What adhesive do you use, I tried that with the lokweld hi temp adhesive and it would rip the landau before being able to repostion. Did you spray the leather as well? I love the screen tool idea!!
That sh!!! Is on fire. Amazing. I’m gonna keep watching
What grit do you sand the foam
do you charge less money do to a "driver car" interior, compared to a show "car interior". if both cars have the same interior style?. do to the fact you stated the "driver car" doesn't have to be "perfect"? .
Thanks for all of your fiberglass vids.!! I've subscribed and can't wait to see them all.
Where did you get the cardboard and foam?
For the center back seat parts, couldn't you have gotten the same result if you had not cut individual pieces, and instead just sown pleats into the center back seat section?
That's what I was also thinking. It would save soooo much time.
Great video. I'm a beginning auto upholsterer and I don't have any templates for seat upholstery. Would you be willing to sell copies of your templates?
What did you charge ($$) for this job?
Man I love your videos. I was not getting any notifications it somehow got turn off am on it now. Mark Tennessee
So awesome. Where did you get the cardboard and foam? Is the foam pre stick or are you putting glue on it? I looked for some foam and couldn’t find something like what you are using.
Great video … what are your thoughts on buying vinyl and thread from Amazon ..? I want to recover my hometheater seats..
Quick question: Does shortening the grill on each side like this affect the fitment of the headlight bezels and trim?
LEAST AMOUNT OF WASTE POSSIBLE?.. could have made at LEAST two pieces from that first piece of leather, you laid out for that one arm rest.. LOTS of waste.. I have no problem with your sewing and design work.. but don't layout a piec with 4" of waste around it, then talk about "least amount of waste possible"..
Please turn your work to the camera.
Thank a lot sir❤❤❤
Cutting grooves is a key missing part....
The foam you used on the sides, you refer to it as "luan" Is it also called by another name? Is it a closed cell foam, and does it have a coated side? I have been looking for this kind of foam at fabric stores and have yet to find the right stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fantastic work! Your love for creating really stands out. 😎
what kind of closed cell foam do you use? Where can I buy it?
Very, very nice
U should have more views than this. Great job.
What type of board did you use? I got foam that i bought at Michael’s. I am using suede (not the real one) with foam backing. Would the same process you’re using apply to suede?
Awesome work bro. Well done. from South AFRICA
My condolences to the family. What a great mentor . RIP man.
Just found your videos today and you do a great job explaining your process! Keep them coming. 🙏🏼
Rip
Im noticing..not one question.. On where materials came from..what are they..how did you cut grooves? None of those have been responded to? Did iiss something or did yall notice that too?
You deserve way more likes, views and subs for the amazing content!
Awesome content, keep up the amazing work!
I think its time i give this a shot.they look awesome
So your doing the door jambs as your painting the whole truck, or do you jamb it 1st
Great video on how to do it myself buddy now I can save money do it myself looks good and not pay those high priced interior shops
Fantastic video talented man for sure
Thanks for the Video OG!..this helped me solve my problem with custom molding my cluster gauges
Thickness of board? How did you cut grooves??
Is that a Juki 1541s or 1508?
Looks awesome....
Great video thanks, what kind of foam did you put on the boards? and what kind of glue did you use when spraying the leather?
wildwood (weldwood, something like that) contact cement, a pro out my way uses it, and I just another video, they used that and I think Rudolphs also said weldwood contact cement. I have also used 3M. Rudolph is in Texas so if it can handle that heat, it should stay PUT. Good luck !
I am jumping in mid project but that dash has a really cool vintage Corvette look.
I think a set of bumper guards would really look great with your front bumper ‼️👍🏻 and maybe a set for the back ⁉️ I am a bowtie man to 👍🏻‼️😁
Great video and extremely informative. Thank you
Question doesn’t the leather have contact cement well ?
You must be running a clutch type motor instead of a survotype.
Damn at the selvage
When you make patterns, do you use clear plastic or tracing paper to make initial pattern from the seat and then later convert it over to paper? Also is there a reason why most upholstery places use half inch and thinner foam? I know that a lot of people like firmer seats but I want to make my seats extra soft and squishy so I was thinking a full inch thick foam or even thicker.
Well done, mate
What is the white board you are cutting on? Looks like some kind of hard foam board.
wow. i am so sorry to hear of rich's passing. he was a true artist.
1) what adhesive do you use? 2)How do you keep your gun clean? 3) How often do you clean your gun?
Is that a really powerful sewing machine?
