The original idea for Pee-Wee was that he was essentially a child in an adult body. I believe this is why he has a nice hearty breakfast made for him, only for him to eat three pieces of cereal and say he’s done. That’s what little kids do.

I recently bought a pair of bunny slippers and a stuffed toy carrot and I have been starting my mornings by pretending the bunnies are eating the carrot, then laughing loudly about it to myself. It’s really been helping with my bipolar disorder.

This is one of the best made films of the 20th century. As a child of the 80s born in the late 70s I was born at the perfect time for properly appreciating this film- and its score, humor, and our beloved Paul Reuben’s. He was always in character every time he was in public for over 25 years. He had his trials and tribulations but he was human. He deserves the dignity and kindness he bestowed upon so many others
