Bike 2 Eiger - A story about modern alpinism
Aufgewachsen im Berchtesgadener Land, kamen die Schulfreunde Martin Schidlowski und Philipp Reiter schon früh bei ihren gemeinsamen Abenteuern mit den Legenden Toni Kurz und Anderl Hinterstoißer in Berührung.
Fasziniert von der dramatischen Geschichte und dem damaligen Pioniergeist, machen sich die beiden mit ihrem Fahrrad auf zur Eiger Nordwand - auf den Spuren der beiden Idole die 1936 in einer Tragödie am „letzten ungelösten Problem der Alpen“ ums Leben kamen. Während Bikepacking-Neuling Martin eher die 3-tägige Gewaltfahrt mit 550km und 5.000 Höhenmeter von Bad Reichenhall nach Grindelwald Sorgen bereiten, ist für seinen besten Freund Philipp die fast 2.000m hohe Nordwand äußerst furchteinflößend.
Doch für das ungleiche Duo aus Bergführer und Outdoor-Fotografen kommt sowieso alles ganz anders als wie geplant….
Ein Film über Freundschaft, Pläne und den modernen Alpinismus.

When local athlete Anton Palzer tried to set a new FKT (Fastest Known Time) on his home mountain Watzmann in der Berchtesgadener Land, it was on me to film all the action on the knife-sharp ridge... Congratulations Toni, 2:47h is pretty awesome for the whole "Watzmannüberschreitung" loop (approx. 23km and 2.300m ) !

It's probably the best rock climbing route in the "Hochkönig" area in Salzburger Land/Austria. Steep, hard and awesome views! But you need quite a lot of finger power, it's IX-! And if you wear the cool JUAdesign pants it's not getting easier but you look even more cool ;-) !

Fetter Respekt! Richtig geiles Video. Ich bin beidseits Unterschenkel amputiert und möchte alle 7 Summits der Alpen in diesem Jahr schaffen. In nur 5 Tagen werd ichs aber nicht ganz hinbekommen. 😉

Wie meinen Sie das mit? Natürlich hat er den Watzmann am schnellsten überquert - oder nicht? Das liest man überall 🤷🏼♂️
