the rating chapter. Gotta make sure I start working that in
Watch kalki movie 👍
With that title, I expected more from this movie. I found it a dull and frustrating retread of The Babadook, plus, really one note and unlikable main characters. The only thing I kinda liked, was how firmly they established it was definitely a physical monster, not a metaphor. Though that added nothing to the story.
Besides RRR , also watch “URI”…. RRR is Telugu language movie and URI is a Hindi movie…that wowed viewers around the World and a lot of Americans fan base. Both excellent action flicks…. And oh Indian Cinema in the 70s had a lot of influence from American Spaghetti Westerns.
Surely #KILL is a SURPRISE HIT that finally released commercially after it has been going around in global Film Festivals for sometime! Awesome DEBUT for Lakshya. Great nemesis, Raghav! You read my mind with the two INSANE scenes from the movie, they were jaw-dropping and clap-worthy! This has so much going for it, just like #DieHard or #JohnWick So hoping for a SEQUEL, probably one of the bandit's MENACING brother/son/daughter wants revenge! [writers! get creative!] #iamwaiting #DharmaProductions #ActionHero

I wasnt into furbabies either. It just seemed cruel for the sake of cruel. but man, stowaway was great. Great atmosphere and the heinous ending made sense. I think it showed just enough to get a good idea and it lets your imagination decide how much she changed and suffered. She definitely got one of the worse endings in vhs history which is saying something.
I'm coming around to a similar opinion on Stowaway since I've had a few days to think about it. Complete nightmare scenario for sure!
Go Phillies! 🔔
Bats went cold again...always next year, though!
Blasphemous? Lol, are we living in medieval times?
My love of dated language knows no bounds!
Oh does alien count as a siege film?
I was thinking of Alien (and movies like it) when making up my siege rules, and it's definitely a close cousin of the siege film. I usually think of sieges having the threat coming from outside, and in Alien they're all stuck inside with the monster. What would we call these? "Trapped with a Monster movie" doesn't quite roll off the tongue like "Siege film". Either way, I love movies where a group of people are stuck somewhere whether the threat is inside or outside.
This film is so amazing! I saw film copy at Alamo drafthouse.
That's awesome! I'd love to see this one on the big screen at some point
Damn you got yourself another subscriber!!!
Welcome to the party, hope you enjoy your time!
Love the intro theme! Reminds me of a carpenter soundtrack!!! Bravo!
Ah, thanks so much! He's a hero of mine, so that's high praise for me
I agree I didn’t like fur babies much either. Too much like tusk.
By far the best is stowaway! Love cosmic horror slow burns. Most ambitious is live and let dive. If they had more of a budget could have been the best VHS segment of all time. Worst is the wraparound. Still liked it but not as good as the rest.
I want to see where she ends up in Stowaway, what sort of crazy stuff those nanobots did to her during reconstruction, and how the aliens react to her existence! It's a great segment to get the imagination going
IT WAS AWESOME,I didnt really like Fur Babies dont feel like it fit well, was still desent tho,Great review
Thanks, man! Fur Babies felt out of place to me too. It's technically sci-fi, but if I'm being picky, I feel like we could have used a time travel segment
Brothomstates. Good choice.
Starry eyes was what they called me in prison
it was my nickname in elementary school.
Dude looks like a young uncle Jack Kelly from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Hey man, stop staring at my hands
Stronger points
Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out. On a side note, just finished the Salem's Lot remake on HBO and was pleasantly surprised at it. With the exception of the ending I enjoyed it more than the 1979 version.
Ah I cancelled Max a while back after Zaslav did something else that ticked me off. I may have to find a way to see Salem's Lot though. Loved the novel when I read it years ago.
@@WatchWithCT Same, I read the book back in the early 90's when my horror fixation started to kick in. Those were the days of watching Nightmare on Elm Street on HBO late night while the parentals slept. No spoilers, but the remake has a visual element taken from the book that was never added to the older movies and will bring a nice smile to your face. Enjoy brother.
I did like this movie but it had a couple things that didn't make sense to me I almost think they intentionally put things in like that for people to argue about
I think Damien McCarthy can be a little bit unforgiving with how he gives out information in his movies, to the point that missing line could be detrimental to knowing what's going on.
great video!! What is the background music?
Thanks so much! I don't have a name for the song, but I named the file "Synthy Jam", so let's go with that. It's basically the result of my playing around in Garage Band for a day and trying to make something work.
Have you seen The Substance yet? It’s not for the faint of heart
Haven't managed to see it yet, but hopefully this weekend!
@@WatchWithCT awesome stuff, if you don’t make a vid on it you’ll have to let me know here…but I feel like you’ll want to make one. It’s uh…unforgettable
Stellar video 💪
Thanks so much!
Love this video! Just started subscribing. Halloween gave me numerous nightmares, as a kid, and her I am sever years later, in my mid 40s still a Myers/Carpenter fiend!
I watched it about 2 weeks back. It's a pretty darkly dreadful movie. It's a little slow in parts, but I love the payoff at the end. And you are 100% right with the beginning. That starting act is something else you just can't stop watching
Unique Indian Horror: Tumbbad blends Indian mythology with horror, offering a fresh and eerie story about an ancient, forgotten god-perfect for Halloween. Best of luck🍀 for TH-cam Journey
Thanks for the well wishes! I'm hoping Tumbbad hits one of my streaming services soon, it looks great
It was released in Indian theaters this year due to public demand and became a hit! 🔥
Your really under rated keep it up
Thanks, will do!
And killing his girlfriend made Armit start killing, since he didn’t want to kill them in the beginning, just incapacitate them. Anyways, I would recommend Malayalam movies (Mollywood) of recent years, just for fun.
Next review the greatest of all time
