Wow this is cool I’m from the Bronx myself I don’t qualify for persholas tho I aged out which is a shame they got an age limit last time I looked into them, but I’m trying to get my comptia a+ to go into IT I’m going trough a hard time in my life and I really want to get out of it and chose a career with potential cause I’m currently homeless and jobless in a shelter but I don’t wanna give up I want to get into Tech after doing many jobs that lead me to no where.

Geraldt, can you kindly outline your application process for help desk/IT support? I'm studying for both those certs now - A+ and the Google Support cert but most concepts are not new because I was studying for the AWS Solutions Architect cert before and learnt a lot of networking, security etc in it but now I'm just trying to get my foot in in the quickest way possible. I've been applying on LinkedIn recently and other sites but haven't gotten any reply yet

can anyone explain to me I now hold this certificate A+ but I get rejected an all applications as they require stuff like 365 office and Active directory and much more which obviously I don't have how is this certificate supposed to help ppl get a job ?

Thank you for making this video. I watched the first one as well. I have been struggling for the past 5 years with regards to returning to school and even finding what i am interested in to study in the first place. I have always been interested in IT but never delved into it due to lack of resources etc. However, exercising your tips and hearing your perspective and journey has definitely inspired me to FAST and just keep focusing on an IT career. My problem is I get to sleepy when I first start to watch a video or write on paper, my health problems get in the way too. I have been trying to do this for 4 yrs now. All the videos that I have watched or tried too :) leads up to the same subjects, the best tool for the job and using kali linux, hiding your tracks and staying stealthy. use a vpn and a rubber ducky usb stick, don't include your real info on any pentesting devices or where you live etc...

Question: So you can do a certification program instead of going to college?

I'm gonna change the word Forget to Forgive because "Ye who forgets is doomed to repeat it" 😉 I want to be aware of all those things but not focus energy on them. Forgive but never forget 💯 🙏

Im in the middle of going to college for IT and have to take the COMPTIA A+ exam next week. Nervous but after listening to you, I feel like I should not only take a different approach to studying for the exam but also dont feel as overwhelmed with having to study and test. I am coming from a HR background so this is a total career change up and you kinda boosted me up with these videos. Thank you!

So would you recommend doing the google IT certification that google states takes 6 months but could probably get it done in a month or so. Then studying mike myers, messer? Also did you read the comptia book by myers?
