Teaching English in China - Day in The Life
I recently started to learn chinese and I have set a very hard task to push and better myself and that us to be able to read and understand and speak mandarin in 1 year, even if its at the intermediate level.
Mandarin Chinese is designed to be learned backward you first learn the so called pictograph which is easy follow by ideograph last is the phonetic and is a dialect not a language
You’re amazing! Your pronunciation is great! 😄 I grew up in China and later went to Australia for studies, so I really understand how difficult it can be to learn a new language-vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation all feel like challenges. 😅 That’s why I really admire you. I’m a TH-cam beginner, and I share some Chinese learning resources on my channel. (I just started updating, so the content may not be much yet, but I’ll keep working hard! 💪) I hope I can help you! 📚😊 Feel free to ask me any questions about China too! 🇨🇳 By the way, can you teach me English? 😅
This video is really helpful! I grew up in China and later went to Australia for studies, so I know how challenging it can be to learn a new language. We are native Chinese speakers and share some Chinese learning resources, hoping they can help you! Hope you're enjoying your time in China! 😊
Thailand condos are far more luxurious and around the same price I was considering China to relocate because of the bridges and the buildings. And how everything is lit up at night. But when I saw Bangkok it actually blew my mind. How loves you? The apartments are. They are very small but the amenities of the rest of the building. More than makes up for it it is extremely plush those condos in thailand
I am coming to China for teaching English :) Do not know Chinese 😂😂😂
Hi, which city are you based, and which are the best ones ti live?
This man is so underrated your Chinese is phenomenal I could understand each word you said very easily I’m very impressed🎉
2:55 Why the discrimination
В принципе я английский до уровня А2 только выучил и уже начал изучать китайский (не знаю почему но китайский мне кажется легче чем английский)
How old were you when you started learning chenis ?
your chinese it's great Man! how did you learn it?
日本人として日本の侵略と戦争犯罪が申し訳ない
Your video is in English.
Really appreciated the honesty in this video... I'm in a rut after 1.5 months... Started out super enthusiastic but the progress has been so slow that I kind of want to give up.
I'm really curious how easy you found it at first? I ask this because SO FAR (working through Paul Noble's two Chinese courses.- def only beginner level) I'm legit finding it reasonable.
First, love your content- please keep making more. Curious re: Chinese being difficult... I've worked through both of Paul Noble's courses so far. Obviously still beginner level, but as of right now I've picked everything up easily and have no problem remembering things - even the tones. Does it start getting more difficult, or is this a good sign? haha I don't want to jinx myself, but I swear I've found it easier than European languages in school. I'm sure a lot of that is motivation, though!
I lived in China and learned Chinese as well. And you are right, mandarin seems easy on the beginner level. The grammar is way easier to grasp than any other languages I learned, the basic characters and super easy to remember, especially because of the way they are formed. Like the actually look like what they represent. But when you learn another couple of hundreds then the old ones get blurry and they start to mix in your head. And when you progress in your Chinese you start to realize that the more you learn the less you actually understand and remember. And you vividly see that your textbook Chinese is absolutely not how the natives really speak. Their speed, accents, word choices can be super challenging even on the more advanced level. But I don't want to discourage you - learning the language in China is very rewarding, the locals love it when you use their language, they will always praise your Chinese no matter how good or bad it would be. Just try to practice with the native speakers as much as you can and you can get to a great level. Good luck on your Chinese learning journey
as a chinese,i really like Japan🇯🇵 日本は好きです
I’m Chinese, and my favorite country is actually Singapore!
Hello everyone!! Im a recruiter for teachers who want to teach in China. Please do check my channel so u can see some of our vacancies
It is absolutely correct about dont spend time on writing Chinese. Typing makes it more importance nowadays. There are more Americans having difficulties spelling English words correctly, but have no problem communicating with different people in the States. Just live happily and life goes on.
You pay 9500 RMB a month!? Why is it so much?
Compared to any western city that’s way cheaper
It depends on the city he lives. If it's one of the top tier cities apartments up to 10k are pretty reasonable
It’s so cringe seeing a white guy speak Chinese.
Nice video. That one teacher must me South African 😂
really depends on how foreigner being considered themselves... actually having a family over China and then building stuff bit by bit... I believe that is really great.. regarding long term plan, I find some foreigner setup AirBNB on china, which definitely a plan B in future.
Interesting perspective!

Did you teach through EF English first?
Not at all bru unless u wanna move to China and get yo ass in a fucking prison
Why nobody say: TAIWAN ? Come on, I know those Chinese love TAIWAN.
As a CN in Uk, I could Go 台湾 for sure lol

Can you pass HSK5 without writing by hand?
I heard English is not being taught anymore in primary school in China, so many teachers are out of a job? Is this true?
找一个中国朋友,女朋友或者男朋友,才是关键😂
As a Chinese I love UK and Canada. Been there before, love the vibes in UK and people in Canada
Most chilled english teacher! I busted my balls in taiwan (no choice)
Hi there, I like your channel and appreciate your honesty about learning Chinese. I am a professional Chinese teacher in U.S. I think that your tips are very helpful for language learners. I recommend Peppa Pig shows to my students too. 100% agree with your immersion style of language learning. As for learning Chinese characters, I humbly think that the most effective way would be learning them from the most common ones to the least common. With the top 140 most commonly used characters, you can recognize about 50% the characters in daily readings! After having learned the top 3,000 characters, you can read more than 99% of the characters. And, another effective way to learn Chinese characters is learning by the radicals (偏旁部首). This way, they are easier to understand and remember. For example, if you use the radical 女(meaning “woman”), you can easily learn many of the characters with this radical: 妈 (using the meaning of 女 and the sound of “马”). Similar examples are: 姐、妹、姑、娘、嫂、婶,etc. They are just my humble suggestions for Chinese language learners. Hope they help. Thank you for your great videos! May DeLosh
where are all the people that city is very populated...wow no graffiti
I am a volunteer ESL tutor and been assigned a Cantonese couple. What are some good tips to get them better with L, V, and P. They use R in place of L in most things.
I am a Chinese native. I’m learning English, I know it is hard to learn a language so I’d like to help people who are learning Chinese. And if it is possible, we can teach each other.😁
My native language is Spanish, my second language is English. I worked over a year and a half with people in US so I improved a lot. English is easy for me now. I'm looking forward to learn Chinese. How can we stay in touch?

WHAT?! No way! I thought every Chinese person hates Japan the most. If this is true, I want to tell all my friends about it.
Or maybe some people are living in different regions instead of famous places that got invaded by Unit 731, as that’s the context of the hatred against 日本
@@劲 What year are you living in? LOL. Go get a job already!
