Installing the Nilight 2PCS 4Inch 60W LED Pods on my R50 Pathfinder
Today I’m installing Nilights 2pcs Pods with integrated amber lights on my R50 pathfinder. I feel like lights are a great addition to any off-road vehicle as visibility is super important! I’m really happy with my pods, they’re better than I expected!
I’m super excited to announce that I have partnered up with Nilight! I have always been a fan of their products! Install was super smooth, the provide you with everything you need to get the job done! I try to be as DIY as possible and they really make it easy to be!
Be sure to check out www.nilight.com/ for your lighting needs!

มุมมอง 2.7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I go over some of the things I've noticed about my Pathfinder that need work that I've noticed in the last 6 months. I've had this Pathfinder for about 8 months but have only been driving it for 6. I also go over some future build plans, what I'm doing next, and a couple updates on the other cats on the channel. Just to be clear, this is a 6 month review on THIS Pathfinder. It's n...

It is finally done! My R50 pathfinder is now lifted! I can't thank you enough Sam! My pathfinder is now running the same setup as my precious pathfinder. I had to split the video into 2 parts so it wouldn't be too long. A few more parts need to go in before I can start wheeling again. The come back is real! Here are some links to some of the suspension components I have on my rig! Front coils: ...

1998 Nissan Pathfinder LE Gets an intense interior cleaning!!
มุมมอง 7423 ปีที่แล้ว
My new R50 wasn't in terrible shape but the interior needed some love! I took the seats put of my R50 pathfinder and went nuts with the cleaning of the carpet! I vacuumed and scrubbed the carpet to the best or my ability. Now this R50 looks like the day it came out of the dealership! While I'm no car interior detailer, I've got to say that it came out pretty good! make sure to follow my Instagr...

