I wish I can buy this game

Got a bit sceptical at first when you started with Alien Storm and Mystic Defender (good games but both feel kinda old today and have some early title symptoms imho) but this is really solid list overall with a real nice mix of classics and hidden gems. If I was stuck on a deserted Island and could pick 10 of these to bring with me, i wouldn't complain. Would have added the Rolling Thunder games (2 for coop, 3 for single player) Atomic Runner and King Colossus as some great but easily overlooked games.

I was 12 in 1992 when I got my SEGA Genesis bundled with Streets of Rage 2, always been a SEGA fan up to this day. Thanks for the recommendations sometimes I get lost in what new games to play considering we have access to every single Genesis MegaDrive ever made worldwide.

I just purchased blazblue on steams black friday sale. My only issue is finding some one on my level. I played a match online and got stomped by a susano player, he washed me up so bad he didnt even want to rematch me😅. Is there a discord i can join to find other players. Also can u recommend a top hibiki player or guide i can watch for some tech. Ty

Great video, awesome selection! You even got my favorite Genesis game, Ranger-X, which also happens to be one of the most beautiful games in the console, with a very interesting art style.

Gleylancer was an immediate fave, it hits the ground running and never lets up on quality. This is a great list and I've saved it to watch again

1st of all, Columns is my absolute favorite puzzle game. Idk how but I was *dirty* at this game. I beat all my friends in vs mode and I got such crazy high scores. I loved this game: SO FUN! Also, I too enjoy Venus letting you know that her beam is in fact a beam. Every. Single. Time.

Beyond Oasis, Haunting starring Polterguy, X-Men 2, Comix Zone, Cyborg Justice, NBA Jams & Streets of Rage 2 are my absolute favorites on the Genesis

Thanks for the reminder of Alien Storm, totally forgot about that one. It’s so fun and unique, really did the alien type graphics great. Cyborg Justice is one I’ll add, it’s a battle genre game like mortal combat but you get to build your characters. Seems like a similar world to Alien Storm so possible the same creators.

Dw8 complete is peak gameplay for the series. Dw origins is out now and it really is something but not what dynasty warriors fans wanted. Don't get me wrong it is a great game just not what made the series great.

Poor Vectorman didn't even get a mention.

i would add Castlevania Bloodlines and ToeJam and Earl 1 and 2 basically my Childhood age 10 to 14. and Sonic 2.

I played Gunstar Heroes a lot it had a Similar Game on the N 64 called Mischief Makers Loved them both.

Glad to see some Genesis RPGs get some love. SNES gets a lot of a love, and understandably so, but some of the best 16 bit experiences are on Genesis.

Dragon's Revenge is a great pinball game on Genesis. The Immortal also rules if you can really sit down with it and engage with it on its terms.

I wouldn't want the Japanese voice acting, because the English voice acting is great in a 'so bad it's good' way.

I liked the characters, story and music. Litteraly one of the best ost's there are, and I got alot of inspiration for my own FG. But I did not liked how the game plays in 2024, every player is like 1000+ matches played, and my win is just to stomp their ass atleast once :D

in Tekken 8 i take salt and sad even after wining but in Blazblue i can lose but still have fun cause im playing cool big demonic monke(Susanoo) and yeah actually have fun and i see my trainings help me get better in the actual game(in Tekken 8 i spen alot of time in training and achieve nothing cause, game broken shit with broken characters)

I was really used to how 7 did things so getting this massive pile of repeat weapons early on and trying to engage with the loot system kind of put me off early on. I should try this game out again. Also i don't really know how much I like the 3 point system I think it's kind of odd

I love BB and all, but it is literally not possible to break into the multiplayer at this point. Unless you have a friend already into it that is willing to take the time to mentor you and share the oral tradition then give up. After years of casually playing these games single player and firing myself up to make attempts at multiplayer now and then, I was eventually able to get a basic gameplan down where I can beat a goldfish that doesn't know how to fight back. (Also pretty good against AI so that's fun I guess) This hasn't helped even 1% against experienced players as they are so much better than me in every "stat" that I don't even understand what I need to improve or how I would even going about solving a problem if I did know what needed to be fixed. (dustloop is barren outside of frame data and combos. A simple, hey question of "Hey, what is he actually doing with this mixup and how do I defend against it?" is literally not possible to answer outside of just knowing somebody in the know, recording footage to show them, and having them explain it. The game's been out for ages. This should be solved by now) The other tragedy? I'm now too good to play with actual new players. If they don't know what they're doing I can reliably loop pressure that they don't know how to defend against. I now can't even enjoy the odd new player I come across anymore because it just feels like bullying and I want to stop. Unless I find that occasional unicorn that's on a similar level to me then a game isn't even being played. I think this game would be the best fighting game around if it had the population to support all skill levels, but I just don't see the game getting a spike of a couple thousand concurrent players to support a real playerbase. (I have gripes with the awful ranked system as well where I think it would be hard to find someone on a similar level to you even with a real pop, but that's not even a relevant conversation at this point)

I actually own two copies of this game on 360... I initially bought it blind and was absolutely blown away by it, so I purchased another copy just in case it breaks. I like it more than the WotS games. The graphics do take a hit, but the resources went to smooth game play, good combat mechanics, and weapon variety. It's a game I played over a decade ago, caused me to buy the oher titles, and here I am still searching up videos on youtube all these years later... That's how good this game is.
