Ken, what a great overview of binding and headstock repair, thanks again
Awesome
From the 1040's? Never seen a pre-battle of hastings guitar before. Thanks for the binding tips. Definitely my least favorite aspect of guitar work. Appreciate your deliberate approach.
@@crocutus help me find an arpeggione
@@paulmerojunkpileguitars Although I know what an arpeggione is, I've never actually seen one. If I do, you'll be the first to know.
Ken, thanks again for highlighting the need for patience
Ken, interesting video, always a fun intro...
Thanks Ken.
Thanks spending time with us!
👍
Ken, I am so sorry for your loss.
@@danhurst4100 thank you my friend
Thanks Ken, stay safe.
That thing looks like a little geetar amp! I do all my soldering at a desk workbench in my bedroom so I just have a small clip-on fan I run sometimes to blow the fumes away from my immediate facial vicinity. Not entirely effective, especially when I cant be bothered to turn it on but it is something.
Ken, another interesting refresher on wiring...always great to plan before starting any wiring project
?! why solder to the back of a Potentiometer when there's already a Tab for ground?!?
The greatest Luthier you've never heard of
You did a great job fixing that Guitar.

Thanks Ken I understand, that's why I have only 1 vintage archtop, I have not messed it up and I do have it good enough to play slide and some first position chords ,
Thank You Ken, i enjoy the tips and tricks on TH-cam, and the 'sneak peeks' on Instagram . . .love the shot of those gorgeous Tuners at 36:36 -- bet they almost work adequately
I had a guitar damn near exactly like this one when I was a young idiot it was a Kay- I threw it into a lake at a party. My buddies girlfriend swam out and got it back for me the next morning and I still played it for awhile Afta!
Its great to see ya Ken! Im always inspired to get up and do something when I watch your vids. I got effect pedal circuits I want to build, two different guitar-basses somewhere in the early stages just past the planning ones out in the shop but I have such a damn hard time finding the motivation or energy to get up and out and just starting on something! Maybe its the season I dont know but I just wanted to tell you I appreciate your vids! Thanks for the free semi-instructional entertainment! P.S.: B4 and Afta absolutely Never gets old!
Ken, great info on bridges, thanks again
I was reaching into my phone helping you clamp up that neck. You're welcome!
So...with all the work that you did, you may have gotten jazz guitar players to play the guitar to match your skill. The guitar was played too rough in my opinion. You did excellent work...the guitar could have been played with more finesse.
@@georgesedeno7891 that is quite a compliment. Thank you

Nice, thanks.
What size frets did you put on these Harmony guitars? Also where do you purchase them? Thanks!
Ken, this was a great refresher, thanks again
Been waiting on this one, thanks Ken
Thanks for another wonderful video. Did you purchase the radiused block or make it? If you made it, how and what is the radius? I really enjoy spending time in your work shop via youtube!
That finish is beautiful! Love that you preaerve the heritage and patina and thus the history and the soul of those old guitars you work on..

Hmmmm...VERY interesting sound.
@@fragslap5229 the pickup is coming back. Thanks for watching
@@paulmerojunkpileguitars I dunno, I thought it sounded remarkably "cool" without the pickup.
when i "flipped" my first Instrument to a Lefty, i did'nt know the Gears went below the Keys, but worse, i thought They tightened clockwise 🙃
Hello Ken, sorry to hear about the 6 week anniversary, thank you for helping to keep us grounded...
Thanks Ken , I really enjoyed all the Kay - 150 episides
looks the that Neck-holding _Appliance_ is pretty handy
Are those a laminate top and sides or do they actually have solid wood? I never knew that about acetone- that means model airplane glue would probably work the same. Meaning the thin stuff that actually welds the polystyrene together.
Thanks Ken.
i love looking at These _preWar_ and earlier Beauties; esp. when the Back comes off Butyl Bands : for Those whom like to use what They have before buying something, i got 28' out of *one* skinny "10 speed" Tube measuring about 5/8">>3/4" wide
Thank you Ken , I'm excited about all the upcoming projects.
Simply use a preamp with the piezo. You wouldnt need 2 output jacks. Simply a selector switch. You can also get preams with 3 band EQ's, which are what i use
Hello Ken, thanks for another thought provoking video. Always great to plan such work.
