  • In this video I teach you how to change brake pads on the R50 Pathfinder as well as a sway bar end link. How to change the brake pads on most cars is similar to this .
I ran into a little bit of trouble with one of the tools that I was using so I had to go buy one mid brake job but overall a pretty simple task.

Just did the same two jobs on my '00 R50! Such good trucks! I haven't lifted mine, but I'm putting a high clearance steel bumper on it this winter, because I've already shattered the stock front bumper on it twice (DIY weld together kit from Coastal Offroad)
I love these trucks! I think they are VERY under rated! The R50 Pathfinder is like the poor man's Landcruiser.

I needed them urgently so I went with the duralast ones because they were the only ones I didn't have to wait on. Not bad so far

If you have a big C-Clamp that would work as well to compress the pistons. Been doing it that way for years.

@@passiondriven5648 when they reopen the mountains again you should try the trails out in Lytle Creek. There's a bunch of them out there. The exit is before cleghorn on the 15. Exit Sierra head north into the mountains and go till the pavement ends. There's also a few others along that rd as well

Did you have to extend your rear brake lines when you did your lift?
