On the homepage should be really easy. Just navigate to the customizer and select "Add section" and then "video". A panel will open up with a "heading" and "video link" field. Paste in a youtube or vimeo link and your video should appear.

There is no way to change up the formatting without a bunch of custom coding. This is going to sound super jank but I typically just use bullet characters and line breaks like so: • Bullet point 1 • Bullet point 2 • Buller point 3

Unfortunately, you'd have to do this with code edits. Duplicate your theme so you have a backup. Then, edit your theme. Find the "component-image-with-text.css" file in the Assets folder and add the following code to the end of the file: @media screen and (max-width: 750px) { .image-with-text__content{ display:none; } }

Unfortunately, that's not something that you'll find a simple guide for. It's going to require significant custom code to add a custom block to the section.

Good question. Unfortunately, that's going to be tricky, especially since the website will try to be responsive and may shift the image position based on screen size. Even with custom coding you'll have a hard time making sure the graphic copy isn't covered up. The best thing to do is stop using graphic copy and instead use the actual text elements on the website for your copy. This is especially important since graphic copy can't be picked up by screen readers or search engines so you're really hurting the performance of your site by including copy in the graphics themselves.

@@dsen7212 No problem. I feel your pain. I started as a graphic designer and it was a big shift learning to do everything in real text. A big tip for this kind of thing is to look at your site on a desktop and a smartphone. Shifting well between desktop and mobile is one of the biggest weaknesses of graphic design elements being used on a website. For what it's worth, the look you're going for can probably be created as a web element using custom code but that kind of development can be pricey so it's often not worth it unless the design is really really important.

If you use the Image Banner section instead, you can remove the blocks, leaving just an image. Then, you can add a rich text section below it. That's probably the easiest way to accomplish what you're trying to do.

@@2HMediaMarketing Image banner is waaayyyy to big. I literally just want a normal image and text below it, very simple.

@@JB-dv7ew well, you could do it with a custom html section. Otherwise, you’re going to need a new section added to the theme or a different theme that does what you want.

Are the templates in your live theme or an unpublished theme? You need a template with the same name in your published theme in order to apply it to a page. Usually this is where people run into issues at this step. Hope that helps!

Are you on the dawn theme? If so, you should be able to turn it on in the customizer by going to the cart page, seleting "Subtotal" in the left-hand nav, and then selecting the "Enable cart note" checkbox on the right-hand side of the screen.

Not within the customizer. You should be able to do so by editing the code but it takes a bit of work.

Do you mean you want to display a coupon code on a page? If so, there's lots of ways to do so. You should watch our video on building custom pages on Online Store 2.0

This sounds super weird. Assuming you have your pages and templates set up correctly, the only time I've seen this behavior was prior to Online Store 2.0. Some themes used to call the same sections from various templates, and their settings would carry over.

That's really unusual. How big were your files? Usually problems like that mean your file sizes (not dimensions) are way to big.

This is a tricky one. The colour metafield won't show up on the front-end on its own. You need someone to add the metafield to your theme's code in order to make use of this content type.

So glad you found it helpful. The customizer is a pretty slick page builder but it's definitely not obvious how everything works.

Yep. Good point to add. As a workaround, it's sometimes helpful to add a page template with the same name to both your live theme and whichever theme you're working on. Even if you don't customize the template on the active theme, it's smart enough to keep track of which pages use which template when you launch the updated theme.

As you say, the image padding has been removed. The only way to add it back in is with custom coding that is too advanced to describe here. However, you should still be able to add a collection image that will appear in the collage by navigating to Products > Collections in the back end of Shopify, selecting the desired collection, and clicking "Add image" under "Collection Image" on the right side of the screen. Note that the collection image is added on the collection page - not in the customizer.
