Jeff Beck's Goodbye Pork Pie Hat Performed by Paul Baccash

So saddened to hear of the passing of my all time fave guitarist Jeff Beck. I was moved to perform Goodbye Pork Pie Hat. The first song I ever learned of his. I haven't played this in years so I was dusting off the cobwebs in my mind but most of it seemed to come back to me and it felt good. Jeff was a pioneer of making sounds with the guitar that no one ever imagined. And playing with more pas...

Paul J Baccash Have Your Way With Me Official Music Video
I would have purchased one if it had a bolt-on neck. It is too hard to remove the neck to adjust overall "action" on these cheap acoustic., so I prefer Godin's bolt-on solution, by far!
No argument here. But for the price, this guitar rocks!
Sick!!
Paul is gonna ROCK IT!!! 😆😆😆🤟🤟
Was thinking about getting one of these. I played one at guitar center. Definitely needed the action lowered a little. I also have a Godin. This guitar is fun to play. Got to take to a gig to know for sure.
You can put the bullfighter through an EQ pedal
What pots are paired with the Gen 4s ? The standard 250k that come with Strats, or did you upgrade to 500k pots?
So, which is your ultimate choice the Gen4 or Duncan StK4?… I just hate hum!!!!
I prefer the Duncans
Wish you demoed without effects. Just a nylon classical sound.
My antique violin acoustic Ibanez had very poor matching on the top. Different forests on different planets matching. Other than that (it is a low end, steel string model) it's getting better by the day. Been trying to decide on a sister nylon for her...
That chin hair is hilarious
LoL! That's what you focused on??? Drugs are bad, nkay... LMFAO!
@@PaulJBaccash your whole look screams drugs.
Excellant!!!
Thank you!!!
One of the ugliest guitar body shapes!
I really do miss the volume control also. My guess is that it would kind of implicate in it having a pre amp, etc. Basically the same guitar as the Signature model. Still could have the volume and/or a pre-amp more basic or something. The 2 pieces diference should never even leave the quality inspection or something.
The cheap guitar has a lot of quack, which can be solved with a 20 bucks Behringer ADI21. With yamaha you always have the best price / quality . If i could TRY the el cheapo with an adi on my little roland33 , i would surely do it, but if i can t find it in a dutch store , no way.
How about its setup, in particularly the action at 12th ? Thanks for answer.
I show the 12th fret action measurement at the 17:53 section of this video. th-cam.com/video/H2g-ZxVITNs/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching.
This is a real workingman's review. You are a professional guitarist. Really a detailed comparison. love it. I enjoyed every 34 sec. of it. Thank you.
Thank you!
Thoughts between this and the bullfighter nylon?
Hi. This Ibanez plays and sounds much better than the Bullfighter guitar but it is almost 3 times more expensive than the Bullfighter. Since making this video I have played the Ibanez at over 10 gigs and I am really digging it. I just wish it had volume and tone controls. Thanks for watching. I made a review/comparison video of the Bullfighter nylon as well as the steel string. They are on my channel. Thanks for watching! Hope it helps!
@@PaulJBaccash Thank you for the reply! I was actually finishing your bullfighter comparison with the Godin when I stumbled across this one.
As a Tim Henson fan I’m still gonna get the Tod10n, because I like the look and the better pickup too. But the frh10 is a good alternative
I’m gonna get the Tim Henson Tod10n soon
Check my video on the Ibanez Nylon. It's the same model as the Tim Henson without the volume and tone controls. th-cam.com/video/H2g-ZxVITNs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wmeBOe0HOHF8SNqe
Nice Bandana
Nice review, Paul. The wireless transmits the guitar frequencies directly which would normally be 'filtered' out by coaxial cable capacitance filtering. I'd like to have heard it with a 10-foot cord. I do plan to acquire one within a few months.
They want you to buy Ibanez TOD10N Tim Henson with volume control for $200 more.
Exactly
You can buy a passive volume foot pedal for 30 bucks: I took a mic stand and the head of a bar’s beer tap. (Sam Adams!) I screwed the tap onto the mic stand, and velcro’d a little Donner 5-band EQ pedal to the face of it. (The Donner is powered.) And connected this to my vol pedal. All of my EQ controls are now literally right in my face, and much easier to operate and more versatile than onboard EQ, and ditto for the vol pedal. I use this set-up for a few of my guitars, including two Esquire partscasters with no controls that I wired direct to jack.
Thanks Paul. Upside down is used on tube mics.. They heat up pretty fast..This upside down tutorial with a U87 just confuses things.
Looks pretty cool
I love it So... world yet cool song.
Thank you so much Pete!!!
Thanks for this! I have been wanting an electric nylon alternative. The Bullfighter will provide a great testbed. Good job!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!

