- In this video I teach you how to change brake pads on the R50 Pathfinder as well as a sway bar end link. How to change the brake pads on most cars is similar to this .
I ran into a little bit of trouble with one of the tools that I was using so I had to go buy one mid brake job but overall a pretty simple task.
Thanks for watching, make sure to follow me on IG

Just did the same two jobs on my '00 R50! Such good trucks! I haven't lifted mine, but I'm putting a high clearance steel bumper on it this winter, because I've already shattered the stock front bumper on it twice (DIY weld together kit from Coastal Offroad)
I love these trucks! I think they are VERY under rated! The R50 Pathfinder is like the poor man's Landcruiser.
Super underrated trucks! I love mine!
when i did my sway bar links a few months back i got the ones with the grease nipples on the back side. probably doesnt matter too much but it was a nice to have
I needed them urgently so I went with the duralast ones because they were the only ones I didn't have to wait on. Not bad so far
Ayy keep em coming!
Will do! Thanks for the support!
If you have a big C-Clamp that would work as well to compress the pistons. Been doing it that way for years.
Oh I've never thought of that! That's a good idea haha thanks!
@@passiondriven5648 when they reopen the mountains again you should try the trails out in Lytle Creek. There's a bunch of them out there. The exit is before cleghorn on the 15. Exit Sierra head north into the mountains and go till the pavement ends. There's also a few others along that rd as well
@@vwmetal66 i'll be sure to check it out! Thank you!
Gotta get those wheeling numbers up
I agree! Qe need to go wheeling SOON!
Did you have to extend your rear brake lines when you did your lift?
Its is highly recommended but I have yet to do it
Hey bro, are you running extended brake lines in the front or rear?
I have stock brake lines. No extended brake lines
@@passiondriven5648 Sweet! I just picked up an R50 a few days ago and found your videos. Same year, same color too! Great inspiration, thanks and keep it up. See you guys at the trails!
@@tnerbb thats awesome! Thank you!
I plan on picking up a set of these for my next brake job, www.harborfreight.com/disc-brake-pad-and-caliper-service-tool-kit-11-pc-63264.html?_br_psugg_q=brake+kit
