Thank you so much sir.
what i gain from this: 1. theme is what comes first in a clause ( theme is not the subject) 2. theme can refer back a part of the previous clause/ or the previous/ but not too far back so the writing can be coherent 3. marked theme examples: once upon time, next,

Read the Quran before it's late
This video is really helpful!!! however I am facing an issue in applying this theory in analysing some verbless clauses , for instance "Ready! for another coronation... how can we determine the theme of this sentence ? I am really grateful for the hard work you put in simplifying these lessons
The theme is 'Are you', as this is an elliptical clause which is interpreted by listeners as "Are you ready for another coronation?", right? Good luck.
I like this kinds of videos, because it makes easy a complecated topic. thank you and hope you will upload more videos.

You're welcome. Best wishes to you.
Very useful, thanks a million.
Your video was truly beautiful! The way you explained everything was so clear and concise. I was wondering if you could share your knowledge on multimodal discourse analysis in your next video? I've done a lot of research, but I know that hearing your perspective would be truly insightful. Thank you for inspiring me to learn more!
Very good! really helpful!
That was very helpful. Thank you :)
Glad to hear it.
Sir, what is the difference between personal reference and substitution "same" ? (because they're all presuppose the entire nominal group)
Sir, it would be wonderful to have you explain my question: Is it like 2 ways to categorize reference? 1st way: personal, demonstrative, comparative and 2nd way: reference inside and outside the text or all of these are 5 types of reference?
Personal, demonstrative and comparative references can all refer to something inside the text (this is endophoric reference) or outside the text (this is exophoric reference).
Helo thanks for this series! it has helped me alot in my studies. I would have loved if you talked about circumstances becuse i think that can be hard to grasp sometimes. Greetings from europe🫶
Thank you so much. The lesson became so clear to me🙏
I am glad to hear it. Best wishes to you.
So basically those features you have mentioned in this video are prosedy?
Prosody is the patterns of stress and intonation in a language.