Do you know how many total spots were created please?
It's so long ago I can't remember. I probably created 2 verions and then edited them to different lengths of time. I may have them on a VHS tape somewhere but would have to find them and then digitize them. Been wanting to for all my past animations but I just havent had the time.
@@PaulJBaccash Thank you so much! I hope it works out well. Fans would love to see all your work!!
@@PaulJBaccash Will see them one of these days when you have the time. :) I'd love to see more of your animations.
Is the string spacing more like an electric or an acoustic? I’m trying to decide between this and the classical version. I like how wide the classical neck looks, but I know bending on nylon is meh.
Thanks for watching the video! The steel string nut width is 1 and 5/8ths inch wide. Exactly the same as my Yamaha acoustic. My Martin nut width is 1 and 3/4 inch wide so it is a little thinner than the Martin. But all 3 are the same width at the 12th fret so I would say the neck of the Bullfighter is definitely more like an acoustic than an electric. The Nylon Bullfighter neck is the same as both my Godin Nylon and Yamaha nylon. Bending any nylon is tough. I can bend somewhat depending on which string and where on the neck. As you experiment you learn where to bend and where not to. :)
@@PaulJBaccash hey thank you for the response, I really appreciate it! Steel string Acoustic style is more of my thing, but as I’ve gotten into bass and more finger style guitar, I rather like the wider spacing, but didn’t WANT to go towards classical necks, but can win them all.
The steel string is a really nice guitar. I play it on my gigs and it sounds great going right into the PA. When I first got the Bullfighter, I felt the action was a bit high so I filed down the saddle little by little, testing it out and filing more each time until I got it to the height I liked. And now it's very comfortable to play!@@Emrys345_Guitar
@@PaulJBaccash great to hear! Thank you
Can you plwase release more ultraman tiga content please?
Add a pre-amp acoustic electric pedal and watch it take off !
"LET'S ROCK IT!!!"
Okay so I bought the bullfighter and the only personal issue I'm having is that I can't get any distortion coming from it through my amp. I've been trying to figure out why and I can't find a clear answer. Is it a limitation of the Bullfighter piezo pickup? The onboard preamp? If anyone can tell me why this is, I'd be very grateful.
I've never tried distorting a Puedo pickup. The whole concept of a Puedo is to simulate an acoustic guitar which is rarely distorted but I guess anything is possible. If distortion is what you were after I would have bought a traditional electric like a telecaster or strat. Maybe someone reading this will have had some experience with what you're looking for but I am not sure. Thanks for watching!
When you said "Paul Baccash here" i swear i heard "Paul the cashier." Thanks for the review! Looking into the Bullfighter.
Hey Paul, JoJo here, hope you’re well. The other with the Tele headstock is actually a steel string. My buddy has one. Very high action.
Correct. I have both. Steel and Nylon. Both sound and play great. Thanks for watching!

The Wired album version of Goodbye Pork Hat is my favorite recording of Jeff Beck. Paul, you obviously totally get it. BRAVO! and thanks for your wonderful musicianship and such a great homage to Jeff.
Thanks so much for the kind words!!!
Is there any truss rod adjustment you can make if needed? Thanks Doug
Yes there is a truss rod and you access it where the neck meets the body
Love it, PJB! Great job playing all of those instruments!! 🎸🎸🎸
Thank you so much Jason!!!
If you have Ultraman Tiga promos or ending credits could you post it please? It has never been officially released
Can you please put up more. Ultraman related stuff please!
Love this Arabic music! Thanks Paul for this tribute to our culture. You play all the instruments so well!
Thank you so much!!!
Just to add to the collective, I just bought the bullfighter as an alternative to the 700 Tim Henson preorder. I don’t think the bullfighter would ever be a studio guitar, but for a $200 backpacker, this thing is awesome.
can u put nylon strings on this? i seen reviews of the bridge breaking as well?
Some of the nut slots are not wide enough for Nylon strings and the neck is narrow. If you sanded the slots you could probably get them to fit. You'd have to use Ball end nylon strings as well. The same guitar is available in a nylon stringed version. I did a review: th-cam.com/video/-rJWqX0mVSw/w-d-xo.html
What's the nut width on that Bullfighter please ? Cheers for the Vid.
Thanks! The nut width is 1 7/8"
@@PaulJBaccashsorry I asked this elsewhere. What is the string spacing from 1st to 6th at the saddle?
The string width from 1st to 6th at the saddle is 2.25"@@drewg5987