I'm super excited to start this build! it will be similar to my last R50 pathfinder but it won't be a replica, per say. It will be it's own build with some parts off the Red one! Turbo Integra dyno day! Day didnt go as I had hoped
มุมมอง 1353 ปีที่แล้ว
Today the turbo Teggy (Integra) went on the dyno. Apart from being limited on power by the injectors, the Integra decided that it no longer wanted to be friends with the clutch. Pretty easy fix, luckily it was just the clutch cable. I should have this thing back on the road in no time. Make sure you subscribe to keep up with the build and to stay updated on the Integra! For all the guys doing this for the first time make sure the lights work before connecting anything to the hood.
That’s great advice!!
I've had these in my R50 with a locked (welded solid) front diff and 31" tires for 2 years now and haven't yet managed to snap the hub itself yet! I've sheered off all 6 axle bolts and most recently all but 2 of the hub studs (I kept the original studs and bolts) though. Thankfully I have a number of hub assemblies on hand, so it was a simple swap postponing the extraction for later... Did you wheel while any of the studs/allen-bolts were missing? Just curious how close I was to needing a new hub since all but 2 were snapped before I fixed it the other day. Having to ford a creek after the hurricane obliterated a bridge to go anywhere, so it was used a time or two like that HAHA Thanks Helene for adding just a little off-roading to each and every commute!
Can I use the stock shock absorbers with the 2 1/2 inch lift or do I have to buy extended shocks? That’s the only thing I’m confused on
Dont quote me but I think you would be maxing them out
Is it stable on the highway? sucks if it comes off..
Yea! Nothing to worry about! As long as the screws are tight you’re good to go!
A mechanic replaced the LF strut assembly on mine. When I got the car back it clunked on the way home. And now the axle is completely separated. The mechanic denied doing anything wrong but there were no noises or anything before I took it there. I know this vid is about replacing the axle, but would you know if there is any chance a CV can be damaged or pop out on an R50 while replacing a strut?
To my knowledge (not a mechanic) if you let it drop too far or let it just fall, most CV axles can separate. I’m not sure if that’s the case with these CVs. I would check if he put the C- clip back on before putting it all back together
@@passiondriven5648 Thanks. He says he didn't do anything with the CV axle as he was just replacing the strut, which I guess means he didn't remove the clip.
Oh I see! If you get under your car and grab the shaft closest to the wheel and wiggle it around and it moves a lot then yea he must have let the whole assembly droop too low
@@passiondriven5648 Yeah, when I took it back to the shop after noticing the clunks, they wiggled the CV joint and it moved a LOT. Then after his denial of responsibility, I drove it home again, and now the CV joint is completely separated. and nearly falling out.
Yikes! Not good! Hopefully they end up fixing it for you!
We need more videos!
Great job explaining brooo, I wasn’t sure if would be able to connect by myself but after this video I feel confident! 🫡💯💯
Im glad it helped you!
On these trails, whichever ones the cheapest ).
I bought a nilight lightbar years ago when thwynwere newer company n really Cheap everyone doubted my choice of 42incj curved light from a new company super cheap well as i said years ago and i atill got that mofo up on roof of my R50 nilight will always be my go to if available first because of that first bar
That’s awesome! It’s always been my go to as well!
I guess you can still use it as an ear plug so its not a total loss
😂😂
@@passiondriven5648 😁
The rack is handy but honestly a big part of my love for these trucks is going topless. My ex Emily S. had one and I loved the truck almost as much as I loved her. I did my best to keep both of them topless. Sadly she hit ice one night and hit a concrete baracade dead center and nearly killed them both. I was lucky and was able to keep her a little bit longer.
Watched your rear lift install. The spring you had to compress on the right is supposed to go on the left. You need to swap them side to side.
What is the length and diameter of the stock springs? And, would you possibly still have them?
Beautiful truck cant wait to paint mine
How are these lights holding up?
Great! No complains!
@@passiondriven5648 cool mine didn’t come with the pod light mounts
How and where did you run the wiring for the roof mount light bar?
I ran it down along where I mountehed the rack and then ran it thhrough the weather stripping down towards the door hinge and then behind the glove box the switch that was by my stereo
Fumoto didn't fail. You didn't get the right material. You need an adapter they sell for that purpose when you don't have clearance.
Correct, that’s why I titled the install as the fail not the product.
So you didn't drill? You pretty much clamped them onto the hood if I saw correct? Yes?
Correct. I didn’t want something permanent so the clamps were the best option. They hold well and don’t move
@@passiondriven5648 That's great and very smart. I'll definitely be doing the same thing. Same ones, and the same position as well. And also, of course thank you for demonstrating on this very video. This will help 🙂
Just had to have those headers didn't ya? lol
🤣🤣
wish me luck ordered a wiring light pod kit n i’m hoping ill wire it right
This is the first video I watched that actually showed the wire connection. thank you.
Where u bought?
You just CANNOT list (or note) that the Fumoto is a “Failure” (because YOUR 🫵 custom headers are IN-THE-WAY!😡). It was/is therefore YOUR fault (NOT the Fumuto). So PLEASE always get your “Story” right/correct. So thus, BLAMING the Fumoto was YOUR 🤢🤮 error (not 🙅the Fumoto Value being at fault). 👎👎👎
Correct. That is why I titled the video as the install being a fail, never mentioned the part being what failed nor did I blame fumoto. 🫡🤦🏻♂️🫣
Man our r50 has been the biggest pain in the ass. Ive never seen a vehicle with so much money and parts still be such a turd. Its leaking everywhere. My sister in law bought it at a reasonable price years ago and spent tons of money fixing and jerry rigging some stuff. She gave itbto us because our car was stolen and the journey began for us. Its an around town vehicle but it has had a wierd bug where it was blowing fuses. Removed our alarm and it went to the dealer three times and no one could figure it out. It just stopped doing it. I did the front suspension at home myself with a 2" lift all new control arms ball joints and steering rack and stabilizer bar bushings. We had the rear arms and shocks done and they didnt replace the hardware and ive had them come loose twice and its clubking again in the rear. Im gonna get new hardware and the rear lift spacers and do that then i have to fix these oil leaks. Literally needs a complete gasket set. And the throttle body isbleaking coolant from the pressed in fittings. Random evap purge solenoid code came on last week. Ive replaced the entire evap system and qe had to pass star smog in cali. Fixed 4 check engine lights and ended up needing a new iacv out of nowhere. This has been a nightmare vehicle. Honestly. Ive owned probably twenty different cars in my life this has been the biggest disappointment all the rubber for the doors and windows and body is warped and tearing or crusty and broken. It loved in Florida its whole life then cali for about a year. Now we live in texas. I drove here with my two year old my dog my cat and all our shit in the pathy. Took 3 days and was leaking so bad it would smoke horrificly climbing hills. Still does. Rear main oil pump oil pan valve covers. Theyre all leaking. Trans started to leak too i think the front input shaft seal where the torwue converter goes in is leaking. Pos ungrateful vehicle. Had two master cylinders done as well. What a joke.
Starter and ignition switch as well.
I looked at two of the many 'oil drain plugs' available on the market. Fumoto and all its strange names they call each type(they have about 5 types)....Then I researched Valvomax and some others. Since my skid plate is very close to drain plug...I choose the Valvomax because the threads that go into the drain pan are shorter..so more oil will come out with changes, and it comes with clear tubing to drain into a clear collapsible 5qt jug, that once filled, can carry to auto parts store and dump. I think Valvomax will work well on my car fingers crossed (Rav4)....but cant use it yet as just changed my oil. Valvomax also gives free return postage if the part doesnt work for any reason and lifetime warranty. I cant wait to experience an oil change with almost no oily mess everywhere on driveway due to winds and such.
What setup does your buddy Kevin have for his tire carrier? Looking for my qx4 ..
It’s a custom rear bumper, the person I bought the Qx4 from made it

