It’s just as important to know your short comings as it is your successes. Valid point, when I went to edit all the clips together and noticed there was no actual carving it was a bit of a forehead slapping moment. But LIVE and LEARN! @@havenlures Thank you for the reply and your honesty. I am a hobbyist lure maker and have made over 200 wooden lures. I spend an excessive amount of time on some lures, up to two weeks. And I enjoy watching others make them, or fish like objects that I can learn from.

Thank you very much! As far as testing the paint, that’s a big question. And unfortunately not a question that has a single answer but I’ll try my best. Before using any colour on a lure test it out on paper first-this way you’ll learn how it sprays. Any subsequent colour will go through the same process but for these colours I suggest a small overlapping with the previous colour to see if/how they react and look together. Over time you’ll learn the characteristics of the paints you have. Hope this helps, if you want more info feel free to ask. Good luck!

I typically use KBS Diamond clear. It’s durable and easy to use

Good question, I typically run between 10-15 psi for most paints. Thicker stuff 20-25 sometimes

Sorry man, I’m not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if this stays shiny after topcoat? If so, yes. I used KBS Diamond clear and didn’t notice any dullness afterwards. What chrome sprays are you using that go dull?? Let me know if this answers your question or if I’m way out in left field on this one

I used super glue for the eyes

@@havenlures What kind of glue is it?

The brand I use is Gorilla Gel Super Glue, but any super glue will work. I like the Gel because it’s thicker and squishes flat to fill the eye socket to remove most of the air. Then you will have less of a chance of small air bubbles in your top coat.
