Note the RADAR is operating?? This means the ship has power from either generators or batteries, why??
The generators were running tu burn as much fuel possible to avoid pollution
It probably takes years to build a ship of this size! Yet, it is sinking in a matter of minutes! I would think there would be some kind of emergency devices or structures in this ship, to help keep it afloat even if it is taking on water.
It will take some time to build a vessel like that, unsure how long though. The cargo holds for these bulk carriers are like floating bath tubs, they are liable to sink fast due to how quick the cargo holds could flood. That's why they have the free fall lifeboat in the stern
@rjonsen Ok. I understand. I also realize that each of the metal storage containers on top is about the size and length of a tractor trailer truck, and there are many of those containers! It takes a lot of work to build a ship, as well as maintain it on a daily basis. I rode on a military ship a few days, as a marine many decades ago, and at night it is pitch black dark in the ocean! I wonder if a ship sinks at night on the ocean, are you safe from a shark attack or not ? It takes a very brave sole to work on a ship or a big oil rig in the sea, on a daily basis. I have seen ships going through the North Sea from some online videos, and the North Sea will challenge even the largest ships ever built, with rough seas and high waves! We don't realize a lot of goods we buy at various stores, is transported by sea in large ships like that, probably every week. Working at sea is a necessary job though, but it is a job that is too dangerous for me!
@Slim1423 working on ships, a shark attack is a small worry in the grand scheme of things if you end up in a life raft or a life boat.
@rjonsen That's true. The ocean is the greatest enemy there, plus it may take time for a rescue. I guess the sharks will keep you company, until help arrives....
@Slim1423 still hope help arrives before the sharks 🙂
ES MUY TRISTE VER PARTIR UN BARCO TAN COSTOSO IRSE AL ABISMO SIN PODER SALVARLO
It certainly is
Too little details. tk
Thank you for the feedback, what could I add to make the video better?
1:25 That noise it made as it went down. Right before the horn
Yeah..
Really scary
Big boot
Watching these big girls get into the air is astounding because it barely looks like they are moving on the runway 😄
Its really astounding for sure, so much lift in those wings
Should be illegal
That's like saying car accidents should be illegal
Wtf
This is actually terrifying how it just gets swallowed into the ocean There is SO much ocean on this planet that I’m starting to think aliens live UNDER US not in another planet there’s so much we haven’t discovered in the sea there could be entire civilizations we just have no way of knowing just due to the sheer amount of water and depth Land mass only makes up for 29% of the earth. Think about that.
It's terrifying for sure
You have the video without putting the description literally above the images of the video? :/
Thank you for the feedback, do you think it would be better to use bold text on the cover image of the video?
یاد کشتی سانچی می افتم😢😢😢😢
I wonder how deep it sank to the bottom. ?
It was over 2700m depth
Why i am crying at end😢
It's sad indeed
But I'm over here sucking water out of my cardboard straw because "environment"
That's how the world works 😅
잠수함이죠?
It is a submarine now
I Still See the ship when it sunk the stellar banner is to big for the water😮😮😮😮😮 1:52
That’s the ships funnel, it came off when it sank
@MatthewDoyle-u4m indeed
😢😮🇺🇦
물이 오염된다...
So that’s what it looks like to “total” a vessel. Gotcha.
Haha, indeed
Das was da passiert ist, ist schlimm und nicht mit irgendwelchen Filmen zuvergleichen... Unglaublich die Kommentare hier ...
Horn trigged by a float switch? Uh.....No.
It is actually true
Love how the radar unit was left on,spinning till the end.
For sure
Был корабль,стал подлодкой
For sure
This is so carzy!
It certainly is
no mercy at the sea
Certainly no mercy
Now imagine, swimming around, 100 feet down, and all of a sudden, you see this pass by you with your flash light, jeases, christ infind that creepy
That would be scary for sure
incredible
It certainly is
Could of woken the crew up first though.
The crew had already left
This might be a dumb question, but was the Iron ore still on the ship??
The salvage company had offloaded more than half the iron ore to re-float her before she was scuttled
This might be a dumb question, but was the Iron ore still on the ship??
The salvage company offload over half the iron ore to get the ship afloat so they could tow her to deeper waters
Судя по состоянию, он не случайно тонет
What if the caption instead said “The horn was sounded by the captain who they forgot was still aboard”
Imagine the Titanic lol
There she goes, swallowed up by the sea, down to join those who came before, on the ocean floor.
Is it ran a ground how can it sink I know that sounds silly but I'm saying if it ran aground then that means it hit the bottom of the ocean which means it was probably a big Sandbar or something so how did it sink so deep after seeing right underneath of it I hope I'm making this understandable
You are correct, it went a ground on a sand bank, got re-floated, towed to deep water and scuttled
Could they not have saved it?
Not sure, scuttling it was the decision by the owner and the insurance company
@rjonsen yeah might be beyond economic repair but can't be good for the environment
@retrorambles517 definitely not
When in enigma rising tide torpedo hit destroyer
poluindo o fundo do mar
As a naval architecture student, ship sinking videos make me so sad even when I know why they do it 😢 they arnt meant to be underwater
It was really sad to watch for sure
If someone women were around, you could hear them screaming for no reason
For those unaware, ships are not meant to do that unless they’re submarines
That's for sure
a lot of sick people here
Well this confirms it. We do crap ourselves when we die
Fishes: hey brothers we've a new mansion to live in.
During the second world war in the Atlantic this was happening all the time.
Sadly yes
What is the general depth of the water there this sank?
Around 2700m depth
drunk sailors ain't no myth
If only there was an underwater view
That would be cool to see
Pollution to the ocean get rid of the ship
Which software/app do u use for video editing?