the sound is the dust guard?
Hey, nice build. I just acquired a 1997 pathy with only 80000 miles and a 1 owner. Its completely stock. I want to make it into an overland type build but not going overboard. Mine does not have the fender flares, i would like to know where i can get some flares. I will also upgrade the suspension due to it being stock. Then wheel and tires. Any advice would be helpful.
Not sure why anyone would mount lights on a hood
It’s to increase visibility on the sides of the road. They are in addition to the light bar that is on top of my roof rack
@@passiondriven5648 why not add them to your roof rack then instead of possibly damaging your hood ?
@Trackhoe075 the clamps are soft rubber so no damage being done 👍🏽
Off-roading… there called ditch lights that way you don’t have an accident on the trails these kinda lights will save ur life when driving on trails camping or whatever. Ur prolly a boomer or don’t touch grass but people go outside and adventure
I'm not sure why you're so brain-dead and don't realize the point
what’s the model of that radio you have in there? I wanna put a new one in mine but idk what will fir
It’s an Atoto, I don’t remember the exact model but there are newer versions of it on Amazon
Turn you relay downward, How are the lights holding up a year later?
The lights have been solid! No issues whatsoever
Nice to see the product installed and put through the test after had purchased them myself but just haven't yet installed them hopefully after this rain passes I'll get out there and do the install....thanks for the informative video really good job bud....🙂👍
Thanks! Hope you got those lights on!

Thanks!
I wish I knew what parts you used
Hey! It’s all in the description
No wonder, I didn’t realize I had to open the drop down then open another drop down when looking . Thanks
I need them asap what the name of the light plz can I get the details asap

@passiondriven5648 Would you still buy a high mileage Pathy today? I'm looking at one that looks pretty clean for 260K miles. I have a 98 already but it is 2wd. Hope you are good. I enjoy your content.
Hey! Thanks! I did buy another one at 270k miles and it’s been great! My red one was at 298k miles and I would drive it like I stole it, never baby’d it and it never left me stranded. Right when I got both my pathfinders I did the timing belt, water pump, and new radiator along with all the fluids including trans, and diffs and I’ve never had issues.
Good video but holy fuck the camera guy could at least get a closeup of the hardware.
Fumoto make a x model that rotates
Great video!
ты заменил старую на новую и где лифт?
Dude, lay down a piece of cardboard before you start. Its really that simple.
blue locktight bolts
lifetime warranty cover that?
That's the pathfinder you fix something, something else breaks
What size rim and tires
Im driving a 97 2wd right now. Absolutely one of the best vehicles weve owned as a family car. Its made my life witha 2 year old way easier than our 2door civic dx that got totaled due to theft. This video givese such confidence in the event of a collision. Solid cars man. That car saved your life.❤
I've finished the front and rear suspension all new parts. And 2.5" spacers up front. Gonna get tires and alignment next but I've got a ton of work into this thing already. We decided we're keeping it long term and our son can drive it when he gets older. I love this little truck. I always planned to have a bagged hard body when I was a kid but this is kind of close😂
It really did save my life! That could’ve ended really bad for me and the fact that I was left unscathed still blows my mind to this day!
Eh close enough haha
Looking for lights for my psthfinder. Perfect 🎉

I had those same A hole lights and got a ticket for flashing them one time, the cop called them A hole lights and it stuck with me lol
